Beautiful Weekend

Our stay for the Stroll was perfect. The cottage was clean, nicely decorated, and quiet. We would absolutely stay here again!

Spring Vacation

My husband and I stayed at the cottage this May and found it very clean, comfortable, and equipped with all essentials. It was very easy to cook meals using both the grill and well-stocked kitchen. We also went to the beach multiple times and were very happy beach chairs and towels were provided so we didn't have to bring them over. Tom Nevers is our favorite location on the island and we look forward to staying again.

The Cottage

Terrific Stay at Fingilly Cottage

My family recently returned from a 3 week stay at this property and had an incredible time. It is a perfect size for a small family and well stocked with essentials. It is in a quiet spot with plenty of privacy at the end of the driveway and an easy drive to Town or Sconset. Some of the furniture and appliances have been updated since the pictures on the VRBO listing - there is a nice large sectional and big TV that we enjoyed for family movie nights. We would not hesitate to stay here again - a great property with a great host!

Sweet Sanctuary

The property was very peaceful and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a blender that was great for smoothies. There were chairs and towels for the beach, which was really nice. The owners were responsive when we needed an item but otherwise, we had privacy. Thank you so much! It was much needed time with family!

Lovely property

Five of our family enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving weekend at this quiet, convenient, and well-maintained property in Tom Nevers. It was just what we needed in our time away. We were also pleasantly surprised at some nice cookware in the kitchen! We made our Thanksgiving dinner here, and although I'd planned and pre-cooked carefully, it was nice to be able to complete some dishes with ease (and it's often a mixed bag in rental kitchens). Thanks so much to our hosts for such a terrific weekend!

Halloween Week stay

Fin Gilly Cottage was the perfect size and location for my husband and I and our two dogs. Close to the bike path, Sconset Village and beach, and sunset views across the Serengeti. Jack and family are wonderful, communicative hosts and neighbors. The cottage is spotless, cozy in cooler temps, and well appointed. Perfect for a much needed off season getaway.

Summer 2021

The property is fairly private. It is the first time we have ever stayed in a location that the property owner was next door. Honestly, it was a non-issue. Everything about the property listing was accurate other than the pictures of the deck. The furniture has changed. It might be a good idea to return the umbrella and the outdoor carpet. One of the chairs was broken and needs to be replaced. The outdoor shower is the bomb. The distance from several areas of the island made it important for us to rent a car. We thought we would be able to use bikes exclusively, but it took too much time. So, we used both. It isn't a must, but we had dinner reservations several times and our 9 year old got worn out on mile #10 whenever we did the loop to downtown. The owner (Jack) was friendly and the 4 chickens on property were a hoot. Our son loved them. The interior of the house was well-appointed. Not one complaint here. It was charming and comfortable. I would recommend this location to friends and have no regrets staying at this slice of Nantucket. Thanks for allowing us to be your guests Jack!

Nice Tom Nevers home

This property is one of the nicest available at this price point. We stayed in the house for two weeks which gave us a good sense of what we liked and what might need to be addressed. The very best thing about this property is the new ac unit which cools the house nicely and is not one of those terrible window units. The property has very good privacy and the way it sits faces away from the main house. The outdoor space is great and there is a nice outdoor shower. The BBQ is in good shape (Weber Summit) and sits on good sized deck with table and chairs. We really liked the layout of the interior of the house, two rooms one on each side of the house, the living room is a good size and the furniture is nice, the sheets and towels are also nice and we liked the pillows. Both bathrooms are good and not worn out. The kitchen has what seems to be new refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave as well as new coffee maker, blender and mixer. The stove works well be is a bit tired. The glasses, dishes and utensils are in good shape and there is a couple of new pans and a new knife set. We thought the location was great and no noise from milestone road. We will continue to rent this house in the future.
