Bienvenido a Old Woodland Acres Designer "Industrial-Rustic" Cottage. Esta cabaña es una de las tres que se encuentran en nuestros 17 acres fuera de Charleston, WV. Esta es nuestra cabaña más nueva. Con camas cómodas, sábanas suaves y frescas, toallas suaves, ... nuestra cabaña industrial-rústica es de 2 habitaciones / 4 camas individuales (o 1 HAB / 2 gemelas / TV y 1 HAB / K / TV), totalmente equipada, cocina comedor / cafetería, un baño con hermosos azulejos envolventes con original bañera y ducha, sala de estar / TV. WiFi gratis. Aire y calefacción central. Tenemos senderos para caminar por el bosque y una pequeña hoguera / parrilla con previo aviso).

Lovely little home, tucked in trees, so even though you are close to the road there isn't a lot of road noise in this particular cabin. We didn't get to explore the property because we had other plans, but it seems like it would be a great way to spend a morning, walking the trails. Add others have commented, the beds are a bit squeaky, but we slept fine. The muffins and bottles of water were a nice welcome. It is the country, so be prepared for a rocky driveway in, but once you get past the entrance, it is easy to navigate.

Great character just enough space

Great place to stay when visiting the area. House is well maintained and has most things you might need. Kitchen is adequate so you don’t have to eat out all the time and the bathroom is nice as well. Beds are super squeaky but adequate. Location is a bit tough to get to at various times of day due to traffic. Best VRBO in the area by a long shot

Such a gem!

We are long time VRBO fans and this one didn’t disappoint. The property was so clean, check in was easy, the owner is super kind, and the all around vibe of the place is just fantastic. From the extra blankets on the bed to the fully stocked coffee maker, to the plentiful towels and linens, to the birds chirping at us in the morning…We had an amazing time! Definitely coming back with more family.

Fabulously Cozy and Chic

This was by far one of the better VRBO stays that we have had. It was a chilly day of arrival but we came in to a very warm and cozy electric fireplace that was just what we needed. Everything was very clean and the linens were spa quality. Fluffy, warm and cozy just what I like! The property was quiet and peaceful. Thank you for a fantastic break from reality! We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice getaway

It was a nice place. Very pretty. We are from Ohio and was not ready the poor mountain roads and steep driveway. The weather didn’t help our stay either. Overall the place was very beautiful and comfy. Just want we needed!! Thanks!!

Wonderful stay!

This was the perfect getaway for two lifelong friends. The house is adorable, perfectly decorated and appointed, and stocked with everything you need and more. The beds are super comfortable as was the couch. The extra touches were fantastic. We had one small issue with wifi and the owner responded immediately. We will be back!

Nice little cottage

We enjoyed our stay & property manager was great. She did extras that others don’t do. Full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash. A muffin tray, bottled waters and coffee waiting for you. I highly recommend her and this cottage.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed a beautiful drive up from southern Virginia. Third time staying at this property. It's nicely decorated, clean and the bed is so comfy. As always, Nancy surprises us with wonderful muffins. Will definitely stay again!

Charming Cozy Cottage

We had a lovely time at this charming, cozy cottage. We cooked all of our meals here and enjoyed several hikes at the local state park (about 40 minutes). The cottage was quite clean and had what we needed for our stay. The shower is also very nice -- no shortage of hot water or water pressure. Be aware the roads in this area are winding with lots of switchbacks. To be expected in the mountains, but a bit tricky to navigate if you are a "flatlander".

Beautiful cottage

This cottage was immaculately clean and decorated with great taste. Spacious and cozy and same time. Bed and pillows very comfy. We loved the surprise of yummy muffins left for us. If in area I highly recommend this place.

Perfect house for a quick trip

We had a lovely stay at the cottage while in town for a family function. Plenty of room for myself, husband, and 10 month old. The house isn’t “baby proof” per say, but it didn’t make the stay difficult with a curious almost-walker. Kitchen was perfect, bathroom was very stylish and functional, and the cabin was immaculately clean. Be prepared for the steep driveway, and the water gets scalding hot when it’s wide open. Otherwise, we would definitely rebook if in the area!

West Virginia Gem

My daughter and I stayed at the Old Woodland Acres Cottage for 4 nights while we were exploring West Virginia. Cottage was a perfect size for the two of us and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed to feel at home. Everything in the cottage was in good working order. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting of the property. Thanks for providing a great place to stay while in West Virginia!

Just what we needed...

Nancy responded to my “last minute” request to book promptly, made all our requested accommodations, and the property was exactly as advertised. Clean, private, nicely updated and easy to get to and from. The fresh muffins were unbelievable! If we find ourselves in the Charleston area again, we will be sure to contact Nancy.

Industrial Rustic Cottage

Great little property for the weekend. 15 minutes from the soccer complex, plenty of shopping and food nearby. Super clean, comfy beds, wonderful host, very charming. If we are back in the area, we won’t hesitate to rent again!

Family Stay

This property was lovely. Nancy has excellent and prompt communication. The property is Exactly as advertised, super clean, well stocked kitchen, extra blankets and pillows and plenty of fluffy soft towels. We use Charleston as a halfway meeting place to enjoy family weekends— we will be back!

Delightful couples retreat cottage.

Quaint, tastefully remolded, perfect for a short getaway, close to nearby activities, friendly owners. The muffins, water along with coffee and tea upon arrival were a nice touch. Soft bedding and towels were a plus.

Fall Getaway

I loved this cottage the minute I walked in the door. Nancy has taken care of every detail you can think of, and even those you haven't. The week before our arrival, Nancy emailed a very thorough and detailed email that included directions and FYI tidbits about the cottage and surrounding area. We arrived on a Friday evening and I called her with a question about the house number. She was quick to answer and was extremely friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was very well decorated and extremely clean. I cannot say enough good things about this location. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect little getaway

This is our second time staying and both have been great. The house is clean and decorated perfectly, it has everything we needed for our weekend stay. The banana bread and muffin are an added bonus that we look forward too.

Our beautiful property, "Old Woodland Acres" has been in our family for over 150 years. It is a well kept secret... offering tranquility to an otherwise noisy, crowded world. Ron's professional degree is Accounting and mine, (Nancy) is Education. We have 2 daughters and son-n-laws, plus 3 granddaughters, Stormie, Starr, Lakyn and 1 grandson, Che River (their very names reflect our natural surroundings) We are Entrepreneurs & Business Owners, including a Travel Agency “Regal Travel by Design”, both domestic & international Travel, Weddings “Dream Weddings & Events” International Safari Company “Wild Heart African Safaris” East Africa, Business Coaching “The Art of Entrepreneur" to our own Rustic Venue, Old Woodland Acres. We are also Pastors to Pastors in our beautiful city and state of Charleston, West Virginia. We have traveled the world but our home is our beautiful West Virginia We enjoy long walks on our 17 acre estate past small rock cliffs, an old farm chicken house, the generational initial trees started by Ron's initials carved by his grandfather to now the 5th generation. We cross a rocky creek and explore a pine tree grove on the top of the mountain. We also enjoy watching the wild life including several species of birds, deer, ground hogs, foxes, squirrels and any other animal that may wonder by. Old Woodland Acres is 17 acres of mountain. Our guest enjoy a stand alone cottage. Featuring 2 bedrooms, fully-equipped eat-in kitchen, Livingroom, beautiful tiled bath with combination tub/shower. The garage/workshop is not available to guess Cable TV in Livingroom and 1st Bedroom. 2nd Bedroom TV with local channels. The cottage enjoys Free WiFi and Central Air & Heating. The cottage is located on the front of the property off the main road -(not in the woods & may experience light road noise & lots of nature) Our Farmhouse is located behind our Cottages making us readily available for our guest. Also behind the Cottages are tranquil rough nature paths for the explorer.
