Mountain Getaway

We were very pleased with Meadow View! The accommodations were above expectations. Clean, very well stocked home with an incredible view. You can stay at this home and not leave if you chose not to, plenty to do. We will be looking to book this home again next fall.

Ahhhh-mazing!

Such a relaxing and beautiful home. As gorgeous as these photos are, they don't even do justice to how amazing this home is. Great location, view, activities for the kids, charming decor, privacy, I could go on and on. Once you visit, you will NEVER want to leave. Such a wonderful trip!! Thank you for sharing your clean and lovely home with our family.

Nice home and spacious

Nice home - clean but could use some updating -chair covered in dining room are all worn out and ripped - basement smelled of mildew/water And no trash cans ?! Or toaster?? Kitchen was stocked well- I would suggest replacing the overhead microwave instead of taking up counter space with the second microwave - not much room to cook. We enjoyed our stay

Group Stay

We had a large group stay at this cabin and had to use all bedrooms and bunks. The downstairs was very musty and carpet is awful - it needs replacing. Several in our group had allergy reactions to the musty smell. Upstairs was very nice for the most part. Just really needs updating. This owner needs to put some work into this cabin. Also suggest more towels for the guest. One towel per person is ridiculous . I gave the cabin a 4 for location to our cycle event and the view, the kitchen was decent, and upstairs bedrooms and baths were nice, not great but nice. .

Great place!

We had a great time on this trip and the house was exactly what we were looking for! Great location, close to a lot of cute towns and great places to go hiking. Check-in and check-out were super easy. Recommend!

Great except for bed bugs

Our experience at this beautiful home was ruined by a bed bug problem in the downstairs bunk room. The communication was excellent until the problem was made evident. Having paid that much for a home, I expected some financial compensation. Especially since those pests very well could have hitched a ride back to our house through luggage. The ordeal has been disgusting, disturbing, time consuming and disappointing… The view was amazing but the long, windy road up the mountain was not fun. If we return to that area, I will definitely be sure to investigate the roadways before booking. But will not book with this company again.

Fun Family Weekend

We had a great time staying at this home. There were only 5 of us plus one dog, but we could easily have had 6 others in the house without feeling crowded. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for cooking and there was plenty of space for playing games together (both board and digital). We enjoyed a little friendly competition on the video game in the basement and playing foosball. We skied/snowboarded at both Sugar and Beech Mountains (super easy, close drives) and enjoyed some of the local breweries and wineries. We would definitely rent this house again next time we are in the area.

Excellent Winter Getaway

Beautiful home with amazing views, kitchen with everything we needed, clean, with plenty of room and we very much enjoyed the hot tub and foosball table! Thank you for allowing us to stay in this fabulous rental!

Perfect ski vacay cabin for family

We loved the cabin at Mountain Meadow. It was clean, roomy and had something to offer for everyone in our crew (hot tub, food all, cozy fireplaces, etc). We plan to be back next year for our annual ski vacay.

Not quite clean

The home was well kept however it was not well cleaned we found full beer cans under furniture empty beer cans and cigarette butts on the deck beer cans outside by the hot tub. We found a bracelet in one of the beds the appliances were dirty the cabinet doors sticky floors need swept with no broom to sweep them. If they take care of the cleanliness issue this is a great place to stay. The views are fantastic and the space works well for families with multi age members

The cabin was fabulous and served all of our needs. The roads were scraped daily. We could not have asked for better amenities. We had all the appliances we needed and there were even snow sleds for us to use.

Didn't want to leave!

We absolutely loved our time at Meadow View. From our family nights by the fire to sledding in the beautiful snow, it was a week of fun and rest. Most importantly, we didn't need a vacation from our vacation after it was over. The house was perfectly laid out for our big family and we never felt like we were tripping over ourselves or bumping into one another in the kitchen when we all were working together to make a meal. We would love to visit again in the future!

Picture perfect white Christmas

Positives: This was our first time away for Christmas and we really wanted something beautiful. The cabin was in a great location with beautiful views, very spacious, and had everything you pretty much needed. Everything was modern and up to date décor wise in the cabin. We used both fireplaces every day. The downstairs was fun to use to get away and spread out. We loved the access to park our car in the garage, which helped when it snowed. We did shovel the driveway to get out with the tools in the garage, but thank you for sending the snow plow as well. Negatives: The road to get to the cabin is steep and the driveway as well when it snows, but we knew that going into it so we were prepared with an suv/snow chains, but someone not would have a hard time for sure. The arcade game downstairs was out of order and the darts, which was disappointing. The top bunk bed upstairs was not made with the sheets and it was hard to get up there to get it on. For the most part it was very clean, but there is room for improvement especially in the bathroom floors/showers. Overall a great cabin and we thank you for allowing us to share your home with us! Best Christmas away ever with a lot of great memories had!

Thanksgiving 2020

This was an amazing home in Banner Elk! It was so well equipped that I can’t think of one thing or item we needed that wasn’t furnished! The views were fantastic and our family of 8 cannot wait to visit this home again!

Amazing mountain cabin

I have the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property with friends and family for a quick getaway. We only stayed 4 days (Thursday-Friday) and during those days we enjoyed every part of the property. The kitchen to the bedrooms to the two living rooms and definitely the two fireplaces. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway. Plus the cabin was equipped with everything you need. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful property. Until next time.....

Weekend Mtn trip

The house was beautiful and well equipped. The decor is awesome and the house was stocked with all appliances we needed during our stay. There was plenty of blankets and pillows provided as well. The view was amazing and even tho it was not winter we enjoyed some sliding down the hill. The younger ones as the hill is very steep and not for us older adults lol. Only complaint we had was the arcade game would not work of which I sent and email and they responded that they notified maintenance. Also The trash bins in the garage were packed full from the previous people so we had to haul that off or else there would have been several bags of accumulated trash.

From the first contact with Carolina Cabins, we had a wonderful experience! All correspondence was clear, detailed, and extremely helpful. We were equally impressed with the Meadow View property! It was clean, beautiful, extremely well appointed and was exactly as seen in the description and pictures. It worked out perfectly for our family. We do love to cook, and found the kitchen to be extremely well equipped from the quality of the cookware and dishes to the gadgetry and cooking items that were provided -- everything was there and then some! Also loved the two living areas, two washer/dryer, two fireplaces, etc! And the back decks,incredible view, and close proximity to everything -- just perfect! Thanks!

Great location. Great place.

We had a great time at this property. No real complaints except that the basement level got pretty cold and we couldn’t quite figure out how to heat it, but we just forgot to call the owner during business hours to ask. Would definitely recommend this place for large groups!
