Imagínese despertarse con el sonido del océano desde nuestro sexto piso, condominio frente a la playa! Justo en la playa de Madeira, nuestro complejo de apartamentos cuenta con una piscina climatizada, jacuzzi, cancha de tejo, choza tiki y una gran parrilla de barbacoa. ¡Experimenta la verdadera vida en la playa!

Deléitese con una taza de café por la mañana o un vaso de vino por la noche desde el balcón de 30 pies de largo que se extiende a lo largo del condominio. Acceda al balcón desde la sala de estar y el dormitorio principal para que todos puedan apreciar realmente las impresionantes vistas del océano y espectaculares puestas de sol. Incluso puede llegar a ver el elusivo "destello verde" cuando el sol se oculta debajo del horizonte.

Madeira Beach, que los lugareños llaman Mad Beach, se extiende frente a nuestro condominio, que llamamos cariñosamente La Playa Loca. Disfruta de la vista de 180 grados del Golfo de México. Si prefieres nadar cerca de casa, no dudes en utilizar la piscina climatizada y la bañera de hidromasaje reservadas exclusivamente para los que se alojen en el complejo Ocean Sands.

Nuestro condominio está ubicado entre Clearwater y St. Playas de Pete, y dentro de los 45 minutos. del Aeropuerto Internacional de Tampa. El edificio se encuentra a poca distancia a pie de una tienda de comestibles, farmacia, tienda de conveniencia, restaurantes, bares, tiendas, una oficina de correos y una biblioteca. El popular John's Pass Village está a poca distancia en tranvía.

We have stayed in the area for several years and Scott and Laurie were by far the best hosts yet. They had everything we could want or need to make our stay at the beach wonderful. Condo and the building itself were very clean even with work going on to some repairs from the hurricane. We hope to stay there again next year.

We just wanted to thank Scott and Laurie at Ocean Sands In our 6th year of renting with them. We wish that we had switched sooner! We have never been disappointed. The unit has been consistently rented through the year, and we have rented in different months, but the unit is always in perfect condition. We love that Scott And Laurie handle everything pertaining to renters and Ocean Sands even have a maintenance department that handles all the small problems that might occur. It is so easy to call or email anytime day or night and We have always gotten a prompt reply from someone knowledgeable and friendly. Madeira beach had some hard times last year because of the hurricane, and there are other condos that are still in repair, but we just spent our 14 nights in the unit watching the Sun go down from our great patio. Thanks for letting us stay with you. Thanks for the chance, and best good works in the future! Lots of renters must envy you!

A Home Away from Home! My wife and I traveled to Scott and Laurie's beautiful "La Playa Loca" with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. We were amazed at how clean, organized and stocked their condo was. Their detailed instructions and hospitality went beyond our expectations. Their spacious balcony had an ocean view and a beautiful seating area. We enjoyed the ample amenities available to us, such as the condo pool, beach toys and chairs, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and all the coffee and spices imaginable. Scott and Laurie definitely take pride in their beautiful vacation home. We will definitely be returning to this condo with our family in the future!

Family Vacation

My husband and I are recently retired and decided to spend 2 weeks at this property . The owners Laurie and Scott are by far the best hosts I have ever come across. Their communication etc. is top notch . The property was stocked with everything you could possibly want including beach chairs, wagon, umbrellas, beach toys etc. They had plenty of laundry soap, coffee, spices etc. The location was perfect. We decided not to rent a car and we were able to walk to many restaurants, John’s Pass, the grocery store, CVS, and the convenience store. We took the trolley to St Pete and did take an Uber a couple of times after our daughter and 2 grandsons joined us. There was even a wonderful miniature golf within walking.Highly recommend.Thank you again Laurie and Scott

Would not stay anywhere else. Scott and Laurie are wonderful hosts. Condo is clean, location is perfect, property is well maintained. Beach closet is FULLY stocked!! Plenty of beach towels provided as well. This year, my great niece used the pack n play and high chair that Scott and Laurie thoughtfully provide for guests. They anticipate and prepare for all types of guests. Plenty of restaurants to walk to, short drive/ beach ride(taxi) or trolley ride to John’s pass. Plenty of grocery stores, CVS, Walmart, mini golf, or chain restaurants ( if you choose) all very close as well. Looking forward to next May!

The perfect condo on Madeira beach

When I read reviews I want simple details like was it clean, are the beds comfortable, were the beach chairs nice. I thought the reviews were too good to be true, but they are not! This has been the best place we have ever stayed. Why, because Scott and Laurie have made their place so comfortable. Yes the location is perfect for viewing amazing sunsets,walks on the beach and pool time but it’s the little things like a kitchen with everything, a bathroom closet filled with all you need and another closet filled with great beach chairs, umbrellas and more. The decor is beautiful and the beds are comfortable. We had a wonderful time.

Spring 2025

Our family has enjoyed this property many times in the past. We were delighted to come again this year for a longer stay. Our adult kids were able to come for a few days too. The location is perfect for relaxing, enjoying the pool and beach, and dining in a variety of places. The hosts are great communicators and have a wonderful place they are happy to see visitors enjoy. We've been a variety of vacation rental and the hospitality shown here is unmatched! We hope to continue returning in the future as an escape from the cold. Nothing beats sun on your face and sand in your toes!

Our home away from home

Five years ago we decided to look for a two week rental in Madeira Beach. It didn't take us long on Vrbo to focus on Scott and Laurie's offering in Ocean Sands. Comments from past renters convinced us that this was just what we were looking for, so we booked the unit. When we arrived, it didn't take us long to realize we had made an excellent choice! The unit had everything that we could wish for in a rental, and some features that we couldn't imagine, including a perfect location. As soon as we booked, we realized that the owners took pride in what they offered. We were provided with information that quickly made us feel like we were there before, and if we had any questions, Scott and Laurie were ready to provide answers. We realized that we wanted to come back, and we've booked for the next four years, and every time that we returned, we could see innovations that showed the owners' pride in their property. We live on the East Coast of Florida, but in the last five years we've driven 450 miles back and forth per year to feel like we were home. We can't imagine anywhere we could travel that would make us feel this way.

I have stayed here 5 times and every time when our 14 days are up it is sooo very hard to leave. The owners are extremely considerate and they sincerely care about their guest! Beach Front Bliss

Another year, another wonderful vacation at La Playa Loca. We enjoyed our time in the sun spending time at the pool and on the beach. The view from the balcony is spectacular where you can view the dolphins in the morning and the sunsets in the evening. The condo is very clean and well maintained. As always, Scott and Laurie are great hosts who ensure you have everything you need to sit back and enjoy your time at their condo in Ocean Sands. La Playa Loca

The BEST condo owners ever!!! Excellent communication, amenities, CLEANLINESS, everything you need to just unpack and relax is right there. Scott and Laurie are wonderful hosts!!! If you should need something ( which you won’t) They are very responsive and resolve any issues quickly. The complex itself if safe and secure. Maintenance does a wonderful job keeping the grounds maintained. You really do not need a car unless you plan on doing day trips. There is a free beach taki service that runs on tips only, Big Willie’s Tiki Taxi, and the Beach Trolley. Winne Dixie and the liquor store is within walking distance as well as MANY bars and restaurants. I suggest taking one of the taxi services down to John’s Pass and boardwalk for shopping, dining and excursions. If you’re not familiar with the area, parking can be hard to find and if you end up in a private lot it is VERY Expensive. The sunset views from the balcony can not be beat!!! Nice hot tub and pool take advantage of that. The beach is AMAZING!!!! Relax, have fun, make new friends and best of all make new memories!!!! You’re on vacation!! Have fun!!! Can not wait to return in 2025!!! Thanks again Scott and Laurie!!

Spectacular! What a beautiful condo! Scott and Laurie are the most responsive hosts we’ve ever encountered with VRBO. When they asked us if there was anything they needed to change or fix, we honestly couldn’t think of a single thing! The beautifully decorated and unbelievably well- stocked unit, the stunning views from the huge balcony, the pristine building and great location,- 5 stars all around! We cannot wait to visit again!

Excellent Condominium

This is our third time staying at this condo on the beach. Scott and Laurie take excellent care of their property. We love sitting on the large balcony over looking the Gulf of Mexico. The sunsets are spectacular. The condo is well stocked with everything you need for the beach and pool. The kitchen has everything for cooking dinner or restaurants across the street for when we didn’t feel like preparing dinner. We have booked another stay. We will be back.

2nd year at this condo, great again, December 2023

This condo has everything you need. There is an over abundance of supplies; toilet paper, towels, soap, beach gear, etc. The unit is right on the gulf, great views out of the living room and guest bedroom, with sliding doors going out to the balcony from each room. The king bed in the main bedroom very comfortable. The owners are the best of any vrbo we have rented, and we have rented many places in the US and abroad. Great communication in every phase. The location in Madeira Beach is perfect. There are restaurants within easy walking distance from the unit. Walking the beach every day is a delight. Bottom line: you cannot go wrong with renting this unit. A no brainer. Absolutely highly recommend.

Amazing Stay

A group of five former soccer moms thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo. Madeira Beach is the perfect location to enjoy the beach, restaurants and all the amenities along the gulf coast. As trip coordinator, this is my 5th stay at Ocean Sands and first time in this particular unit. To say the condo is well stocked would be an understatement. Everything you need is on hand and in total abundance! Just a quick trip to get some groceries and you can relax in the beautiful pool or on the sandy shore. I took the gals exploring on day one via the "Jolly Trolly" with stops at Treasure Island and John's Pass. Numerous restaurants explored during our two-week stay included Sculleys, Conch Republic, Lucky Lizard, Dockside Daves, Ricky Ts, Frabottas, Salt Rock Grill and Berns Steakhouse in Tampa. Very little cooking for this crew! Hosts Lori and Scott were fabulous and we enjoyed the most delicious welcome gift upon our arrival (I won't spoil the surprise here!). The sleeping situation was a little tight for the five of us, but fortunately we brought along an air mattress. I highly recommend LaPlaya for those looking to stay in this area.

Playa Loca 2nd time

Ocean Sands is a wonderful place to stay and we’ve been to several condos there but when you walk into Play Loca it is like going into someone’s home, not a beach rental. The nice tile floors in the common area are clean, well maintained carpets in the bedroom catch your attention immediately. Everything is up to date, the furniture and beds are comfortable and the TV’s are all equipped for streaming and there is cable of course. The kitchen is well equipped with a large sett of matching dish ware and a large set of matching silverware, not always what you find in a rental! There is a bountiful supply of paper products, soap, shampoo and detritus. The owners are very attentive and helpful should you need any assistance while you are there. This was our 2nd stay and we hope to go back.

We can honestly say that when we vacation at La Playa Loca, we wish that our vacation could last longer. When we arrived and opened the door to our condo, everything was as perfect as it was on our previous three rentals. The condo was kept up-to-date and fully stocked and we noticed several upgrades that took place since we were here last year. We knew that if we had any questions or had any problems, we could contact Scott or Laurie, and they'd get back to us as soon as they received our message. This is our fourth booking with the Gough family, but we've vacationed at least twenty other times in this area with other condo rental owners. Most of these rentals were good, but we didn't know what “Excellent” meant until we stayed with Scott and Laurie. They put all of the other rentals to shame.

Our Happy Place

Our second stay at La Playa Loca was truly a delight. The condo is clean, comfortable and very well stocked. It provides everything you may need during your stay. We enjoyed our days relaxing at the beach/pool and evenings watching amazing sunsets from the balcony. There are many good restaurants and shops within walking distance or a short drive. Scott and Laurie are very thoughtful and accommodating hosts, ensuring you have the best guest experience. We look forward to returning next year. Thank you Scott and Laurie!

Another great vacation

This condo is perfect! Perfect location. Perfect amenities. Perfectly furnished. Perfect owners. This is our third time staying and I would not hesitate to come back. It is what you want your vacation to be.

We love the mountains in our home state of Colorado, but we also feel right at home on the Florida beaches!

We have lived in Colorado since the late 90's and enjoy all that our beautiful state has to offer. Scott retired from the Air Force and Laurie is a retired librarian who was raised in Tampa. We have two adult daughters, our "Colorado girls," who also love spending time on the beach.

Having grown up in Tampa, Laurie spent a lot of time with her family on local beaches. She even remembers walking along Madeira Beach as a child. Buying this condo brought our family back to our Florida roots.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

When Laurie first walked in, she looked through the living area, directly onto the ocean. Also, she really liked the easy access to the 30 foot balcony from both the living room and the master bedroom.

Scott also liked that many conveniences are within a short walking distance from the condo. With access to a trolley, you could go days without driving a car!
