We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. And we really liked that we could communicate with Jonathan and Peter whenever we had a question. West Island is a very relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the ocean breezes.

Sweet Beach Stay

Adorable cottage, just right for us two older sisters. Very accurate listing. Kitchen was well appointed and stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses and useful tools, spices and condiments. Excellent quality linens, comfy beds. Enjoyed many days of big beach walks and small beach swims. Beach views from cottage were sweet.

West Island Comfort

If you’re interested in a perfect West Island home for a vacation rental, then the West Egg is for you. Peter and Jonathan’s beach home was very accommodating! The premise was clean and comfortable. It’s location was ideal for our needs, and the outdoor shower was terrific! It’s a home we plan to rent next year. Thank you!

It's hard to go home....

This house is our annual exhale. Vacation starts when we unlock the door to this thoughtful and beautiful home. We have a family reunion every year...except for that damn COVID...and every year it serves us perfectly. We love it here!

THE PERFECT VACATION

There are only wonderful things to say about our six days at this charming, lovely, property. EVERYTHING one needs (including the view) is provided. A manual was provided with house instructions, hints, location of every item one might look for, restaurants, beaches (and a beach pass), sites, etc..The decor was bright, creative and colorful. The kitchen full of anything one needs and very well-organized. Architectural details sleek and beautifully integrated. Fabulous art on the walls. Comfortable beds with luscious bedding. The entire house has been updated and expresses attention to the smallest items. Nothing was missed. Jonathan and Peter have developed a space that encourages one to sit back, relax and enjoy. We spent our days walking beaches, eating great food (and there is loads of it around), enjoying the sunsets, and, oh yeah, sampling all the ice cream we could. My best friend and I settled in and did not want to leave. Thank you to the owners for thinking of and supplying everything we could have dreamed of for a delightful stay.

Amazing Holiday Gem

I felt completely at home from the moment I walked in the door. The space is absolutely charming and it’s decorated with a wonderful selection of mid-century modern furnishings and accessories. The cupboards are filled with everything you could possibly need for a fun and relaxing time on the ocean. West island is an amazing place to spend some quiet days. Relax In Style

My husband and I enjoyed this cottage immensely!! We wanted this vacation to be more relaxing, less scheduled. Sleeping in and having coffee with an ocean view, in a well styled space. This was perfect! Three sliding glass doors opened to let in the ocean breeze…softly blowing sheer white curtains. It’s the vibe we were going for. And we really appreciated the mid-century modern decor. The bed was very comfortable, and the dresser had many drawers for us to divvy up. The hosts provided ingredients for French toast in the morning, so we didn’t have to go in search of breakfast. They also had a beach umbrella and a cooler to take to the beach. Very important if you’re making a day of it. Also a nice touch, was a binder with restaurant information (including some menus) and the history of Fairhaven. My favorite amenity was the outdoor shower. There’s something therapeutic about showering among the trees. We didn’t want to leave!

Fabulous!

This is a beautiful cottage on West Island. Completely re-modeled-very modern and clean with all the amenities. Great beds with new bathrooms that have terrific showers. The views of the water are beautiful and the sunsets spectacular. This is a lovely place to stay and we highly recommend it. Thank you Peter and Jonathan!

Just the getaway we needed!

We had a wonderful time here! From the communication prior to making our reservation through check out, Peter and Jonathan were available and helpful. This property is adorable and the views of the ocean are fantastic! We had everything we needed while there and enjoyed access to all of the surrounding beaches. We also have to say that the beds are so comfortable, which is such an amazing thing when you are there for 2 weeks!! We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back next summer! Thank you for your hospitality!

Highly Recommend

This was our second time staying at Peter and Jonathan excellent West Island home and we can’t wait to visit again. This place has it all! Great location by the beach, quiet, with an amazing ocean breeze at night. The house is super clean, well designed and decorated, and equipped with anything you could possibly need during your stay. Bring clothes and food and you’re all set. The only negative thing about this place is that you eventually have to leave. Looking forward to coming back.

Great Beach House in Fairhaven

We had such a wonderful time at this lovely beach house. It is a short distance to a beautiful sandy beach. From the house, there is a great ocean view across the street. The house was well-appointed and comfortable. We loved the modern decor. Fairhaven is a sweet town. Nice selection of restaurants. The area the beach house is in is so peaceful. We walked a lot: to the beach or through the conservation reserve. The hosts were very responsive. Thanks again for a great stay.

Fabulous Fairhaven

We had such a wonderful time at Peter and Jonathan's beautiful cottage. The space is beautifully appointed, and the layout is spacios and perfect for two couples. We loved walking to the nearby beaches for a swim, then coming back to read and cook in the well-stocked kitchen. The ice cream maker was a great touch!

West Island summer vacation!!

It was a lovely cottage across the street from the water. Beach pass to private beach was provided and much appreciated. Kitchen had everything and more. Especially appreciated milk, bread and eggs to start the morning. All in all, a wonderful experience. Thanks
