Este nuevo (2018) Chalet de 3 dormitorios 2. 5 baños se encuentra en un terreno privado de 4 acres con propiedad contigua a 13,000 acres de bosques y terrenos de juego estatales para caminatas, caza y otras actividades al aire libre. La chimenea de leña es perfecta para acurrucarse en invierno o disfrutar del fuego al aire libre en los meses de verano. Local y cercano al parque offroad AOAA, Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine Tours, Explore el pueblo fantasma de Centralia, Reading Outdoors, estaciones de esquí y el parque de atracciones Knoebels. Ubicado a 15 minutos al norte de Pottsville, Pa hace de este lugar un poco alejado de todo, pero cerca de Rt 81 y Rt 80. Game room was great especially since I have older kids. We're also a riding family so the trail literally connected to the property were great. Very private and spacious, the dogs enjoyed the running space.

Beautiful property, very clean. Fantastic beds, which isnt always found at rentals. Trails are VERY rocky and bumpy, definitely need to take your time on them.

Wonderful weekend

Really enjoyed the hottub, game room, the local trails, and the outdoors. Very clean and 'homey' vibe.While in the area definetely goto Kowalonek's Kielbasa shop.

June 2024 review

We travelled with 4 teenagers and our dog. We had almost fall like weather so between mornings/evenings on the back deck and fire pit, some ATV riding, a couple of hikes, our week went by pretty quickly! One thing to note, we wanted to go check out Swatara falls (about a 30-minute drive) but when we arrived at the GPS location, all the land and pull offs along the road were marked as posted and you would be towed. Since we're not that familiar with the area, we decided not to risk it. I would just say proceed at your own risk if you do decide to check this one out. ATV riding, for us, this was what the kids were most looking forward to, but we did not anticipate the rockiness of the trails in the area (more used to Rails to Trails type of riding), this is not a negative, just a heads up if you are used to smoother trails (also hard to navigate our SXS-too long). The house had everything we needed including pretty nice selection of spices, cooking wear/utensils, cleaning supplies (I appreciated having a vacuum) and the washer/dryer onsite was a huge bonus for us! As other reviewers stated, even though there are neighbors close by you still feel like you are tucked away, and you can hear the neighbors but that didn't bother us. Overall, we had a really nice stay and would recommend this place to others for sure!

Amazing Property and Host!

Could not be happier with our stay! The house is super clean and new and has everything you would expect from a quality rental. Plenty of room inside and out and also plenty of parking which we needed with our trailers. Matt is an amazing host with great communication and was very helpful in all aspects of our stay. Will stay again, 100%! Book with confidence you will not be disappointed.

Cabin in the woods

House was exactly what we were hoping for. Plenty of room inside and out for activities. Game room downstairs was very nice with pool, darts, fooseball table, and a large tv. The outdoor space was perfect for hanging out or simply enjoying a fire, or drink on the deck. There is a trail right behind the house that you can hike up. House was super clean. We would for sure go back.

Amazing house and property!

We could not have been happier with the house and experience we had! The house was very clean and had every amenity we could ask for. The hot tub was clean and worked great, and the outside fire pit area (with the lights that are hung) was great as well! The kids and I really enjoyed the game area downstairs and the pool table was very well maintained. The location was great too. We took a few short drives to Boulder Field and Lake Harmony(both about 40 minutes away) and spent a day at Knoebels (only about 20 minutes away). It was truly one of the best rental experiences we ever had. Just a super well maintained, beautiful house in the middle of the woods. Highly recommended for families or small groups. We had an amazing time and hope to visit again!

50th birthday

The house was beautiful, exactly what the listing described. Very close to Knoebels. The hot tub was a blast with the TV which made it extra special. Loved having the outdoor fire pit and the outdoor barbecue. Scenery was stunning. This was a perfect secluded getaway house with all the amenities will definitely go back.

Great setup for two families with kids

Very clean, great communication. Well set up and stocked w supplies. FYI to potential future renters, the pics and description make it sound like it is very isolated, but there are other houses very close. This wasn't a problem for us, we were just surprised. There was a lot of noise from those houses bc of some construction (again, not a problem, just not what we were expecting).

The cabin was clean and had all the comforts and conveniences of home. Hiking the many trails and relaxing on the deck was easy and peaceful.

Not quite secluded

The property is very nice. However, there are a couple of other residences within a 100 yards or so. There are video surveillance cameras on every corner of the house. This would include the nice private deck and hot tub area. The surveillance cameras were undisclosed on the listing at the time we made the reservation. It appears that the host has now updated the listing. This was to be a romantic getaway with my wife, but the cameras diminished that. If you don't mind being recorded, this is a pretty nice place. I would add that the host offerred a refund if we packed up and left immediately on the evening of our arrival, unfortunately it wasn't a viable option.

Perfect Christmas Cabin Vacation

Six of us stayed in the cabin over Christmas weekend and it was the perfect "Hallmark Christmas" for us. My husband - a fantasy football enthusiast - loved all the TVs throughout the house! All the bedrooms were a great size, and there is so much natural light from the windows. Our dogs had fun running in the snow. It was too cold for the hot tub, but we appreciated that it was there. Hope to stay again when it's a little warmer! Matt was an amazing and communicative host!

Great Getaway with trails!

My wife, her parents and I wanted a little getaway for new years, so we found this incredible house in PA. We wanted to visit the Yuengling brewery, which this place was only 25 minutes away! The whole house + property was clean, well stocked up with cooking utensils, and of course the hot tub. There is also a ATV trail right behind the house that is supposed to go up to wind mills, unfortunately it was raining during our trip - so we only made it half way with our dog. Luckily, we were able to keep ourselves busy with a few board games, pool, and a dart board while it rained. The only downside (or upside, depending how you see it) is the location of the property. It is nestled behind a few homes, with almost any store / town ~15 minute drive.

I originally purchased this 4 acre land from the polish national church. It used to have a rec-hall, picnic pavilion and outhouses on site. After spending 5 years camping on the weekends on the land I decided that it was finally time to build something here since I absolutely love the area and it's simple charm. With the property being close to a couple of attractions I decided to make the house a bit larger to accommodate rentals. This is my first new house and it has been a very cool experience building something from scratch. If you stay, I hope you enjoy my ideas of a modern but cozy mountain retreat.
