Originally we were only planning to stay in Boulder for one month, but ended up needing to stay for a second. It was truly a blessing to be able to stay at Wendy’s Boulder Abode for our extended stay. Please read my previous review about our first month. We echo all and more positive and wonderful things we wrote about our first month, for the second month as well. Staying here for another month was truly double the blessing!

From the day we arrived at this modern, clean and bright, peacefully decorated and well equipped apartment, we felt welcomed by our wonderful host, Wendy. The apartment includes an outdoor patio with table, chairs, and grill, surrounded by flowers and a beautiful yard. The apartment is located in a safe and friendly neighbourhood with multiple parks within a short walking distance, that give wonderful views of the mountains and an entrance to the well-kept 4 Mile Creek Trail. The location was perfect for us with only short driving distances to scenic Open Space Mountain Parks and Trails along with easy access to downtown Boulder, shopping and amenities. Wendy was always only a text away and graciously and quickly answered any questions we had. Her advice on trails, places to visit, and how to navigate the bus system was invaluable and much appreciated. We are very grateful that we could stay here during our time in Boulder.

Reserve a place to stay two days before my date came up to check in they called and said it’s no longer available after they already took my money and said I have to call Vrbo to try to get a refund. They weren’t gonna mess with it very very very very unhappy with it.

There is no lake. I tried to leave it blank, but couldn’t review it without rating it.This needs to be removed. A lake was never part of the stay.The host and the property were excellent.

All the comforts of home!

Our family enjoyed a three-month stay in Wendy’s apartment, and we couldn’t have wished for anything more. Wendy and her sons were truly warm and welcoming, and although they live upstairs, our apartment and outdoor space felt totally private. The apartment lacks for nothing— the bedrooms and living spaces are comfortable and beautifully decorated, the kitchen has everything you’d ever need, and having a front loading washer and dryer in the apartment was definitely a plus for our very active family. Everything was well maintained and the garden was even more beautiful than it is in the photos! Our only complaint is that we actually have to leave to resume our regular life outside of Boulder— haha!

Terrific Stay

This is a very comfortable, well-equipped apartment. Wendy was communicative and responsive. The location was perfect for us, too, as we traveled to and from our daughter’s North Boulder home. We would happily stay here again.

The layout is thoughtful and furnishings are stylish. The owners are thoughtful and responsive. The location is convenient to outdoor activities and nearby towns of Longmont and Lyons. Public transit to downtown Boulder is very nearby.

Beautiful home in a great neighborhood

I recently moved to Boulder and stayed here for my first 6 weeks. It's a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood and ≈5-15 min drive from just about everything. Ron and Wendy are incredible hosts. They are very responsive, thoughtful, and caring. I was blown away by their attention to detail. I typically bring my own equipment when I stay at a VRBO because I assume the kitchen supplies and other appliances are beat up, and that they won't have the little things that I need. This was not the case. Almost everything I wanted was there, in good condition, and right in a place I would put it. When looking for a place, what I care most about is the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. All three are excellent, as is the rest of the place. The bed is super comfy and the room is quiet and dark (if you pull the shade down). I rarely heard noises from the floor above. There is a decent amount of natural light and plenty of extra lighting. You have your own parking space, patio, and grill area. I highly recommend it. Most people stay for several months so it's rarely available. Book it if you can.

Perfect Abode!

I thoroughly enjoyed my month stay this summer in this great apartment. It is immaculate, safe, upscale, quiet, well-appointed. You will have everything you could possibly want or need. Ron and Wendy are excellent, personable hosts who make you feel welcome and “at home” while respecting your privacy.

A lovey respite

I needed a place to stay while searching for property in Boulder and this fit the bill. It was very comfortable, the hosts were attentive but not overbearing at all, the gardens were a beautiful place to hang out, there were many trails nearby, and I enjoyed my stay.

North Boulder apartment

The rental is spacious, well appointed, and fully stocked with incidentals. I loved the attention to the bedding- the mattresses and linens were perfectly comfortable. The owner is responsive to needs- unfortunately Covid protocols prevented in person interactions during this stay. A top notch experience!

The best in Boulder!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a month to ski, visit friends and enjoy Boulder. We couldn’t have had a better experience. The hosts are super accommodating and the space was absolutely perfect. Clean, comfortable, cozy, with extra touches to make you feel at home. We loved the fireplace and the kitchen amenities! Thanks so much again!

This place was fantastic!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this rental. I stayed here for five months during a temporary assignment in the area. It was the longest amount of time I’ve spent away from my beautiful home in San Diego. This place felt like home and I have absolutely no complaints at all. I have only positive things to say about this place and it’s owners. First of all, it is extremely comfortable and very well-maintained. The amenities were in really good shape. There was even a nice little area set up in the yard for the tenant to enjoy The landlords are very nice people and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. They were the perfect balance of friendly yet very respectful of privacy. Anyone lucky enough to book this place has a great find. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Stay in North Boulder

Very good owners, very helpful. North Boulder is away from the crowds. Did the boulder bike trail a lot from here. Everything worked well from there.

Not sure what was better, the House or the Hospitality

I just finished staying for three months in this lovely apartment. The space was fantastic. Plenty of room, nice amenities, super nice hosts. They think of everything. I was greeted with a welcome basket full of food and information about living ( and playing) in Boulder. They were always available if there were any small issues. A couple of mornings I even woke up to the owner shoveling snow from my walk. Can't say enough nice things about my experience in this home. I would highly recommend this to anyone coming to Boulder!

Perfect home away from home!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect rental: the apartment was spotless and had every amenity we could have wanted. It is exactly as pictured. The gas fireplace made it cozy and the welcome snack basket was a nice surprise. Wendy and Ron were wonderful hosts, providing alot of information and maps of the area. Great location, with easy access to downtown Boulder and the other major roads. There are walking/biking trails in the neighborhood and many others nearby. We hope this apartment will be available when we are in the area next time!

Lovely lower level apartment w/ gracious onsite owners.

Welcomed with thoughtfully assembled basket of goodies. Unit was sparkling clean upon arrival. Quality bed linens and bath towels were an added bonus. Kitchen, though small, was complete w/ full sz. appliances, full array of cooking utensils, pots, pans, and small appliances such as toaster oven, blender, Keurig, sm. food processor, etc. Owners maintain a lovely garden in back yard, where tenant is invited to share and enjoy. Owners were quick to respond to a minor shower leak, and even offered use of their upstairs guest bath while problem was being repaired. Ron & Wendy could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. Gas fireplace wonderful for taking the chill off cool evenings, too. Highly recommend.
