This condo was perfect! It had all of the necessities for cooking, stocked toiletries in bathroom, beach chairs and cooler, tilting wall mount TV, and most importantly - a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach was just steps away! The location was conveniently located about halfway between the north and south beaches. Plus, food trucks were parked just feet away!We would recommend this condo for any couple visiting Maui!

Great for a short stay

We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed the unit, especially the location. It was clean and well supplied. The closeness to the ocean and the sound of the waves on the beach and the sea wall were a real pleasure. There's a nice little pool area as well. We'd stay here again!!

Very nice location, short walks to anything one would need including foodmart, restaurants, beach, and shopping. Location seemed safe and clean, including the room that was very clean and included the essentials for cooking. .will definitely stay here again. Thank you .

Stunning view

Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable. Within walking distance to grocery store, restaurants, and shopping. Cannot say enough about the ocean view. The binoculars were a nice surprise. We saw dolphins, turtles, beautiful sunsets. Washer and dryer on same floor. Extremely clean. We will definitely stay again.

Great stay

Property and communication with manager was great. View is fabulous, and even better is sleeping with waves sound! The only downside is the sleeping on the sofa. Mattress is too thin and every movement is followed by loud screeching.

So close to the ocean!

We loved the proximity of our room to the ocean! It really makes this room and Maui Kai standout from other Kaanapali locations. There's no fitness center, but we were delighted with how close and convenient the access to the North Kaanapali trail was. Perfect for a morning run and also accessing the entire beach which runs all the way down to Black Rock. There are also several locations along the trail for food and drinks.

It was okay

We thought the 10 o’clock checkout was a little bit unreasonable. The condo could use some fixes and it would feel a bit more welcoming if there was a little more spent on the little things…decent Kleenexes, a small welcome basket a few regular staples in the kitchen. We’ve stay a few other places in the same condo and felt more at home in those.

10 Day Family Vacation

We had a great stay in 206! The view cannot be beat and the beach access was wonderful. You could see whales, turtles, and dolphins just from the window! We saw a few reviews about the beds being uncomfortable so we bought 1.5” mattress pads for the 2 beds. Although we didn’t try the bed before the pads, we had wonderful night sleeps with them. For those who need silence in order to sleep, you will definitely need to shut the windows at night. But for us, the crashing waves were a beautiful sound. Lots of kitchen supplies, beach supplies, extra blankets, and storage. We would highly recommend this room.

Great Stay!

My husband and I loved our stay in this unit. It was the perfect accommodation for us and recently updated. Beautifully located on the waters edge, with two sandy beaches on either side of the building. The unit had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and easy. Note: this is NOT the condos responsibility to provide, but we took a chance that maybe oil, salt, pepper would have been left behind from a past stay. Sometimes you luck out with that. We stuck out (probably covid related?), so keep that in mind when you go food shopping :)) there are some food trucks located within walking distance, which are a nice option for a cheaper meal out. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home.

Nice stay

Rented this property for a delayed vacation to Hawaii. The rental company was very communicative both before and during the stay. The ability to text them during the stay was great. We arrived late on the first night and there were a ton of little black bugs flying around. I think they were attracted to the cleaning products and all the lights that were left on. The bugs decreased over our stay although they never completely disappeared which was a little disappointing. The location was nice. You can walk along the beach all the way down to black rock and then down to the other end of Ka’anapali beach. The beach is much quieter on the beach by the condo rather than down by the hotels. But still gives easy access to walk to restaurants, shopping, grocery store, etc. unit was nice and open, especially when you open the window and listen to the ocean! Plenty of parking in the lot as long as you register your car. Nice to have a full kitchen even if you plan on eating out most of the time. Would stay again.

Right on the ocean

This property is right on the ocean with a beautiful view through large picture windows. The windows can be slid open, leaving the screen closed or for an excellent, clear view, the screen can also be slid open. We enjoyed watching whales and listening to the waves. Nice beach just steps away. Beautiful sunsets. We would go back to this property.

Great locations, great sounds of ocean

We had a great stay in Kaanapali! I loved the unit's location and listening to the sound of the waves while I slept. The only cons were the mattress on the Murphy bed (it should be swapped out for a regular mattress) as it is pretty uncomfortable, and the unit needs some updating. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Loved the ocean front views and relaxed vibes

Overall we were very happy with our stay at Maui Kai 206. The weather was very beautiful. We slept listening to the waves crashing against the seawall. I think the second floor is perfect. I thought I would miss having a Lanai, but the open windows work just fine. Most days we were the only people at the pool and hot tub. We used the community grill a few times to cook. While there is no beach access directly in front of the building, it's just a short walk to beaches near by. There's a Times supermarket just a block over great for buying groceries and drinks and their prices aren't too bad! Hope we can come again soon!

Great condo! Right in the middle of everything. This is as close as you can get to the ocean, lovely view and loved listening to the waves at night. Would definately stay again!
