Annual OBX Trip

First time staying at this property but have stayed at other host property. The view is amazing! Loved waking up every morning to the view of the water and watching the sunset from the private pier. There were alot of jellyfish in the ocean a couple days and it was very hot so it was nice to just enjoy the day rekaxing on the pier with a nice breeze. The location was a short drive to many restaurants and shopping. We had one issue but contacted the host and she responded immediately and resolved it. The house is perfect for a small family. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent Property

This was our second year staying at this property and we are still in love with it! Nice location on the water, beautiful sunsets, quiet neighborhood, and close to grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. The property has everything you need, is very clean and the host are very kind and prompt in responding to any questions. Would highly recommend.

Peaceful cottage on the sound

We loved the Bay House! It was so incredibly quiet and peaceful despite being just a few minutes to all the amenities of OBX. We loved swimming and kayaking off the dock, relaxing in the hot tub and the super close beach access. The house was clean, well stocked and cozy. Highly recommend!!

Quiet bay house

Beautiful bay house with great views and a nice dock. House was cozy and had everything you need from fishing off the dock to relaxing in the screened in porch, enjoying the sunsets.

20th anniversary in KDH

Perfect spot for history/ocean/food lovers. Despite the oppressive heat we ventured to the Wilbur Wright Museum, Roanoke, Duck, Corolla (saw horses!) lighthouses and more! The house was a great, close location to it all, clean, A/C worked great for our afternoon naps and comfy nights of sleep. I only wish we had more time. Next time I’d like to see Okrakoke and rent kayaks to enjoy the sound.

Beautiful stay on the sound

Fantastic from start to finish! The weather didn't quite cooperate, but it was great to come back to the hot tub and great views of the sound at the end of the day. Loved the quiet, walkable neighborhood and the house had everythig we needed. Lindsey was a great host, communicated quickly and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

The house was a perfect size for the four of us. Remarkably clean which is always a ten for me.

Loved the view from the rocking chairs in the back yard, it was awesome to look at the bay and the boats by while having your morning coffee. You couldn't go wrong renting the bay house.

Prime location!

Clean, quiet, and ideally located house on the sound. We loved the proximity to the beach, the dunes, the Wright brothers museum and more. The walk/bike path right out the front door was a huge bonus for morning jogs and we loved fishing off the private dock. Communication with Lindsey was perfect. Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful View

We had a wonderful time at the Bay House. The sunset was beautiful every evening. Very comfy house! We really enjoyed learning how to play the hook and ring game downstairs. My husband and I went on a walk every morning. We will be back! Thanks so much for sharing your house with us!

Perfect Honeymoon

Soundside Sunsets

My husband and I enjoyed the location on the water so much. Beautiful Sunsets. We ate all our meals on the screened in back porch. We tried fishing from the dock. No luck catching fish but it was a great view and a relaxing calming peaceful dock on the on the bay. House was just as described. In excellent location.

Just what we wanted

This house was super cute, the location was great and you can’t beat the view. Loved having coffee every morning on the porch. All the little touches were super thoughtful and helped make our stay even better. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing Getaway!

This was our first time to OBX! We searched for a property that was fitting just for the two of us. There are so many huge houses with 5+ bedrooms, etc, which we did not need. I just wanted a cute beach bungalow type place. Well, we found it at The Bay House! It was perfect! The historical photos in the house gave it a different feel that I wasn't expecting. Seeing the history and how the area looked 50+ years ago was pretty awesome! We enjoyed the hot tub every night after a day of adventuring! Lindsey is a great manager and easy to communicate and work with! We hope to be back to enjoy this property in the future!

Relaxing and comfort - just what we needed!

The Bay House was perfect for our family trip to the Outer Banks! Met my parents with my fiancé and very much enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and just as pictured. The bay side was actually even warmer than the ocean side in the evenings! Hot tub was the perfect end to every evening and the property is centrally located to any site you’d like to see in the Outer Banks!

The Perfect Getaway

The house and location was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the Waterfront views. The best vacation stay on the sound ever. Already looking forward to scheduling our vacation here again next year.

The Bay House fell into our laps and we ran with it making it our own! We knew we wanted to share it with people! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

My husband and I met just houses down; this is where our story began. The previous owner and builder was a long time friend of my husbands. My husband started his career taking care of his lawn at this very home.

Sound front with a private pier and gazebo. New multipurpose bike path right out front of the home. Centrally located. Outside shower and hot tub with a view. Newly remodeled. Locally owned and managed.
