great for a get away weekend

property was in good shape it is a mountain cabin so keep that in mind. the driveway was in bad shape and could use some maintenance but overall it was a nice stay with an amazing view from the back porch.

A deck and view to die for

This lake-front cabin with a private dock has a gorgeous view and a deck that you won't want to leave. The cabin itself is pretty rustic and could use some updating, but it is a peaceful place to relax and rejuvenate.

McCall house on the beach

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. There were views of the lake and mountains from the entire back of the property. Short walk from the house, down a private walk to the private dock. The cabin was clean. Loved all of the wood. Would recommend!

Great location

Great location, right on the water. Well priced. Just a little unorganized, no check out procedures, limted amenities, and needs some maintenance. The biggest down fall was the main bed, very old and uncomfortable. But a cheap house on the lake, cant go wrong.

Nice home on the lake

The best part is the home has lake frontage with a private dock. I gave it a 3 star because two of the beds are double beds instead of queen beds, and there is only 1 bath.However, it was clean and was workable for our needs.

Great family outing, with a few challenges

Overall the property was very nice. It was a challenge to get down the driveway to the cabin. There were large potholes in the dirt road driveway. We bottomed out the car a couple of times. There was plenty of room for us, 4 adults and 2 kids. The deck was awesome, the view was great, especially that it looked out over the dock to see the kids play. The small deck next to the dock was nice to sit in the sun, but there were lots of fire ants on and around it. We figured out they don't like mosquito spray, but only for a little while, then they came back. The was had a funny taste and smell, apparently, the cabin has its own well for water that has lots of iron minerals in it. It made for interesting showers.

A notch above camping

While it is a beautiful location, the age, condition of the property and house needs a lot of help. Not worth the price , but if you like a notch above camping you’ll be happy.

Cabin Retreat

During our stay the weather was not great but the cabin was clean and warm. It is old and rustic just how a lake cabin should be. The location was great easy access to town, hiking and Mountain biking. The dock is nice and allows for your boat. Quick boat ride to town to get evening ice cream. Leave your work at home as the internet is primitive and can only handle limited devices. The house is stocked with books and games so your family can reconnect and have fun. Lots of tall pines for a shaded cabin retreat.

Location Location Location

The house was old but very clean when we arrived. The private dock was great, just do not try to take your boat with you as there is no place to park the trailer. It is a dead-end road and I had to back out all the way to the street. The front door to the mud room was great but the second door is a hobbit door and at 6'5" I bumped my head a couple of times and the hallway I could not stand up straight. The water smells because of the iron in the well. It still tastes good and I need a little iron. The bottom line we enjoyed ourselves . It was not the most modern but how to you complain about the view. Would I go back to the same place the answer is yes.

Yuck

If you are a male and care not for personal hygiene and have an affinity for rodents this place is for you. Property seemed to not have been occupied for some time. Soon as we got in, we noticed that a mouse chewed through the upstairs ceiling into downstairs leaving a bunch of sawdust on the lovely green carpet. We went to make eggs and found mouse turds in the sauté pans. There were 2 towels total for a 4 bed house. The trash bin was completely full when we arrived at the property. The baseboard heaters didn’t work. No instructions on how to work the pellet stove. The dock is completely busted in 3 places and is unsteady to use. The pictures are inaccurate. The deck and view and location were great. Everything else wasn’t. So the place was unkept. We were 4 low maintenance guys so we lived but our wives would have freaked out had they been with us. Bottom line is the owners of the property don’t care about it, and the management company doesn’t care much either. McCall is awesome.

Stay for the view

This was our second visit to this property. If you’re looking for a low key place to stay with 5 star views on the lake ? this is it. If you require cable TV ,nice furniture , upgrades and high speed internet? Keep looking. Everything is pretty tired and the property could really use some TLC. This trip the WiFi took a dive. The management team (Suzanne) and maintenance man (Brian) went above and beyond to help get it running, but in the end we were all at the mercy of the service provider (Frontier) who in true Cable guy fashion could not come for a week. I had come up for the view and some quiet time to get some work done. I’m OK with funky, and I don’t much care for TV, But as politically incorrect as it may sound? I gotta have WiFi and decent cell service. Having said all that. I’ll take my chances and come back. The view is that good

Great location and great value

Old school cabin with awesome view of the lake. They have a TV but it’s only for DVDs kitchen is tidy and has everything you need to cook and serve a good meal. I rent a lot of properties thru the web and most have a owners Manuel to tell how everything works. If they have one I couldn’t find it

Great location - Needs some TLC

First and foremost, this is by far the best location for a summer rental. We enjoyed the lake every day and the view couldn't be beat. Unfortunately, there were some negative things about the cabin. When we arrived, the dock was in pretty bad shape. About 50 screws were sticking up on the dock and would have easily sliced open some bare feet. I had to have my son take a screwdriver and screw them back down. The brush is pretty overgrown on the path down to the dock, definitely could use some TLC. The worst part is a dishwasher is listed, but there is no dishwasher in the house. This is why we discovered the dishes to be very dirty. We didn't even use the glasses or plates at all and we washed all the utensils before we used them. We used paper plates and solo cups for our entire vacation. Very disappointing to have to do work like this when you go on vacation because of poor cleaning.
