Comfortable Riverfront Getaway in JeffersonSpent seven days at this fantastic house right on the river, and it was the perfect place to unwind. The setup inside the cabin was excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing week in the woods.While it ended up being a bit too hot during this trip to get out on the water and fish, the river views and peaceful setting more than made up for it. Popped into town, it’s a great little area with a warm, welcoming community where everyone made me feel right at home.I would definitely love to come back and stay again when the weather cools down a bit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet riverfront retreat!

The place was absolutely amazing and the host as well. We parked three trucks with boats. The only thing is the road in is a little rough considering your pulling a 75000 dollar boat over it for three miles. We would absolutely stay again and are planning on it next March

Four of us friends stayed here for several nights and had a wonderful, relaxing time. It was so relaxing we didn't leave the place other than for a boat tour. The home is great, clean and has everything you need! It is well-stocked and spacious. The biggest decision we had to make each day was which deck to sit on! We enjoyed watching the birds especially the pair of stunningly bright yellow Prothonotary warblers nesting in the birdhouse near the house which I watched out the bedroom window each morning. We the watched fish jump, birds soar overhead and kept eyes on the bayou for alligators. We were greeted by a deer meandering by on the shore across the bayou. The jetted tub was perfect for winding down each night.

Great stay if you are looking for a remote quiet trip

Perfect location for a quiet getaway. Loved the scenery of the bayou and surrounding areas. Wanted to take a quick camping trip to the woods to get away from the day to day stresses. Caddo Lake and the Jefferson area was exactly what we was looking for. Checked off all the boxes!!!

We're just a family of 6 that fell in love with the river and with Jefferson.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

There's so much to do at Old Cypress River House.
There's a boat launch less than a mile away and place at the cabin to tie up your boat.
End the night playing board games by the fireplace inside. Go on a river tour through the Cypress forest with Captain Ron's Swamp Tours and have a catfish dinner at Big Pines Lodge, or be brave and order the alligator!
You're 15 minutes from Caddo Lake in one direction, 10-15 minutes from Jefferson in the other and 30 minutes from Lake of the Pines where you can rent a boat at Bull Frog's.

Bedrooms
Bedroom 1 is huge! It has a King bed with an attached bathroom with a jet tub and a shower.
There is a 55" smart TV in this room.

Bedroom 2 is also huge! It has a King bed. The bath is not attached but is right next door and has a claw foot tub with a hand held shower.
There is a 55" smart TV in this room.

Bedroom 3 is a bit smaller and has bunk beds and an attached bath with a bathtub and shower combo.

Bedroom 4 is not really a bedroom. It is a loft with 2 twin beds.


Dining
There is dining space for 8: a small table for 4 and 4 counter stools at the bar.

Seating
There is a sectional that seats 6 comfortably. 4 dining chairs can be easily used
for extra seating.

WIFI
There is a 55" smart TV in the living room. There is Satellite WIFI available. Hulu, Disney and Netflix can be signed into on all TVs. Remember, what you are trying to do is "get away from it all;" but because we are off the beaten path the satellite internet signal can be spotty at times. Internet gaming on the WIFI is not available since it is Satellite WIFI and there is a delay.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

You're out/away from it all, but can run into town for dinner in less than 15 minutes. Jefferson is a great place to explore all of the shops and all of the history. You also have Caddo Lake 15 minutes away and Lake of the Pines 30 minutes away.
