4month stay

I had a very enjoyable 4 month stay at this location. It was clean and in good condition. The owners were extremely responsive to any of my questions. The tiki area is so pleasant- I sat out there practically every night. It was quiet and peaceful. I would recommend highly.

My husband and I enjoyed our month long stay at Key Largo Ocean Retreat. This place was very clean and well kept. We especially liked all of the outdoor seating areas. It was a great location because of access to the rest of the Keys, Homestead and Miami. The owners were very responsive to our questions and quickly resolved an issue with the DVD player.

Wonderful Stay

We had a great 2 month stay here. Property was clean, great amenities, responsive owners and great neighbors! The outdoor tiki hut area is absolutely wonderful and relaxing. We even saw a manatee off the deck area. Close to several restaurants although not quite walkable to them. You can walk to the Family Dollar and the Winn Dixie which are really close. Great location to stay and explore the keys!

Amazing Key Largo Home

My family and I had such a wonderful time in this beautiful and cozy Key Largo home. They were so thoughtful when decorating their home, everything you need is provided. It’s located in a safe and peaceful neighborhood. The owners are very nice and easy to work with. We recommend this property 100%!

if you love coming to the keys this is the perfect location to start from.

This wonderful little piece of paradise was terrific.With all the Keys flavor.From the tiki hut to relax under or the screened in porch.With easy access for your kayaks to paddle thru the canals and mangroves.Thank u my host for an enjoyable stay...Qtip.....

the out side entertaining area was fantastic, we have a party for my 55th and we had a blast

The rooms were nice size, and the home was clean and decorated adorable. Only thing I would suggest it that the host create more space for a pantry. We had to move towels out of the hallway closet to create a place for dry goods. All in all I give it a 5 star rating.

A lovely place

This 2br is well organized and maintained and provides spacious rooms for our family of 3. It even has a second full bath as a plus that was not mentioned in the listing. Awesome location. Safe neighborhood. Sitting by the canal. We fish (caught tarpons a few times) or watch fish or just enjoy the tiki hut or sunroom. Even saw a crocodile visiting the canal and sunbathing nearby. The owner is very responsive and helpful.

Key Largo Retreat

Hiran and Sarahi exceeded expectations to ensure we enjoyed our 2-month stay – providing bicycles, paddle equipment and even bringing over a Cuban sandwich when we asked where to find one. They responded quickly to any issues.The property is an original build on a boat canal. It is very nicely maintained, with many improvements including a 2nd bedroom and bathroom, and nicely finished outside decks. There is even a screened deck area, although noseums can sneak in during dusk and sunset (keep bug spray handy). There are 3 separate heat pumps for AC /heat, internet was reliable, and the smart TV had a combination of antenna, Prime XTV and Netflix. The kitchen and propane BBQ met all our cooking needs. The central location is great for (long) day trips to Key West, the Everglades and Miami. The neighborhood was very quiet during the week but a livelier crowd can show up during weekends/major holidays. We felt very safe walking the neighborhood at night. We thoroughly enjoyed the setting on the boat canal. It was great relaxing under the tiki hut, listening to music on the bluetooth speakers and watching fish jump in the canal. We launched the kayak/canoe from the deck, and paddled the many canals on the Gulf of Mexico side of the keys. We spotted manatees, a couple lounging crocodiles and many birds in the nearby bird sanctuary. We also saw neighbors fishing from their back deck. We would definitely return if we visit the Keys again.

Perfection for those with kayaks and canoes

This is a spacious and clean mobile home in a quiet neighborhood with excellent, courteous neighbors, most of whom are only present on the weekends. We brought our kayaks and were able to leave the trailer out of the way behind a gate next to the house. There is an exterior room perfect for housing fishing gear and yak equipment. There is even an extra, exterior fridge for bait and drinks. It is super easy to launch the boats right on the property and we felt comfortable leaving them in the water during our stay. Lots of places to paddle to for a hour or for a day. The property has a very lovely outside space including a floored, spacious, nicely appointed tiki hut with a ceiling fan and Edison lights, as well as a separate covered eating area plus an outside shower, sink and hose. We spent more time under the tiki hut than inside, especially in the evenings watching the stars reflected in the water. A watchful eye may even spy a manatee in the canal, as we did twice during our stay. So quiet and peaceful! A special treat for us was the faint ringing on the hour of the St Francis church bell between the hours of 9-9. If a tiki hut is not for you, there is also a screened in porch with a nice full bath off to the side. The location was perfect for us with lots of restaurants, a Winn Dixie and a Family Dollar all within a quick drive, walk or bike ride…and two bikes are available on the property. The owners were easily reached, but never intrusive. Wonderful trip!

Very clean. Great location

First, I want to say the Hosts were absolutely wonderful. The check-in took just a few minutes. The house and property was very clean The house was plenty big for a family. 2 bedrooms and 2 futons in the living room. . The kitchen was fully stocked. with a grocery store 5 min away .I spent most of my time under an awesome Tiki Hut grilling out. There is also a screened porch, if preferred. several Bars and restaurants are only a few min away. I'm definitely coming back.

Great location!

My partner and I stayed for four weeks while working remotely. The outdoor areas were so well equipped we barely spent any time inside. We would definitely come again!

We enjoyed our stay there very much, and would recommend the property to anyone. We stayed 44 days and was sad to leave really great outside space, and truly loved the tiki hut, was nice being on the canel and used the kayak several days and love the bike. We would love to stay there again, and what a wonderful neighborhood, always felt safe. Sarahi and Hiran were great. John and Peggy

Key Largo Ocean Retreat

Property is lovely, very pretty landscaping. A screened in porch and a tiki hut are fabulous additions to the property. Owners are delightful & easy to work with. There is everything you will ever need inside this home and it is decorated beautifully.

It is as advertised and a bit more. Clean, well stocked, comfortable and thoughtfully presented. The Tiki area is pleasantly furnished and spacious. Your best investment however, will be the awesome owners..friendly,engaged,helpful, they take pride in delivering a satisfying experience to their guests.

A little piece of paradise

Sarahi and Hiran thank you so much make our stay in Key Largo unforgetable. We never had a vacation like this and we came around in Florida. We are three guys from Germany, Andreas, Rebecca and our Son Richard. We came for fishing, relaxing and to enjoy caribbean flair. The house is very nice, clean and good located so we could enjoy every day of our 4 weeks on the Keys. 30 Minutes to Florida-City with any possibillities of shopping. Only 30 minutes from Islamorada Fishing Capital of the world with lots of opportunities to catch big fish. We enjoyed the beautiful sun deck and the Tiki hut. We also did kayaking around the lagoon where the canal is closed to. Watching birds, dolphins and manatees. These lovely guys came close to the boat ramp so we could hear them breathing. Richard loved fishing from Deck in the canal and so he could catch a tarpon. The owners Sarahi and Hiran are very friendly and courteous. They They took care of us and we felt good every time. Relax in Paradise

I had an absolutely amazing stay! This home is truly a little slice of paradise, and it’s wonderful owners were the best hosts. They made sure I had everything I needed to fully enjoy my time at their home. The house is located right on a canal, just a short paddle away from the cove where you can witness some of the best sunsets you’ll ever see! The house has amazing outdoor spaces to enjoy the wonderful Key Largo weather. There’s a large deck with multiple types of seating (couch, chairs, barstools) and a great hot tub. There is also a nice screened in porch with an overheard fan, which was the perfect place to relax each night after the sun went down. They’ve also created a wonderful little space across the street, a small deck with a chair overlooking another little cove where you can hear the most amazing chorus of birds each night as the sun sets! The house has everything you could need, with a fully stocked kitchen that has a garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a large fridge with an ice maker. There’s also an outdoor fridge within a second screened in porch area for easy access to refreshments while enjoying the outdoor areas. I spent most of my time outside while at this home, in the comfortable outdoor spaces they’ve created. The home is beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfy. Each bedroom, and the living room, has a separate AC unit so that everyone can enjoy their own temperature settings. The AC units are very powerful, quiet, and can cool a room down before you know it! I joked with the owner that I’d turn on a bedroom unit at night, go to brush my teeth, and by the time I returned to the bedroom it was cold. If you are looking for the perfect base for all your adventures in Key Largo, this home is it! I’m already trying to figure out when I can stay here next and enjoy this wonderful property again!

This was the first time renting for a month and all I can say is that it was awesome. The home was like a resort, we spent all our time at the tiki bar and the back deck, the neighbourhood is very friendly and safe. The home was clean and well stocked with all amenities. The sunset views were terrific and it is close to everything, restaurants in the area are great, excellent food and service. I would definitely recommend staying here. The owners were excellent and very hospitable.

Everything you need in a great location with wonderful owners.

Great Location! Enjoying my stay so much that I’m extending it another month. Perfect relaxing retreat with all the comforts of home. Especially love mornings on the kayak and evenings on the deck. Looking forward to enjoying the jacuzzi now that the weather is cooler. The owners have been fantastic providing everything promised with prompt communication.

A sweet spot in the Keys!

We found our family "sweet spot". We loved EVERYTHING about this place. The home itself was so cozy and clean, and we had every appliance we needed in the kitchen to prepare our meals. (WinnDixie was only 4 min down the road). We ate almost every meal on the deck/Tiki hut and enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood (trash days must be on the weekend bc the garbage trucks did come early in the morning). The beds were comfortable and each room had its own AC unit. We had the option to borrow their kayak and/or canoe, but We brought our own 21 ft deck boat (which did make it through the VERY shallow and VERY tight opening of the canal) but then we were able to joy ride down the waterway into JohnPennecamp State Park each day. The owners were so nice and accommodating to our different needs and were genuinely concerned about our comfort and stay, It was hands down the MOST relaxing, enjoyable weekend my family has had in a long time. We can't thank you enough for sharing your perfect little vacation home with us!

Cozy Chic

We were the first to stay at Ocean Retreat. The owners Sarahi and Hiran could not have been more accommodating. They both had worked hard for seven months to turn their home into a welcoming vacation escape. The brand new Tiki hut provided welcome relief from the sun and a great place to play dominoes or just sit and enjoy the view. Brand new deck, appliances, gas grill…and everywhere designer touches and artwork made for a homey atmosphere. Access to the bay is just a short paddle down the canal on the canoe or small kayak provided. After firing up the charcoal bbq one day, Hiran showed up to deliver a gas one AND a smoker…just in case. We had a problem with the dryer on week one, called to let them know- and three hours later they showed up with A BRAND NEW ONE. Key Largo seemed to escape the brunt of the storm last fall, and there are a myriad of restaurants and bars to explore. (NOTE: The Keys is a community built around water activity - happy hours start at 4, music ends at 9 or 10 save for a couple places. Plan on early evenings. Jimmy Johnson's Sports bar just down the road closes even when the game you're watching is at halftime!) Kitchen is fully stocked, the canal waterfront is quiet save for some weekend renters occasionally sharing their music. There is a small dock overlooking a salt water bayou across the street perfect for a cocktail and watching the fish and birds (yes, and a crocodile or two). Managed to catch my share of sea trout, mangrove snapper and cuda from the canoe. Two large futons in living room, plus a pull-out under the bed in the spare room mean plenty of room for guests. Bathroom shower has nice pressure even if the head is a bit low for my 6'3" frame. Bring your fishing rods, snorkel gear (Pennecamp Park is just a couple miles away) and sun lotion. Also bug spray - we had few mosquitoes (had been dry) but the no-see-ums are out for a couple hours early evenings. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Having a boat would have been a big plus…but our two months were a delight.
