Histórico Jefferson French Townhouse

Bienvenido a la hermosa Jefferson French Townhouse. Ubicada en el distrito histórico del centro, la casa fue construida en 1860 por uno de los cofundadores de Jefferson, Daniel Alley. Las ventanas y puertas principales de la casa son originales y fueron importadas de Francia durante la era comercial de Nueva Orleans; la casa también cuenta con pisos de ciprés originales y techos de 14 pies. La casa es un marcador histórico de Texas y en el Registro Nacional de Lugares Históricos.

Somos nuevos en la plataforma HomeAway / VRBO, pero hemos estado alquilando a viajeros desde mayo de 2018 con una calificación de 5 estrellas en otros sitios de reserva.

PERFECT

This property was perfect!! I loved that this is a historic house, yet it felt modern (not creepy). Pics and descriptions were accurate and the location was so convenient for our travels betweeen Linden and Marshall. Our daughter was married at the beautiful white chapel on the campus at ETBU in Marshall and then a reception at the Fire & Knives Tavern in Linden. Most of my family (and now my daughter) live in Linden so I will definitely be booking a stay (or more) at this house in the future. Thank you for making me feel at home!

Historic Beauty

We loved this property! It was like stepping into the past with modern conveniences thrown in. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas in a nutcracker theme. The location was excellent - nestled in a quiet historic neighborhood, but so close to downtown as well. Highly recommend for couples, friends, and families.

We enjoyed our stay at the French townhouse while visiting friends for our annual reunion. The hosts are exception and their generous hospitality is felt throughout. Fun in Jefferson

We so enjoyed our stay - Mother - Daughter weekend of visiting museums, wandering around town, visiting coffee shops, great restaurants and of course a few antique shops - along with learning the ghostly history. We also visited one of the drive thru animal parks and had a great time there. And best of all, we enjoyed relaxing off and on and in the evenings at this lovely home. I highly recommend a visit to Jefferson and if you can manage to stay at this beautiful, historical home - I'm sure you will have a lovely time.

Girlfriends trip

Amazing property! We felt like is was really neat to stay in a house built in late 1800's. Accommodations we perfect. Everything very clean. Outdoor fire pit, outdoor grill and sitting area was nice. Fully furnished kitchen, plenty of linens and comfortable beds. We wil definite book at this location again.

Restauration mal faites, les planchers s'enfoncent a divers endroit. Propreté approximative. Nous sommes arrivés dans une maison froide, le chauffage n'avait pas été allumé pour notre arrivée Machine à laver et sèche linge dans un garage à l'extérieur de la maison où règne un capharnaüm sans nom et saletés... Took my sister-in-law to Jefferson for her first time to visit, we stayed in the French Townhome, and it was just awesome. The house was wonderful, the whole process was super simple and easy. Highly recommend.

Nice property, had issues

This was a lovely home though we had A/C issues. Upon arrival one unit was dripping in the living area, the floor was partially flooded. We took the area rug and chair outdoors to dry, mopped and put pans under the drip. The repair was made the next day. Prior to leaving on the 3rd day we replaced the items and cleaned up the area. We are disappointed the owner appreciated our help to minimize damage but was unwilling to compensate us in any way. Jefferson is a fun town.

Great weekend getaway!

This Townhouse is fantastic, it was very old & very charming. Communication with the owners was very good before & after. The house was clean & well stocked. We loved the location & proximity to downtown, as well as the Grocery store etc. We would certainly stay here again. Anniversary Trip

We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful historical home. It was a unique experience for us. The location was very convenient to the downtown stores, restaurants and activities in Jefferson. We rented a golf cart and rode all around town which made parking a breeze and the weather was very nice during our visit. Thanks for sharing your home!

Teachers girls trip

The house was big, roomie and beautiful. It was clean and so historic. We had a little problem with the stove(the range top was gas and the oven is electric) it was taken care of quickly. Other than that we had a wonderful time in Jefferson. We’ll definently be back.

Jefferson is our hometown. We've since moved away to different parts of the country, but always find ourselves back in this beautiful part of Texas to visit family and celebrate the holidays. As our own families continued to expand, my brother and I, along with our wives, decided that it was time to find a vacation home in Jefferson. We fell in love with the Townhouse, the history behind it, and the beautiful historic features and architecture. So, in January of 2018, we purchased the Townhouse and spent the next several months restoring much of the home back to its original charm, while also adding some modern touches and comforts of the 21st century. We also made the decision to open up the home to travelers while we are away, and share this unique piece of Jefferson history with all of you.
