Este es un apartamento de concepto abierto recientemente renovado en el segundo piso con 2 dormitorios, un baño. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama king size, el segundo dormitorio tiene dos camas dobles. Hay un sofá cama en la sala de estar para huéspedes adicionales. Los electrodomésticos de la cocina son todos NUEVOS. Esto es limpio y bellamente decorado en temas náuticos. Tiene acceso al garaje para estacionamiento, y una lavadora y secadora en el primer piso fuera del garaje. El apartamento está cerca de todo lo que desee hacer: tiendas, excelentes restaurantes, caminatas, ciclismo, visitas turísticas, playas, el aeropuerto de Bar Harbor (BHB) y el Parque Nacional Acadia, santuario de aves, cerca de la playa Lamoine.

We so appreciated James and his in person greeting as we arrived and his great recommendations for places to eat and to visit in area and in Acadia. Very clean, cozy and comfortable apartment! Kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. King bed was very comfortable. A wonderful place to call home away from home!

Couldn't have been better. Everything was very clean and we had more than what we needed. We slept great. James, our host, was very attentive and gave us great advice on where to park, eat, and even where to see the best sunset. (And it was beautiful!). There were even snack bars, apples, tangerines, condiments, and other food stuff for our use if we wanted it. Definitely A-1!

We had a great stay. The place was very clean and cozy. Many of the main items needed were supplied. James the owner was vey nice and welcomed us upon our arrival just to introduce himself and let us know he is available if we needed anything. He also provided us with places to eat and visit. If you want to get some souvenirs, the best place to do this is at Bar Harbor. If we ever come back to main, we will definitely stay here.

Perfect Acadia Area Spot

We hiked Acadia, traveled to Quoddy Lighthouse, Lubic and to Nubble lighthouse. This was such a retreat to come back to in the evenings.James provides extra touches that truly make you feel like his personal guest.

Great Maine Vacation

My wife and I, from Atlanta, stayed 3 nights here prior to going back to Portland for 2 more nights. We had a wonderful experience from check in all the way thru check out. The property has everything you could want, and more. James was a great host. He helped us bring our luggage up the stairs and recommended plenty of attractions and nearby restaurants. We loved how close this was to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The quiet street this apartment is located off of was great. We had some rainy weather during the first part of our stay and James even offered to let us stay another night on him. We had plans back in Portland so we could not take him up on the offer. We were surprised and very gracious for such a kind offer. Next time we are back in the area, we will stay here again. It is large enough to sleep even more. Perfect place to stay with a perfect host. Thanks, James!

Short Acadia Get Away

My husband and I took our kids to Acadia to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. We had a great trip overall, here are our pros and cons. Pros: Our host was very responsive to any messages I sent him. He kindly made sure the apartment was open for us when we arrived late on our first night. He also recommended Ana amazing pizza place for dinner (Pat’s Pizza- definitely give it a try). The unit is very convenient to Acadia National Park, which is what we were looking for. Cons There were large black flies flying around the kitchen and living room. The dishes were dirty and needed to be washed before the first use. The bathroom was old. The master bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We didn’t spend much time in the apartment, and it was worth it for the location, but I would look for a different place in the future.

Freundliche, familiäre, gemütliche Ferienwohnung am Südrand von Ellsworth, trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Walmart, Hannaford) in wenigen Minuten mit Auto erreichbar. Bis zum Acadia NP etwa 15 Minuten. Wohnung ist mit allem (außer Spülmaschine) ausgestattet, Waschmöglichkeit im Erdgeschoß (Garage). Trotz herbstlicher Kühle am Abend haben wir den Gasgrill gerne und viel genutzt. James ist ein überaus freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber.

We loved this place! Great location, comfortable and clean apartment. James was a lovely host. He welcomed us and gave great recommendations for things to do nearby. He even made us some delicious cookies. We hope to visit again soon and would definitely stay here again!

James is an excellent host. My husband and I recommend this stay. Very clean. Full size kitchen is like home++. The upstairs 2-bedroom apartment is comfortable and quiet. Thick towels. Beds and pillows excellent. Water pressure in shower and washer/dryer downstairs in the garage -- both great. James will offer quarters for the washer/dryer if you forget to bring. The location is not far from Acadia National Park and the Quietside of Mount Desert. A terrific home base from which to explore Acadia National Park and the Quietside of Mount Desert. Also not far from the Schoodic area, the Charlotte Rhoades Butterfly Garden, Somesville, Blue Hill (check out the Blue Hill Co-op), Deer Island, Bass Harbor, Stoneville, and more. We bought fresh fish in season from the local grocery store on James' specific recommendation and saved. Taking advantage of the gas grill provided. Ellsworth has much to offer, too -- Union River Lobster Pot restaurant (where we saw a Bald Eagle), Lamoine Beach, Woodlawn historic site. Bottomline is, why stay in an overpriced hotel when you can have the convenience of home?

Great location and great host!

We loved the location of this place. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, within 1/2 hour. We also went to Orono and Bangor and that was within an hour drive. James,the host, was very attentive to every detail to make our stay enjoyable and he has great recommendations too!

Fabulous stay in Ellsworth, ME

There are not enough stars to be able to give this VRBO a proper rating - it was one of, if not the best, vacation rental experience we've ever had! 1. James is a spectacular host! Every communication received a quick response, and any concern or question was addressed right away. He was so warm and friendly. He greeted us upon our arrival, helped us bring our bags in, and showed us around. He checked on us during our stay to make sure all was good. He even gave us a homemade wild blueberry pie, farm fresh eggs, and fresh wild blueberries! We really enjoyed chatting with and getting to know him a bit during our stay. By the time we left, we felt like family! 2. The apartment is spotlessly clean and is very nicely decorated - it really gave us the feeling of being on vacation in Maine. The bedrooms were a good size, and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. It was perfect for my husband and myself as well as our two teens. The bathroom was similarly well equipped, with plenty of towels and toiletries. 3. The eat-in kitchen is fantastic too! Besides the pie and eggs, James had stocked the fridge, freezer, and cabinets with other staples and condiments. There is an entire complement of spices, pots, pans, wraps, oils, etc. - we really felt right at home, and it made our stay even more enjoyable and comfortable. 4. The location is convenient for trips to Acadia and elsewhere in the area, and there are supermarkets and good restaurants nearby. Our highest recommendation!
