Rodeado de vistas al océano, valle y montaña; La Casita en Mar Mirada está ubicada en el centro de las mejores olas de surf en el norte de la península de Nicoya. Un día increíble de surf, esnórquel, sol y relajación se encuentra a poca distancia en auto.

Su casita privada ha sido remodelada de arriba a abajo y es completamente llave en mano. Una cocina totalmente equipada espera para inspirar a su chef interno, con todo lo que necesita para cocinar una deliciosa comida.

El colchón Simmons Recharge y las sábanas de algodón egipcio de 700 hilos harán que dormir sea un placer y el baño tiene un maravilloso cabezal de ducha tipo lluvia, exuberantes toallas y artículos de tocador, por lo que será fácil prepararse para comenzar el día o salir de noche.

Después de un largo y divertido día en la playa o una excursión de aventura, su ducha al aire libre es una manera fácil de limpiar y refrescarse rápidamente.

Disfrute del amanecer y una taza de café en su palapa privada, donde verá y escuchará una variedad de vida salvaje local. Los monos aulladores, las ardillas variadas, los loros verdes y las iguanas son visitantes frecuentes de la propiedad.

Perfect Getaway

Leslie and Dave are AWESOME! They are very friendly and when we ran into an unfortunate even they were super helpful and comforting. The property is great, it is out of the hustle and bustle of the city but only a very short drive allowing us to fully enjoy the peace but also get to fun quickly and easily. It was an awesome trip and the property and the hosts where great, the pool is very nice and has amazing views.

Million dollar Panoramic view’s! Nicely nestled in the jungle.

The grounds were absolutely pristine. The pool was absolutely amazing. And the wildlife was a plus. Monkeys, parrots, horses, chameleons..etc~ The Casita wasn’t picture perfect. Some of the amenities that you see in the pictures were not provided. And it was very disappointing that I had to clean the casita , There were cobwebs, mold in the shower. Not enough towels. And no shampoo or soap. As advertised. And not disinfected very well. We also had an invasion of ants in the kitchen and in the cabinets. It looked like it wasn’t tended to before our arrival…

Absolute Paradise

This casita was perfect for my wife and I to spend our anniversary trip at. The views from the pool were unmatched and it was just a short drive from the beach!

Exactly what we wanted!

Super quiet, away from the city, beautiful swimming pool and covered pool patio in addition to our little casita, all was awesome. Enjoyed breakfast on the casita patio every morning and relaxed in the hammock too! The views of the ocean and the surrounding jungle greenery along with spectacular sunset views were exactly what we wanted! Bed was super comfortable, we slept like happy babies. We would heartily recommend to anyone looking for this type of solitude.

Beautiful casita!

We had an amazing stay! The casita was so cute and had everything we needed, including a bottle of wine and delicious coffee! The pool area was absolutely beautiful, and the property itself was fantastic. In addition to the great views, we could hear howler monkeys, birds, and frogs, which really added to the other experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular!!!

I'll say it again....Spectacular! The breathtaking view all the way to the ocean (incredible sunsets), the super clean and very comfortable Casita, the beautiful pool, and the wonderfully kind and helpful owners. What a gem of a location. Wonderful peace and tranquility yet the beauty of being just a short 15-25 minute drive to Playa Tamarindo, Conchal, Flamingo,Langosta, and Grande (please ... spend a 1/2 day at the black sand beaches near Playa Grande) The pool, the guest house, the outdoor and indoor shower, and most importantly the owners.... Dave & Leslie were over- the - top with regard to their hospitality & congeniality------ Honestly... why would anyone stay anywhere else if visiting the Tamarindo area----- we WILL be back!

A rocky experience

Leslie and David are really very nice, kind, helpful people. The drive up to their place is very steep and rocky and a 4 wheel drive is definitely required. The palapa by the swimming pool has a million dollar view with a 360 degree landscape visual. Howlers, lizards, many different variety of birds and butterflies visited often with excellent photographic opportunities. Unfortunately for us the pool, which was sparkling at the beginning of our vacation and which we loved, turned green three days towards the end of our stay and never righted itself. In fact it worsened each day, so we were out of luck there. The owners were apologetic but it did upset our vacation a little as it had become a favourite part of our day to come back to the pool. David gave us a beautiful picture frame which he had made himself at the end of our stay.

Perfect place for a getaway!!

My fiance and I stayed at Leslie and David's casita for 3 nights while we were in the Tamarindo area and it was PERFECT! Their hospitality and generousity made it even better. Their casita is located in a private road with stunning views by the pool and palapa. We loved spending time by the pool enjoying the sun and Leslie made us some delicious desserts!! This place definitely deserves 5 stars! Probably one of the best places my fiance and I have stayed at! It was a great experience to stay in a place surrounded by nature, we even heard howler monkeys a of couple times. Cant reccomend Leslie and David's place enough!!:) THANK YOU! PURA VIDA.

One in a million!

Don't miss your chance at staying at this paradise! Leslie and David were amazing hosts and even set up private surfing lessons for us. They hospitality and consideration are wonderful and they really have thought of everything to make you feel at home in their guest house. The drive up can be a bit scary if you don't have a solid car, but the view is worth it! Thank you again for sharing this paradise with us!

Loved our “Casita”

Wonderful honeymoon and birthday experience!

We could not have asked for a more wonderful honeymoon. Leslie and David are the most wonderful people and hosts. The "casita" was exactly as described and more!!! The sunset appetizers were a true treat. The pool is wonderful and so relaxing. This was truly a wonderful place to stay.

Perfect!

What can I say, Perfect! Leslie and David were the perfect Hostess and Host. We arrived in the dark from Liberia and got lost, couldn't read the signs. Eventually, called Leslie and she met us at a Hotel, what a relief! The Casita/Cabina was perfect, very private, comfortable bed, all the cooking necessities, outdoor shower, Netflix, darling decor but most of all the salt water pool with amazing views! We really felt like we were on Holiday! Away from the hustle and bustle of the great city of Tamarindo but not to far away! It was my 60th Birthday and Leslie made me a gluten free carrot cake and David made me a beautiful frame. That I will treasure.as a reminder of a very special Birthday! Thank you very much! What a perfect place to get engaged! I definitely recommend this place! I really hope to be back someday! Thanks again Leslie and David! Pura Vida!!!

Great Stay

We spent the time at Leslie and David's casita enjoying the pool. They were more than gracious, hosting two happy hours and giving us pointers for us to further enjoy our stay. A great stay!

Perfect balance of city and nature

Leslie and David were amazing host. I’ve stood at many vacation rentals and by far this has to be my favorite spot. Not only because of the beauty of the home but because of the beautiful, loving, caring energy of the owner. The Casita is the perfect balance of city and tranquility. It’s close enough to all the restaurants and downtown bars but not in the middle of it all. Love the fact that we were able to have quiet time to enjoy nature and the beautiful sunsets. The pool and the outdoor seating area have to be my favorite feature of this paradise. David and Leslie have done an amazing job with their home. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Best Views!!

We loved our stay at Leslie and David guest house. It has everything you need while traveling - home away from home. Close location to beaches, short drive in any direction. You have to see it- magnificent views from this property, words can not describe. With full kitchen we were able to cook our own breakfast and dinners and enjoy it with the best views in town. Fantastic Private Casita!!!

Leslie and David are such magnificent hosts! We loved the Casita, all the wildlife, being serenaded each morning under the palapa by all the birds while we had our morning tea and coffee... so many wonderful memories. So much to do in this country and Guanacaste is the perfect area to stay. Don’t miss Toronto Volcano or Monteverde. Also, each of the beaches is a bit different and you owe it to yourself to try them all. Tell Koolah, Lani (dogs) and Fred and Sue (frogs) we said “Hi”!!! We’re going to miss this place and you guys!

Such an amazing place, such a incredible hosts!!

My couple and I spent just 3 nights at this incredible house that was full equipped, even beyond our expectations because I had everything even some food and drinks. The cabin is very quiet and all the equipment is modern within perfect conditions. The pool is very clean and is not front the cabin but you just have to walk some meters to reach it. The view is AMAZING, you can see Tamarindo's beach and all around. Leslie and her husband are incredible hosts, from the first moment we arrived they showed to us very friendly like we were with family, also Leslie prepared us an awesome and delicious lemon pie, and if it wouldn't be just perfect, once we were leaving they gave us a frame done with wood from the place, honestly it has been the best treatment I've ever received since all places I've stayed!!!! Also they have a couple of dogs that are very friendly and quiet. This place is totally recommended if you want to have an excellent experience within Guanacaste. My couple and I we definitely will come back :) Just a little detail, make sure you will take a SUV car or so, because the road is not very recommended for a sedan.

Slightly remote yet beautful

After the initial "shock" of the slightly tough terrain to get to the beautiful casita, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Having the owners onsite was very nice - they provided guidance yet allowed us privacy at the same time. We enjoyed a gift upon departure after spending our last evening sharing a meal with Leslie and David. Yet a little removed from activities, the drive to areas with more activities was never to far - time could be sent relaxing onsite (the pool area is amazing) or venturing out to nearby towns to enjoy beaches, restaurants, shopping etc ... The casita itself was beautiful and very well equipped ... Thank you for a wonderful "initiation"/transition to our Costa Rican vacation.

Clean. Comfortable. David and Leslie were very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our vacation and will be back to stay at their home again! It has beautiful views! You can watch the sunset poolside! Easy to get to beaches or towns. Just a perfect location for fun or relaxation! We cannot wait to visit again! Pictures do not do the views justice!!

fantastically beautiful

This is the best house we have ever rented in Latin America. We spent 2 wonderful weeks in the cottage of Leslie and David. The cottage is very lovingly decorated and is even more beautiful than the pictures on the Internet. The kitchen has a very good equipment .... it is even an electric. Blender for juices available. The landlords are good people and are always there for you ... we keep you in a very good memory. The pool and the adjoining terrace overlooking the entire Playa Grande is really amazing and you can see every evening how the setting sun touches the Pacific ... Breathtakingly beautiful ... we could hear iguanas, birds, Gekos and even each one from the terrace Watching an armadillo at around 8 pm while eating ... The property is situated on a hill and a 4x4 car is required ... we would like to come back. Best regards Priscilla & Sylvio from Germany

Leslie and David have a beautiful guest house with all the amenities we needed..including beach towels and umbrella...they were excellent host and leslie makes a great pina colada and guacamole...we would recommend to anyone looking for quite and privacy...

Jamie and I fell in love with Mar Mirada for it's amazing 280° poolside views of Tamarindo Bay. Located high on a hill, we have some incredible mountain and valley views too.
Amazing sunsets and sunrises over the Pacific Ocean.
