Great place for family

All 15 of us really loved this property! 2 houses down from the walk way to the beach. The pool was 2 streets over, you could walk but also super easy to drive. Plenty of room in the house and lots of towels.

A house that fits a large family gathering. Huge kitchen, bathroom for all bedrooms and don’t forget the hot tub. My favorite was watching the dolphins in the morning while drinking coffee. We all had a great time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great time and the house and location were wonderful. There were only 5 of us staying here and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The only complaint I'd make is that there was not a lot of cookware & the kitchen items were scarce. Not sure how one would cook if there were more than 7-8 people here. Hardly any utensils, minimal selection of pots & pans, mostly smaller sizes. They could use a shower or place to rinse off before going back in house as well. None of this disrupted our stay, but if we had a large group, it would have been frustrating.

Family Beach Trip

The house was a perfect size for our family of 13. It had everything we needed for our beach trip. The ice maker and elevator was nice extras. Property Management was great and immediately responded to any issues we had.The beach was great. We saw lots of dolphins!! We also liked being able to leave our beach equipment on the beach at night. Our only complaint was the TV and internet. Internet was terrible; we were unable to get a good connection the entire time we were there. A couple of my family members needed to check in at work, but couldn’t due to poor connection. Since the TV is streaming only, we had no reliable service.

Perfect for a large grouo

This house was great for our family gathering of 16, ranging in ages 2-69. The kids had plenty of room to play and hang out and the numerous decks and hot tub were wonderful for early mornings and late evenings. The elevator made it easy to bring our stuff up to the third floor, as both my husband and I have bad knees. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of seating space for all. The place could be improved with just a few fixes. The water pressure was not so great and one shower did not drain well. The hot and cold were reversed in all the bathrooms. The kitchen needs to be stocked a little better, and the hot tub needs a little better cleaning. It would be nice to have hooks on the doors in the bathrooms to hold clothes or towels. It is not very far to the beach, which makes it nice, and there are two hoses in the garage level to wash the sand off when coming back from the beach.

Great piece of property!!! Every bedroom had a bathroom and kitchen was huge and functional. The view from the decks was beautiful. There were very few towels and supplies. We had a late check in because house wasn’t ready. Overall a great experience.

Wonderful property! We had a great time! Hot tub, plenty of toys to take down to the beach, and an awesome rooftop deck made for a special trip with lots of great memories. We lost my dad in August and my 81-yr-old mom loves the beach and wanted to take the whole family. It's been great for her to have something like this to look forward to, and it did not disappoint! The elevator was a huge help for her! She had a great time. We all did, all 17 of us, ranging in age from 3 to 81!

There were some areas that could have been cleaner considering the cleaning fee. Loved the location on the busy 4th of July weekend. The beach was not too crowded. We did have one maintenance issue which was fixed promptly. I would recommend this house and stay again!

Room for a large family vacation

Reviewer Comments: The multiple levels allowed each family within our extended family to have their own space and have some alone time. Unlike some vacation homes, All of the bedrooms were spacious. The mutilevel decks were amazing! Make sure you go to the top deck on a clear night. House is as clean but not spotless. Furniture and paint will soon need an update but honestly it was just right for a large family with kids! Room for everyone to eat together at same time. Concrete cinder blocks for steps down to beach seem like a bad idea. Great trip and would book this house again.

Family Thanksgiving week Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location on the beach is perfect a little far out but the views and almost private beach area is worth it! I hope the owner keeps up with the home as it could use a few things: One being the roof leaked on a rain day this needs to be addressed NOW before it gets worse and makes bigger problems! The hot tub was a bonus but does need steps and a new cover & only 2 of the jets properly working. We did book last minute to this house due to my reservations at another home in OB being in horrible condition! Hopefully next years stay will be Wonderful with the issues above addressed and a reservation booked in advance! Overall this is a wonderful home!! Mark and Becky at Sunset Properties were very Kind and helpful!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our time in Gulf Shores. We loved that there are multiple decks so there is ample ways to have some quiet time. Kitchen is large and great for cooking with plenty of seating. Pool and hot tub were close and wasn't busy which was very nice. Cons: The bunk room didn't have two sets of bunks like the posting and photos described which was VERY disruptive since we needed those two more beds. We had to buy blow-up mattresses and bedding and have them sleep in the living room which made mornings very inconvenient for sleeping in. I called and emailed Sunset Properties but NEVER heard back all week. There were mice in the house. Construction next door so lots of noise and contractors and vehicles everywhere.

Very Dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was very dirty. Our dishwasher was leaking and I contacted the management company. The were going to send someone out, but nobody showed up. There was mold on the heat registers, the hot tub (supposed to be cleaned on Wednesday and Saturday), was disgustingly dirty. The two grills (so dirty you couldn’t pay me to eat off them) should be thrown away. The floors all had a dusting of sand everywhere. The kitchen table was sticky and not cleaned. I would expect my cleaning fee reimbursed to me due to how dirty the property was. I’m not a clean freak, but this was completely unacceptable.

Beautiful Home on the Gulf

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: 1. Alot of homes that were impacted by Hurricane Sally are being booked before they are ready. We stayed in this home last week and and it ready, so if you book there, you can be assured you will have a home to stay in with no last nminute cancellations. 2. This home is literally on the ocean. You can't get much closer. There is a boardwalk in the back of the home, and if you turn right, you will walk past 2 other homes, then turn left and you are on the beach. There are several balconies on the back of the home (one rooftop) with gorgeous views of the Gulf. 3. The home is very spacious with 5 bedrooms and each bedroom having it's own full bathroom. Plenty of room for large families like mine. Cons: 1.This house is for sale, so expect some requests to show it. At first I didn't mind, but it seemed like I was expected to reply quickly to their requests to show it. When I didn't reply within several hours (because I am on vacation and not constantly checking my phone) some guy came over and knocked, then we we didn't answer immediately, he just walked in calling "hello, hello." Not cool. They were more respectful after I complained, and I still agreed to let them show the house.2. There are maintenance issues to be addressed such as a broken toilet seat that was there when we checked in. Hopefully they will take care of it.Overall, I would recommend this home.

Great location; could use some updates

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First the great news: management was very responsive to all requests. We did have some issues the first night we were there -- an air conditioner leak that caused a huge puddle on the second floor; not enough glassware provided; a stopped-up sink; problems with a drawer in a bathroom. Management was notified early the next morning, and the problems were immediately addressed. (Maintenance fixed the house problems and a new box of glassware was delivered to the house that day.)Check-in was very easy, and management communicated very well as to process and also inquiring about any problems.The ice maker was a definite plus and the refrigerator had plenty of space. Lots of cookware and cooking utensils provided. We enjoyed the hot tub which was also well maintained.We loved the location. Be aware that you need to plan ahead for groceries as there isn't a large grocery store without a 30-minute drive, which we knew going in. There is a Dollar General about a 10-minute drive away that has most basic groceries. House layout was nice as was the elevator for taking groceries and luggage up and down. Now for the not so good -- stained sheets and pillowcases. We did request one set of pillowcases to replace a particularly badly stained set and received that the same day requested. However, almost all of the bedding was stained. There was a particularly nasty stained pillow in one of the closets. There are no extra sheet sets.VERY slow/spotty internet. While smart TVs are great if you have internet, they don't work if the internet isn't working so it was pretty much impossible to watch anything.Other problems noticed as we were there longer, but not brought to management's attention -- first floor bathroom had a very slow draining shower and one of the sinks in that bathroom didn't have hot water, only cold.The house would benefit from a new broom! Suggestions for the owners -- add an outdoor shower and poss

Wonderful family trip!! House was missing some nice to have amenities.

Overall we had an absolute blast with family for Thanksgiving in the Gulf Shores area! Everything was so enjoyable and we made memories we will always cherish, but there were some small improvements that would have made it stellar. I'll start with the things we loved: - Super comfy beds and TVs in all rooms but one. - Every room has its own bathroom. The upperstairs bathroom and downstairs kids room does dual as a community bathroom when needed. - The kitchen is nice and big and is fairly well stocked with utensils, plates, cups, stovewear, etc...rental quality for the most part, but the dishes/cups were nice, and you even had a few extra things like a crockpot and broiler. We did bring a kitchenaid mixer since we drove lol - it was much appreciated if you plan on baking or cooking family meals a lot. - The beach is literally right there and the decks have beyond beautiful views with tons of nice seating and tables. - Living room couches and area is really comfy and open. - The dining room table is large and perfect for meals and family games. - The elevator was helpful since we had a larger group. It was easy to send up all the food and cooking gear. It was a fun, unique quirk that was useful. Now for the items we wished were included: - Additonal toiletries, towels, cleaning supplies, and small household iems like that... we arrived to a single toilet paper roll in each bathroom - 5 rolls for 12 people for 7 days. There were some small, hotel-style hand soaps in the private bathrooms, but no soaps other than that. Similar to the toilet paper there were two dishwasher packets and a single detergent packet for cloths. No trash bags besides in the trash can. I think there was 1 paper towel roll and there were a few washrags/towels for dishes. We didn't have enough bath towels for every person though. Just small things that would have made a totally different first impression that would have been much more welcoming. We paid almost 7K and expected a bit more on this front honestly. - The hot tub did act up a bit and wouldn't heat as high as it should, but still worked. Someone fixed it the next day though, so the service was great. - We got there at 3:50, we tried to get in and not thinking about it called. We were told to wait 10 minutes - we walked the beach so really it was no sweat, just kind of humorous.

Disappointing Condition of Rental House

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Size wise, the home is great. However it is definitely ONLY a rental home and is not taken care of very well. The kitchen has cabinets that are literally falling off the hinges. The dishwasher leaks and flooded the kitchen. Who wants to clean on vacation?! The bathrooms are old and outdated. But the biggest issue is the roaches! We saw multiple roaches on both floors of the living areas of the house. We did not take food into any of the bedrooms and still had roaches in the rooms. My MIL had one on her toothbrush! It's disgusting and we had to wash everything we took on the trip with us and bag our suitcases when we got home. Finally, the elevator is broken so if you're counting on using that, don't. I told the property manager about the broken dishwasher and the roaches and nothing was done. We were so disappointed.

Fun Family Vacation location

The Kids enjoyed the hot tub as much as the beach. The property was further out than expected- but it was in a very nice gated community. Great place to get away to if you don't like crowds. We enjoyed cooking for all but 1 dinner out.
