Storybook House on Wrights Mountain

Hermosa casa totalmente privada en 10 acres arbolados con vista al estanque con vistas a la montaña. A 7 minutos de RT I-91 y cerca de todo. Casa única con plano de planta abierto, techo de catedral y muchas ventanas. Construido en 2008, esta casa es tranquila y pacífica. Los muebles incluyen sillas diseñadas por Frank Lloyd Wright de los muebles Copeland en Bradford. Tiene 1 dormitorio con una cama Queen y un gran loft abierto con una cama Queen y camas Full y un sofá. Hay una sala de estar de planta abierta con 2 sofás y calefacción de gasoil. Internet y televisión por cable con Netflix incluido. También cuenta con 2 cubiertas en los lados este y oeste de la casa y 1 cubierta junto al estanque para observar las estrellas y observar la vida silvestre. O simplemente para sentarse y leer. Hay un pozo de fuego junto al estanque y piragüismo y kayak en el estanque con paletas y PFD en Pond House. Hay algunas rutas de senderismo cortas alrededor de la propiedad también.

Such a peaceful idyllic spot … for us, in the midst of the fall color. The property manager, Morgan, made arrival & self check-in simple for us. We had a delightful stay & will happily return.

A really special place all in all. We can't say enough about how peaceful and idyllic this place is! We would love to come back. The property manager Morgan came immediately to fix an issue we had with water pressure. Being really picky there were a few minor issues with cleanliness but nothing that affected our enjoyment!

The property was quiet, serene and perfect for relaxing! The deck overlooking the beautiful pond in the evening was very relaxing. We played board games, cooked on the grill and when it was dark out, turned on the string of lights on the deck to continue our game. It was just what I was looking for in a relaxing getaway!The property is so beautiful and serene that we would definitely return if planning to be in the area again!

We absolutely loved this place! It was clean, had everything we needed and the grounds and view were beautiful! I am asked the grounds, Goshen rd and hiked up to the cabin on Wrights Mountain. Such a beautiful area! We spent lots of time on the deck listening to the birds and using Merlin app to identify them. It was fun trying to guess what we were hearing. We hope to become regular guests because we loved it there!

Amazing Stay!

My husband and I loved our stay! The property was so beautiful and even had some trails to walk, which was a lot of fun. The house was amazing and had everything we needed! We felt very relaxed and at home during our time there. Steve was very friendly and gave us all the details we needed for our stay and Morgan the property manager was great and reached out to assist if we needed anything. I would love to stay here again!

We came to the area for the fall foliage- the “treehouse” was perfect accommodations The owner sent an email as soon as we booked to welcome us and the property manager sent a text on the checkin date to give us contact info if needed - I so appreciated their attention to kind gestures ! I would definitely recommend this property - it has such character and the grounds are beautiful

Everything I hoped for - and more.

It was a beautiful "cabin" - large, yet cozy at the same time. The grounds were magical and I spent a lot of time with a book by the pond. The bench by the small brook was a unique, appreciated touch. We plan on a return stay for sure!

Peace and relaxation in the woods

We had a great week at the Treehouse, which is set on a beautiful piece of property in the woods. The house was clean and comfortable; set up with everything we needed for our stay. Even when the weather kept us indoors, it was peaceful to just sit in the living room and watch the rain from the windows surrounding us. You always felt enclosed by nature. There is lots to do in the area, and we especially enjoyed the nearby hikes to Devil's Den and Wright's Mountain, and visits to the farmer's market and King Arthur Baking Company store and cafe in Norwich. Hope to return again some time!

Peaceful getaway

We spent six nights at the Treehouse with our three-month-old daughter and had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the house is very comfortable. Hiring Morgan (the property manager and a personal chef) for one night's dinner was a highlight!

A gem of a place

Loved my weeklong stay in July 2024 at this lovely, high ceiling home with everything you need on this 10-acre property. Central A/C and window units were so appreciated as a respite from the outside heat. The kitchen was well equipped. The sofas were comfortable and the TV was appreciated for occupying my mother and teen at night. The dining table was perfect for me to use to get some work done. Morgan, the property manager, was in touch and ready to help if we needed anything. I reserved it for my in-laws in September and will recommend it highly to friends and other family!

fourth of july week vacation

When we first got there we were so happy with the house, .There was everything we needed there. It was very clean and maintained. The location was great for going to the food store. (the only one we ever saw all week) The location was great for taking off to all different places within a hour or two drive. We came home everyday and enjoyed the firepit. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the deck looking at the pond. If I had young children they would have loved going in the pond, we just enjoyed looking at it. we never had an issues or needed to contact anyone about the house. We saw the stars a few clear nights across the street in the field. I would highly recommend this lovely home. everything went smoothly and we were very comfortable there. Thanks for a great vacation.

Great Quiet Getaway!

Hi,
My name is Steve and my brother Glenn and I built this house as a vacation home around 2008 with loving care to details. We enjoy being outdoors and have created great outdoor spaces including a good size pond. We have also been able to to bring the outdoors inside via the many windows and two decks.
We have enjoyed many nights sitting around a fire by the pond and singing and playing guitar, and being with family and friends. It is our favorite getaway and when we are not able to get there then we are thinking about the next time we can!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The cathedral ceiling and all the many windows create an open and bright feel. It feels like you are up in the trees. And you look right over the pond which attracts all kinds of wildlife.
We traveled to Vermont as kids and fell in love with this central location to the White and the Green Mountains! And don't forget the incredible Vermont cheddar cheese right from the wheel in the country stores.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The pond, the views from the living room, and the feeling of being in the trees are all unique features of this home. It is peaceful and private. A chance to get back to a simpler time and renew the spirit.
We always feel that when standing in the loft looking out we are on a ship. The smoke stack, ceiling fans, portal window and view of the pond all support that notion. So last year we added a Ships Wheel to the loft. The kids love it!

We also have a personal chef Morgan, who will come to the house for a unique dining experience. We have enjoyed his delectable offerings many times.
