We had a great stay! Clean, spacious, well-stocked house with great views. Like many visitors to the area we were there to hike Mt. Whitney and the location was perfect, about 20 minutes to the trailhead. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Our host was very accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. The property was easy to find, with amazing views. It was our perfect homebase during our Death Valley national Park visit.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Host was available as needed. We loved the big kitchen, windows out onto to mountains and comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood, easy drive to town and sightseeing. The dishwasher and garbage disposal were not working correctly and the house could use a good, deep clean but otherwise met all our needs and then some. Would stay again

Loved the clean, open design of the house. I would suggest that the back stairway to the driveway be replaced with a more stable and permanent stairway. A great place and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect place to stay if hiking Mt Whitney

We won the permit lottery for hiking Mt Whitney, and this house provided a very convenient, clean, and spacious place to stay before and after our long hike. We had a wonderful stay at this house. (And we made it to the top of Mt Whitney too!)

Great Whitney Weekend Spot

We summited Whitney Sat and used this home Fri and Sat night as a prep and recovery zone. Everything was great and I would recommend to others. The ping pong room is really fun!

It was a fabulous place. It’s much bigger than it looks like in the pictures. It was very clean & had all the essentials & more. Jill was an excellent host & was always a phone call away. It has a beautiful kitchen that opens up to a huge living room. And out the back door opens up to a huge deck with the occasional rabbit hopping by. The air conditioning worked great. The place was just perfect & would love to stay there again.

Beautiful house in a beautiful environment at the foothills of Mt Witney in the Alabama Hills. Comfortable, clean, casual and inviting home. Instructions were simple and easy to follow. We had such an exciting time stargazing, hiking and exploring the area. It was wonderful to come back to a "home base" to rest. Thank you for memories we will be talking about forever.

Beautiful home, amazing location!

Four of us stayed at the house, and it was truly amazing. Bright, clean, and truly well-appointed with all the things you need to actually use the house (it even had an airfryer in the kitchen!). Great comfortable beds and actual warm blankets for winter. Ultimately it was even better than the pictures suggest! Super location--easy access to get into town and all the beautiful natural spaces Lone Pine has to offer. Only issue was the heat was very low on arrival and temps had dropped, so needed a few house to get truly comfortable, but it resolved without issue. The host had good, quick communication. I can't wait to revisit this home next time in Lone Pine!

An amazing experience from start to finish. The location in the Alabama Hills of Lone Pine was absolutely perfect for us during Badwater 135 race week—peaceful and beautiful, with Mount Whitney in the background, yet only a short distance from town.Our host was incredible—friendly, accommodating, and genuinely available 24/7 if we needed anything. With temperatures over 100 degrees, the AC worked perfectly and kept the house cool and comfortable. The kitchen was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed for race preparation and meals. The entire property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained.We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for such an important week. Highly recommend, and we would absolutely stay here again!

We absolutely love this house! This is the fourth time I have stayed here (2022 (as a guest), 2024, 2025, and 2026) and we really look forward to it each year. The area is beautiful with sweeping views of the Sierra Nevada, Inyo Mountains, and Alabama Hills rock formations with lots of fun wildlife (bunnies, quail, lizards). We gladly trade being a little further from town (10 minutes) to be out in Alabama Hills. We also love the drive to the house either down Lubken Canyon (think Sound of Music views) or Tuttle Creek (a scenic drive through Alabama Hills). The house is on a nice quiet cul-de-sac and the area is great for walks. The house itself is always very clean and the bedrooms are great. The pictures are accurate and represent the house well. The primary bedroom is very large, with a nice sitting room that has views of the Inyo Mountains. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen basics (pots, pans, knives). The hosts are very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. We highly recommend this house for your visit to Lone Pine.
