Charming, comfy, clean and cool.

The house is charming, comfortable, clean and cool. It was well over 90 degrees the first two days of our stay and the AC was excellent. The driveway is steep, but our Subaru Outback and our Ford Escape easily made it up without scraping. Excellent location walking distance to stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. We would definitely stay again.

Ely is a 5 out of 5 stars host! Very communicative, helpful and easily accessible. We were also afforded an early check in, thank you! Very comfortable beds, nice linens and lovely views. The house was quaint and clean. The utensils in the kitchen and the cabinets need deep cleaning. The approach to front door is very steep.

Lovely getaway

We enjoyed this property very much, it had everything we needed to feel right at home. The location is wonderful and so close to parks, hiking, restaurants, etc. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind climbing stairs multiple times a day lol.

Excellent stay in Dunsmuir

Ely’s place was great. Was there for 3 nights with 4 adults and a 3 year old. Everything about it was excellent. The house is comfortable. Very clean. Beds, linens, towels for bathroom were all comfortable. The living and dining room space was plenty for 4 adults and a kid. We enjoyed the board games and assortment of toys for kids. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you should need for basic cooking. A big east facing window lets on a lot morning. Light and beautiful view and the hillside. It was a very calm, quiet, and peaceful place. It is all of a 30 second walk to the grocery store, microbrewery,, bakery, playground, and library. Plus more just a short distance away. Easy 20 minute drive to Mt Shasta Ski Park. 2 minutes to Hedge Creek Falls and a few to Mossbrae Falls. Ely was easy and responsive to communicate with. We would happily stay there again.

Great mountain views & perfect location

We loved our stay there. It's such a perfect location. The view of the mountain from the porch is amazing! It's so serene and beautiful... The house was also very clean and very kid friendly. I have 10 months baby and everything seemed safe for her to crawl and explore. The backyard is a nice space to chill as well. We enjoyed making bbq and eating dinner there. Beds are comfy. Everything's perfect. Just the thermostat was bit difficult to maneuver but Ely was very communicative and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house is in perfect location with great mountain views and nice vibe !! eating dinner there. anandand

Loved the spaciousness and quiet neighborhood

We had an incredible week at Mont Shasta, visiting several of its magical wonders. We loved Dunsmuir because it was very quiet and laid back. This home was spacious and had a great kitchen with large fridge and espresso machine. The beds were very comfortable for everyone and we enjoyed the beautiful living area with view of the mountains. Our sleep was unfortunately affected by the loud fridge noises and noisy central heating system. Even with earplugs, our sleep was affected... The house is also right next to the highway but there is less circulation at night. Communication with the owner was less fast on account of him being away on vacation in Europe, which delayed some messages. If you are not a light sleeper and like spacious comfortable homes, this place is for you!

Second time I've stayed here. Clean, comfortable, easy to like. walk to grocery, quick drive to multiple fishing spots on the Sacramento River.

Comfortable cool home in Mt Shasta area

Very comfortable home in the small town of Dunsmuir. Great seating in the living room, comfie bed in the back bedroom, nice big spa tub/shower combo and fantastic AC. The house is very clean and quiet. The only less appealing aspect of the home is the small hill and stairs to the front door. The stairs are tall and steep and a little awkward for someone with less than limber mobility and balance. This can be bypassed by using the back door and stairs which are standard dimensions with a good handrail.

Nice Location and Home

We were looking for a home in a peaceful area, nice amenties and close to lots of things to do. This century home fit the bill. This home is close to lots of activities from hiking, shopping, fishing, skiing (in season) and sight seeing to name a few. Groceries and restaurants are nearby. Loved the sounds of the couple trains in the distance as they passed through. House is set up for lots of adults ad even has a crib available for a little one. Two bedrooms are on the main floor with another large one upstairs. The kitchen has the basics for cooking and we have made some suggestions to the owner how to enhance that. The steps are a bit challenging and we found the steps leading from the back patio were an easier way to bring in and take out our luggage. We did not use the patio as it was not quite in-season for that but would be enjoyable when available. Sitting on the porch was nice at the end of the day. Communication with the owner was immediate when we had a couple questions. We would return.

Perfect cabin for family vacation in Mt Shasta area

This place was just wonderful for our multi generation family of 6. We visited for our annual holiday trip. The house is very clean, warm, tastefully decorated and light, close to the restaurants in Dunsmuir (nearest and awesome Dunsmuir Brewery Works is just down the street). There's very nice furniture in the living room, with new super comfortable sofas-lounge chairs and smart TV. Beds and the whole house is very comfortable. There is enough space for 6 people and everything is well organized. We are grateful to the host for being available and checking in with us in case we needed anything. Kitchen has all necessities, and espresso machine; we cooked and baked cookies. Grocery store is just a couple blocks away. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, there's church right down the street. We also discovered Magic Mountain massage and wellness studio nearby, which turned out to be amazing. This area is so beautiful and this place is a wonderful home for the holidays and in any season. We're hoping to be back soon!

Peaceful and welcoming

Property was well situated, easy to get to and in a quiet neighborhood. Easy access to freeway. Exactly what we needed while we explorered the area. Clean and accommodating and very peaceful.
