Beautiful Villa and Pool

We so enjoyed our week in Iva's lovely villa. It was the most well equipped property we have ever stayed in and the pool and garden were pristine and much larger than in the photos. We had a lovely day in Dubrovnik and also went to Mostar in Bosnia to see the reconstructed bridge, it was a fascinating visit. Podgora itself has something for everyone and it was just a short flight of steps to the restaurants and bars. We saw the most beautiful sunsets every evening too- a perfect stay!!

Fabulous house in Podgora

Wow! We just got back from an amazing week in this beautiful house. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. Firstly the house. It is very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering break. We rarely ventured out as it was so relaxing swimming in the pool, reading on the terrace and BBQing outside. Inside is cool and quiet, with modern decor and comfortable beds. My boys adored the pool; their swimming and diving really developed over the week and we all spent hours in there! Having the sail over for shade is a great idea. When we did get out, the walk down to Podgora beach was easy, down some steps. The beach is perfect for snorkelling and we had fun on the inflatables and being towed around the bay on a Crazy Shark! The scenery is spectacular; huge mountains behind dropping away into the sea. Podgora was bustling with lots of things going on. We had two lovely meals at Roccos and enjoyed refreshing drinks at the numerous bars and cafes along the promenade. We also enjoyed watching the water polo match in the harbour. We had a day trip to Dubrovnik, which was a long drive but worth it. We will definitely return as there is so much to see along the coast, plenty of boat trips available to the islands, or simply to soak up the sun, relax and enjoy the wonderful hospitality of Croatia and the idyllic accomodation of the Old Olive!

Super zentral gelegenes Objekt, in 5 Minuten alles per Fuß erreichbar (Strand, Restaurant, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Hafen…)Leider waren bei Aufenthalt viele Sachen defekt, Einfahrtstor, Treppe im Pool hatte ein Riß, Jakuzzi ging nicht. Leider waren nur 3 Liegestühle vorhanden, Geschirr war genau abgezählt, Abfluss roch nachts im Bad extrem. Weitwinkelkamera in der Anzeige lässt grüßen. Unterm Strich ok, aber nicht für das Geld.

Ich weiss nicht uber welches Haus Sie hier reden. Wir haben Geschirr fur mindestens 20 Leute im Haus fur 4 1. wir haben drei Komplette fur 6 Leute. Es kann sein das Rotweinglaser fehlen- weil die brechen leicht, es waren uber 10 St am Anfang der Saison. Die Einfahrtstor funktioniert perfect- nirgendwo steht das Sie Fernbedienung haben müssen, Die Fernbedienung wurde uns mehr Mals von Gasten mitgenommen und nie zurückgeschickt deswegen geben wir die nicht mehr den Gasten. Wir haben 4 Liegestūhle bei Pool und 3 in Reserve -Sie sollten nur fragen unser Hausmeister ist im Haus fast jeden Tag. Von Geruch hören wir zum ersten mal und wir vermieten das Haus 10 Jahren. Die ganze Stadt riecht bei niedrigen Luftdruck (Súdwind)

Tolles Haus und Super Gastgeberin.

Sehr gut . Nur keine Kaffeefiltermaschine vorhanden. Haben uns eine gekauft. Stühle waren defekt. Wurden umgehend ausgetauscht. Elektoschalter für die Markiese müsste erneuert werden . Gastgeberin hat sich sofort immer um alles gekümmert. Sonst top.

Gepflegtes Haus mit Pool und Meerblick

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist gepflegt und hat alles, was man braucht. Über einen Fußweg mit Treppen ist man in 5 Minuten an der Promenade und am Strand von Podgora. Im Juni war es noch recht ruhig. Uns hat es super gefallen, wahrscheinlich kommen wir wieder.

Great position for walking to town

A little upset in that the photos of the en-suite bathroom were not quite what they seemed. Very very tight and smell coming from the drains. Coffee machine didn’t work, villa felt like it wasn’t really ready for guests. Tiny pool towels, only 2 chair covers for pool chairs, pool edge was green. The outside shower didn’t work, grass wasn’t cut. There was a dead rat in the garden and cats outside crying night and morning. As I’ve mentioned just felt like it wasn’t really ready for guests. Plus note that air conditioning was great, the outside table was great for sitting under and washing machine was good. Private parking was a bonus too

Perfect location in a lovely resort

We really enjoyed our stay in Podgora. The Villa has excellent outside space with a great terrace and the best pool we’ve ever had! The pool got the sun all day and was a lovely temperature. We had fun with the tide machine. There are stunning views of the sea and the mountains, plus ripe figs from the fig tree. We counted 119 steps down to the front, popping out next to Roka restaurant (very good and beautiful to eat right next to the sea). You can go right to the very pretty marina, and further round to Plisivac beach (our favourite, get there early for good spots under the pine trees, and try Bistro Luce for lunch). Going left takes you to the main beach where you have inflatables, parasailing etc. But still with a very relaxed quiet vibe. Lots of places to eat (we thought the food in 2 Monkeys was the best), including pancakes and every ice cream flavour. There were hardly any other Brits which personally we enjoyed! The weather was mixed, we had a bit of rain most days, and a few thunderstorms, presumably due to the proximity to the mountains. In between it was pretty scorching so we didn’t actually mind a bit of respite. And it does mean it is very green. We didn’t enjoy Makarska which we found to be quite down market compared to Podgora, and extremely chaotic in the evenings with constant busy traffic along the main tourist streets. We visited for the supermarket and found Plodine to be the best. We would definitely return to Podgora, which we loved, and we don’t think you’ll find another Villa with such a great private pool so close to the beaches and restaurants.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in dieser tollen Villa von Anfang an genossen. Die Kommunikation mit Iva war schon vor der Reise total angenehm. Sie hat uns die Anfahrt erklärt und hat auf Nachfragen sofort reagiert. Die Villa liegt oberhalb von dem schönen Ort Podgora, der für uns perfekt war. Es gibt einige gute Restaurants und Bars, Supermärkte, usw. Der Strand in Podgora selbst ist auch schön, rundherum sind aber auch einige sehenswerte Strände. Am Strand gibt es viele Aktivitäten: Parasailing, Wasserhüpfburgen für Kinder, Standup Paddling und vieles mehr. Nur 10 Autominuten entfernt ist Makarska mit vielen großen Supermärkten und einer sehr schönen Altstadt, in der man abends auch sehr gut essen gehen kann. Das Haus war total sauber, hat zwei Badezimmer, zwei liebevoll eingerichtete Schlafzimmer und eine Küche, in der einfach alles vorhanden ist. Die Geräte sind hochwertig. Vor allem der Kühlschrank mit Wasser und Eiswürfelfunktion wurde von uns an den heißen Sommertagen dankbar genutzt. Auch die Außenanlagen mit dem großen Pool (mit Gegenstromananlage) und riesiger Terasse, alten Olivenbäumen, Limettenbäumen, usw. laden zum Wohlfühlen ein. Auch der ganze Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Haus wurde nach einer Woche komplett gereinigt, neue Bettwäsche wurde aufgezogen, vorher gab es neue Handtücher und Pooltücher. Auch die Poolfilter wurden gereinigt. Das Hausmeisterehepaar, das vor Ort diese Aufgaben übernimmt, war total nett. Wir haben uns einfach nur wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt noch einmal wieder kommen. Vielen Dank an Iva für unseren perfekten Urlaub!

Skøn efterårsferie i Podgora: Old villa olive

Vi havde en rigtig dejlig efterårsferie i Ivas skønne feriehus, hvor der er smuk udsigt til bjerge og ned over by til havet. Der blev brugt mange timer i den skønne og opvarmede pool. Vi håber at få mulighed for at komme tilbage.

Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolles Haus und Terrasse, großer Pool, top Lage. Selten so ein sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus vorgefunden. Abends haben wir gerne die milden Abende auf der Terrasse inklusive atemberaubender Sonnenuntergänge ausklingen lassen. Tagsüber genossen wir den weiten Meerblick und die in Podgora Beach und Podgora Marina angebotenen sportlichen Aktivitäten ( , uvm.). Es sind mehrere kleine Supermärkte, Restaurants und Bars in der näheren Umgebung fussläufig zu erreichen.Der Kontakt zu Iva lief entspannt per WhatsApp. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit!

Tolle Villa mit Pool

Wir hatten einen super Urlaub in dieser schönen Villa mit Pool und Meerblick. Die Kommunikation mit Iva lief entspannt über whatsapp. Ein Reisebett und Kinderhochstuhl für unsere Tochter wurden gestellt und befanden sich in einem einwandfreien Zustand. Der Weg zum Meer ist sowohl zu Fuß über die Treppen oder mit dem Buggy entlang der Straße schnell gemacht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Urlaub in Podgora.

Fantastisk hus

Vi har holdt 6 dages ferie med vores 2 børn i dette hus og vi elskede stort set alt ved det. Højdepunkterne for os var specielt den fantastiske havudsigt og beliggenheden og den store pool (poolen er meget større end på billederne). Det er helt sikkert ikke sidste gang vi var der.

Road noise was more than we expected, but in every other way it was perfect

Grwat location, super villa, good sized pool. Near to the road, but a good compromise if ypu want to be walking distance from the beach and restaurants. Owners were very kind and helpful. Split airport is 90 minutes away

Alles in Allem war das ein gelungener Urlaub in der Villa Old Olive! Das Haus ist sauber und ordentlich. Der Pool und die Terrasse ein Traum! Iva ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Wir haben sie zwar nicht persönlich kennengelernt, aber sie stand immer zur Verfügung per Whats-App oder Telefon. Wir kommen auf jedem Fall wieder!

a home from home!

This is a nice, well equipped modern villa. It is well suited for couples or pairs of couples. Two nice size double bedrooms one with on suite. It is located at the top of hill (approx 118 steps) which may prove difficult for less mobile people. There is off street parking and the local beachfront cafes and restaurants are accessible if you need to use a car with parking at 10 Kunas per hour. (About £1) We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

To make sure this house is perfect for your vacation we made sure the villa is fully equipped as any perfect home would be. The 2-bedroom villa features private parking, a rooftop patio, a heated lit-up pool, a washing machine, and a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave, an outdoor grill and a sink, a big garden surrounding the house, and much more. From the villa you will need less than 3 minutes of walking to get to the nearest beach, a shop, a bar or a restaurant. Every window is protected with a mosquito-net but if you prefer to keep the inside of the house cool there are two air conditioners inside. Inside every bedroom, there is a double or triple door closet so you wouldn't have to worry about messy bedrooms filled with clothes.
