House was spacious. Pool was nice. We went in immediately following hurricane eric swept the buxton area so a lot of damage was present in the neighborhood and beach access was limited but we were fortunate to get in at all.

Great for the price

The view and layout worked great for us and for the price of the home. The pool was a good size and the hot tub was very nice. No shade on the pool deck made it hard to stay out long but not a deal breaker.

Kitchen amenities were a bit disappointing and faucet was not good. One of the bathrooms had both drains almost clogged.

Great location, close to the beach, ocean view! Best way to spend a week in the OBX!

The house was great. It had everything we needed, including a pool and a warm outdoor shower. Any issue or repair was taken care of immediately by management. The location was perfect, a 2 minute walk to the beach and excellent surf! Right by the lighthouse and off the main highway. It was truly such a wonderful week and our first trip to the OBX. We will definitely be back and may consider the Playhouse Too again!

Great Spot

Nice and comfortable for the whole crew to enjoy. Easy access to beach and other cool stuff in Buxton. House was very clean and well-furnished. Hot tub was also in great shape. Pool, which was to have been heated, was not, but we made it work. Also, for anyone who goes to the beach to watch TV (that is not for me), the apps are old so any movies on rain days are highly buffered. Property manager will likely need to update wifi and apps to have it run smoothly. Great stay!

Great house-lots amenities

Lots of stairs if you have elderly or little ones. Bring baby gate if you want to prevent little ones from falling down stairs. Beautiful. Lots amenities. Master has a jetted tub that is wonderful but couldn’t get the plug to work. Second floor balcony could use a gate to prevent dogs or kids from going down where they could get in the road. Would stay again!

It has been a long vacation rental season this year so we appreciate you letting us know about the screens and other issues. These things are taken care of during the off season, when maintenance and home owners are here to update their homes, so we greatly appreciate your notes. Wish you could fix the weather!

First 4 days of our stay it rained almost non- stop, so our 3 days on the beach were precious! Easy walk from property to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked. Only thing we missed having was a large frying pan ( there were 3 small ones). Surf or Sound, the management company, responded with a new propane grill when we found ours to be working poorly. Pool and hot tub well maintained. Ice maker in kitchen freezer extremely slow as to be essentially useless so bought many bags of ice. A larger balcony off the living level with more seating would have been nice, but good place for the price!

Magical time in Buxton

The great room of the house is fabulous., bright, spacious and welcoming. The two decks provide beautiful views and an awesome breeze. We enjoyed relaxing on the covered deck in the comfortable chairs shielded from the sun. The beach is very close and just beautiful. A full view of the lighthouse at the end of the street. The pool area is a fun place to hang out. The hot tub could use an update. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

House had what we needed

We had 6 people and we had all we needed. The store was close. The view was really beautiful. We didn't get to the beach much (due to flooding and storms) but we did get caught up on some very needed family time. Overall I would stay again.

Lovely House

We enjoyed our stay! The game room is so fun for the kids. Each day we walked or rode bikes to the point to enjoy some beach time. Conners Grocery is just around the corner and there are some great restaurants in Buxton. The house itself was very comfy. The kitchen I well stocked and the beds are comfy. We loved the view from the deck. Additionally, sitting by the pool on the warmer days was nice. We want to come back in warmer weather so we can enjoy a dip. It was a wonderful stay and we will definitely return!

Ping pong table was not working and hot tub did not stay hot. We did not report issue with hot tub till we were ready to leave.

Had a couple issues that were not taken care of by Surf or Sound during our stay, but they were not.

Overall great experience. Would have liked a little better beach area, but still was a great place and great amenities.
