Casa de vacaciones familiar de 2 dormitorios (Caddo Cottage) cerca del lago DeGray.

Si te gusta la paz y la tranquilidad, esta propiedad es para ti. Esta cabaña junto con la casa del propietario es todo lo que se encuentra en un terreno de 30 acres rodeado por 3 lados por la propiedad del Cuerpo de Ingenieros para evitar que estemos demasiado cerca del lago. A pesar de que no podemos acceder al lago en nuestra propiedad, el área pública más cercana, el área de Caddo Drive está justo pasado nuestro camino de entrada. El parque estatal DeGray Lake Resort se encuentra a 3 millas de nuestro camino de entrada. Las áreas de Edgewood Drive y Caddo Drive ofrecen natación, rampas para botes y picnic. Nuestra cabaña incluye toallas, (traiga toallas para el lago) platos, ollas, sartenes, etc. Caddo Cottage está completamente amueblado junto con 40 "TV, satélite, DVD, microondas, cafetera, cocina, lavavajillas, parrilla de carbón (traer carbón y encendedor ) y pozo de fuego. Para los niños, tenemos muchos equipos únicos para el patio de recreo. Asegúrese de notar nuestra ENORME terraza bajo el techo con columpio, bancos y una gran mesa de picnic.
Caddo Cottage tiene una cama doble y una cama queen en CADA habitación. Podemos acomodar hasta 4 adultos y hasta 4 niños.

We had a great stay! Cabin was clean, relaxing, and homey. We wasn't able to use the Wi-Fi, but we really wasn't bothered by that. Our kids had fun on the playground equipment.

Had a great stay

Great spot for fisherman to stay. Close to boat ramps. Very hospitable owners. Clean and had all the amenities we needed. Will stay again.

Weekend trip

We stayed last weekend here. And it was a nice place. Big enough for all of us that came. There were a lot of spiderwebs though. Really the only thing I have to say about it. Other than that it was nice.

Convenient location to the lake!

This cottage was quaint and cozy! This was a perfect location for my husband during his tournament fishing. Owners were very easy to communicate with, would stay here again.

Beautiful location

We didn’t stay Thursday 4/10/25. We checked in Friday 4/11/25 and checked out 4/12/25. Also the air conditioner didn’t work that was my only issue. Other than that the place was beautiful and a good stay.

Scenic country setting

My kids loved this place! Absolutely beautiful scenery. The kids toys outside entertained my little ones for hours, they didn’t want to go home. The inside is a bit dated and smells a little musty, but once the A/C circulated air and we lit a candle we brought, it wasn’t an issue. The property owners are real nice folks as well. It’s a great value for the price and I had to promise my kids we’d come back.

Roomy cottage

We enjoyed our stay at Caddo Cottage. There was plenty of room for my family of seven. It was further off the highway than we imagined but it was quiet and peaceful. The cooking supplies could use updating. But overall we would recommend this place and possibly return for another stay.

Nice Property

Property was nice and as described. The property was well supplied. Check in process could have been better. We arrived late and were unsure of how to access the property. Fortunately the property was unlocked and ready for us. The air could have been turned on prior to our arrival. The temperature was hot and with one air conditioner for the entire property, it was well into the night before the building was comfortable.

I am sorry you weren't happy with your easy access late at night. We usually ask guests to come to our house (on the same property) to pick up their key. upon booking you are given our information for any questions you have. I do remember getting a phone call about where to get the key. It was raining that night so ac or air was a question.

Beautiful secluded property

My family, including two adults and five kids ages ranging from 3 to 13 stayed here for the April 2024 eclipse. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. The house was very clean and was exactly as described in the listing. The kids loved playing on the playground equipment outside and since the property is a ways back on a driveway, we were very comfortable letting them be outside on their own. Keep in mind that there is no wi-fi and cell service is very spotty (T-Mobile). We expected this, so it was no problem at all. There are four beds, so we had the kids doubled up on a few, again this was expected and exactly as stated in the listing. The location is about 30 minutes from Hot Springs where there is lots to do. Highly recommend for families with kids!

Mold Exposure and BED BUGS

Our experience was deeply troubling and unacceptable for the following reasons: Mold Exposure: Upon arrival, we were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of mold throughout the house. My husband and daughter both have mold allergies and began feeling unwell shortly after entering the home. The mold was pervasive enough to affect the air quality, making it difficult for them to breathe comfortably. Bed Bug Infestation: The situation escalated when, in the middle of the night, our daughter woke up screaming because she found bed bugs crawling on her. This was an extremely distressing and traumatic experience for her, and it left us with no choice but to leave the property immediately. I confronted the owners, who initially tried to downplay the situation by claiming the bugs were normal due to the home’s wooded location. However, as someone who has worked in student housing for years, I am very familiar with bed bugs and can identify them easily. The owners eventually admitted to the infestation but were still reluctant to take responsibility, even suggesting that we might have t the bed bugs with us—an accusation that I find both offensive and baseless.

Secluded Bliss

Perfect home for our family. The kids enjoyed some of the playground equipment. Plenty of sleep space. Nice large rooms. Hidden in the woods on the owner's property, but far enough from their own home to have your own privacy. We couldn't ask for much more.

We are a retired couple that has owned our 30 acres since 1992. We built this 20 x 40 building plus 16 x 20 porch to live in ourselves for 1 1/2 years while we built our Victorian house. We have a long one way in and one way out driveway (that is being black topped right now). We just spotted a group of 8 turkeys yesterday. We always have deer grazing. We feed raccoons at night, have an armadillo that comes up on our back porch and of course numerous birds and squirels.

We have a 16 x 20 porch under roof so you can be outside, cook, eat, & visit even if the weather isn't perfect.
