Nice for the money

The room was dated and the linens were not great. The couch was terrible to sleep on and the mattress was super squeaky that it kept everyone up. We moved the mattress off the couch into the floor and finally was able to sleep but it was not comfy. The kitchenette area was cute and tidy. There was not a broom to sweep up a spill in the bathroom which kinda sucked but we made do. The shower door is very hard to open and my kid About freaked out thinking they were stuck. The staff was super nice and helpful, the grounds are beautiful!

Great location

The resort was nice … they could have dusted and cleaned bathrooms better… my husband and I went and purchased cleaning products from the market and cleaned it. … … but overall great relaxing stay … we really enjoyed.

Disappointing

We were not informed there was a $20/day/person charge for the lazy river, (which we specifically asked about before booking). The sliding glass door to the balcony was very hard to open, DVD player didn’t work, the phone in the room didn’t work, the coffee pot didn’t work (that was the only thing that got fixed.). We pretty much got the run-around anytime we attempted to get even one of those things addressed. Oh and discovered on the last day the tub didn’t hold the water. The second the faucet was shut off, you could hear it draining. There was also 87 kids in the hot tub, unsupervised, and there was a ton of leaves and things floating in it. Security saw all the kids in it and did nothing. My host was informed of all of this and did not respond at all. We only had contact with resort staff on property. I will never book a resort room owned by a 3rd party again. The host acted like he was not responsible for anything. Didn’t offer compensation or even respond once he knew there were issues.

Comfortable

Overall, well above average. Property and amenities were perfect for visiting the parks and relaxing afterwards. Grounds and multiple pools with spas were clean and well maintained. Security was visible both at the entry as well as on the grounds. Room with jetted tub, walk-in shower, microwave and fridge were nice to have. Unfortunately, a few room items could have been checked by the staff prior to our arrival. Sliding glass door to balcony needed a lot of effort to use, freezer was in major need of a defrosting and was almost useless, and the safe was not functioning (batteries?). Would definitely stay here again with a more thorough walk-through upon arrival.

Good location to visit theme parks

Our host was very responsive, even offering to help us book theme park tickets in advance of our trip. Our interactions were great. There were a few minor issues with the property that stopped us from enjoying it as much as we might have liked: one cockroach found in the bathroom (not unusual in Florida this time of year), a light that flickered so we just kept it off and the tv was not hooked up to service. Wasn't a problem to leave one light off and we only wanted to watch tv once, so overall, these minor things didn't impact our trip very much. Nicely located near Disney theme parks and the mini-market on the property was super convenient! The spa was nice. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Super location and on site amenities

Overall, a beautiful property. So many amenities on site. So close to all the major theme parks. Only 5 minutes to SeaWorld, 10 to Universal, 15-20 to all the Disney parks. Very easy access to I-4, shopping center and restaurants. Room could have been a little cleaner, the fridge door was sticky and dirty inside and all around and under it. Same with the bathroom floor, as well as the jacuzzi tub. They definitely needed a deep clean. The bed was super comfortable. Plenty of pillows and nice to have a little kitchenette as well. The grounds were beautiful and the pool areas were clean and fun.

Great! Great!

Resort staff were ALL very friendly and helpful. Property was clean and safe. View of lake from 3rd floor was gorgeous. Room was comfortable and clean. We ate and had coffee on the screened porch most mornings. Convenient to eateries and Disney Springs. I’m keeping all of my room information for future bookings!!

Good clean studio in a large property with lots of pools

We stayed 3 nights while visiting for a leisurely vacation. It’s a nice property although would have preferred a room on a higher floor for a better view. It’s clean, in good condition and was equipped with everything we needed.

the property was awesome. It had everything we needed inside and outside of the resort. Parking was a bit tough, but manageable. The only thing we didn’t like was that the resort charges each day for wifi. Overall the stay was great.

Review

The place did its job. We had loud neighbors partying next door to us. The pull out sofa was terrible. Almost unbearable to sleep on. They had a few pools which was nice. The only reason I booked this hotel was for the water activity for the kids outside that you had to pay for which we had no idea. It was an okay place but will not be returning.

The room was dusty and dated, there was a thick layer of dust on the lamps and the headboard (near the mattress part at the head). The fridge was leaking and the toilet overflowed after my husband used it (urine). When I called for a different room I was met with resistance (it was late I wanted to sleep).

Westgate Lakes

The room was great, property great but if you need anything from water to any activity on property be ready to pay big, and I mean 4.00 for a small water. Don't drink the water out of the faucet unless you like chlorine..Ya everything on property very very very expensive. The noise does not stop in the daytime. I give Westgate Lakes a 3. I have been to timeshare resorts for 23 yrs. 3 is generous.

A disaster !

The property was dirty, not suitable for staying. Both the room (bathroom, sheets), and outside (cockroaches and garbage). I do not recommend this place to rent. We had to go to another resort

Way too busy. It took 32 minutes to check in at 7 PM

Pool area dirty. Dirty towels laying everywhere. Check in took 32 minutes at 7 PM. Room not cleaned properly. Parking lot full. Way to busy everywhere. Not relaxing.
