Perfection! The house is well-appointed and the property is idyllic. It’s a beautiful drive into town for groceries. The host was responsive and super kind. Loved that it was dog-friendly. The only note is the downstairs suite was tough to cool (August) and stayed quite warm. We had an amazing time, thanks for sharing your home! Will definitely be back.

Wonderful Mountainside Stay

Stayed here with the family and friends & family for a great New Years Eve weekend filled with skiing, hiking, and the hot tub! I cannot recommend this place enough and looking forward to staying here again in the future, maybe in the warmer months when the pool opens up!

Beautiful well appointed home. Great for large groups. The kitchen is well stocked with everything to cook and serve meals. The beds were comfortable. Gorgeous views and the hot tub on a chilly November night was amazing.

Stylish country retreat

We had a fantastic stay -- beautiful views, spacios accommodations, all ameneties needed. The design of the property is very well thought out, in particular in the way it is decorated. The host, Esther is extremely responsive and cares about her guests having a positive experience.

Couldn't Have Been Better

A group of 10 of us stayed at Esther's place for a long weekend and our experience couldn't have been better. The property is as described and was the perfect fit for a getaway for the weekend. The property was spotless, there were towels and linens for everyone, the check-in process was simple, and the hot tub was even set to the perfect temperature in anticipation of our arrival. We would definitely stay at this property again and have already talked about another visit in the summer. The fact that it is dog friendly as well was the cherry on top!

Wow!!

Highly recommended! Everything was quite spectacular! The views were breathtaking the house was so beautiful, well decorated and equipped with everything you can possibly need! The hostess Esther was wonderful! Quick to respond and there to make our stay so comfortable and relaxing! The pool was incredible, the hot tub was awesome, everything was literally perfect. It was our dream vacation and we are definitely coming back!

Amazing Catskills Vacation

The property is stunning! The house is gorgeous and exactly as pictured. There was plenty of room for 7 adults and our dogs. We really appreciate pet friendly properties. The pool is the icing on the cake! We had a great time on a trail ride with Broken Spokes Stables and antiquing at Rick’s Barn. We also did the Rail Explorers-Catskills. Would love to go back during the fall. Highly recommend! Esther is a pleasure and very responsive and knowledgeable.

Great Location/View but Overpriced

Beautiful View, but way overpriced for quality of place. Campy cottage. Noisy Wall unit AC's. Pool had leak. Basement was musty weird smelling. Luckily we didn't have to put anyone in that bedroom.

Amazing View and Amenities

The styling of this property is top notch, the view is incredible, its private and has anything you could need while staying. The house was clean and tidy we just found that the property could use some TLC to have gotten the 5 stars, especially at this price bracket (lots of light bulbs out (which the property manager offered to replace - just would have been nice if they were in working order for the stay, a piece of timber cladding fell off while opening the door, hot tub needs some love, we had to rewash the dished and silverware to be able to use them and lots of little things like that. It would not keep us from staying again though.

Amazing View

We spent almost all of our time on the wonderful deck, from breakfast gazing at the mountains to nights in the hot tub under the stars. Cautions: The house has a strong smell of fuel oil, several areas with tangles of cords in walkways, light switches that don't operate anything, and screens that have come unattached from their frames. We dealt with the smell by keeping the doors and windows open to the fresh air; the cords by placing chairs over them to protect the children.

A good property with one issue

Overall this property is really nice, it's a great place to go and get away from everything. The deck is great, the pool is great, and the view of the stars at night can't be beat. The one issue we had was that it was a bit dirty when we got there. The plates and cups were put away in the dining room but a lot of them were so dirty we had to wash them before we could use them. The front door of the house had a bunch of toilet paper sitting on the ground next to it. The hot tub was nice but full of small rocks from previous guests. The bathrooms look nice in the pictures but when we got there 2 of the 3 had mildew in the showers. The grill was very dirty and there was no grill brush to clean it. This didn't ruin our stay, we had a great time, but for a property with a two hundred and eighty dollar cleaning fee, we expected it to be in much better shape when we got there.

Loved it this season, can't wait to see it in Summer too

WOW! What a view! We loved the location up on the mountain, the house with its big main room facing the back deck and that view, the deck, plenty of parking, the surrounding fields, the nearby small-but-not-too-small grocery store, and more. And our 18-month-old grandson loved all the toys for his age that we found in a closet upstairs. The kitchen looked a little small at first. But it couldn't have been that small because my wife managed to produce a big Thanksgiving dinner in it. Big fridge (with a spare in the basement) and nice big gas stove/oven. But my wife decided it would be more "fun" for us to cook the turkey on the grill out on the deck. Gotta admit -- out there looking at the mountains surrounding us in the distance while grilling, that had to be the nicest place we have or will ever grill. And thanks to a few cooking tips from the property manager, that turkey was DELICIOUS! We didn't end up using the bar/TV room or bedroom in the basement. But there was also a 3rd full bathroom and extra washer/dryer hooked up down there that all got plenty of use. Since we got almost a foot of snow while we were there, we didn't get to use the big pool or hot tub on the deck. So we hope to return next Summer to enjoy them too. Communication with the property manager Esther was absolutely outstanding.

Wonderful home for family time

Third year coming to beautiful home for family time together. House is lovely and very well appointed with everything you would need to be comfortable. Esther is fantastic - responsive, considerate and attentive to details. Location is beautiful with mountains all around and only the sounds of birds and coyotes.

Wonderful property

In a stunning location, this beautiful house made for a great weekend. The indoor and outdoor spaces are ample and very well maintained. The fireplace was very cozy. The hot tub was great. Beds and baths comfortable and clean. Perfect!

Misty Mountain Home

This Catskills house was everything we wanted and more. Every year we take a vacation to get away from it all, to be in nature and away from the crowds. This secluded retreat offered that privacy and beautiful views in abundance, while also being well appointed and comfortable. We went swimming in the heated pool daily. The water is saline so it doesn't sting the eyes nor give off a strong chlorine smell. The grounds were large and varied: cut lawn, garden, trees, path, wildflowers, and a pond surrounded by cattails. We loved taking our pup for walks in the morning mist around the pond and down the treed lane through the wildflowers. We played baseball on the lawn and made s'mores around the firepit. You could bird watch from the back deck, see a few deer running through the edge of the property, and hear the howls of packs of coyotes echo through the hills. The interior of the house was very comfortable and stylish. It looks just like the pictures. The sheets were SO soft and there were many different pillows to choose from to please flat or fluffy sleepers. There were many soft and absorbent towels, enough toilet paper and paper towels, salt, pepper, oil, etc.. It is so nice to rent a place and have all these basics covered. The house has a small library with books and games, good internet, and a tv with access to streaming services if you want to watch movies as a family. Everything was easy and comfortable. The house was a good base for hiking, visiting all the bookstores in Hobart, and exploring the region. The highlight was the heated pool, the views to nature, and privacy. 5 stars!

Lovely, lovely property and home. The best were the views, the seclusion, and the very clean hot tub & pool. Easy communication with the owner, straightforward check in & out. Great experience.

Family getaway

Wonderful family time together!! Heated pool was big hit with everyone. Bedrooms were big enough to handle our crew. Kitchen counters a little cramped to cook for group. House was updated and clean. Downstairs bedroom a little musty smelling. Would consider renting again

Incredible Views!

This house is awesome. Really nice design, plenty of space and the back deck is incredible. The views of the mountains are stunning. It also has a great fire pit area and salt water heated pool. Property manager was super easy to communicate with as well. Highly recommend!
