Shore Trip

Very nice place with easy access to beach and pool, not overcrowded and peaceful though right on the main road. Enjoyed our stay.

Great Home Just Needs Some Love

This is my 7th stay at the Cottages at Romar and my first stay at this cottage, Crystal Paradise. Prickett Properties has great customer service. I would stay at this house again but it certainly needs A LOT of love and attention. Windows have cracks in them including one actual hole, window screens are torn, no hot water in kitchen, the cooking pots are all scratched up, the kitchen faucet is messed up, when you sit down on the sofa it sinks, there is aluminum foil that is filling spaces underneath the kitchen sink, just a lot of issues. This is a beautiful home it just needs some attention and maintenance. I hope the owners give this lovely cottage the love and attention it deserves.

Good place to stay

1. Bath tubs are slippery and have no grab bars, so if you are old like me use the walk in shower in the room with the queen size bed. 2. Most of the windows had outside shutters closed and no way to open them. 3. Several windows have broken glass that need to be replaced. 4. The only window that you could see the ocean through has a shade that can’t be raised because of missing pull chain. None of these things kept me from enjoying my stay, just hoping these problems get fixed before I stay there again.

Property manager/owner lied about issues being fixed before booking

This cottage is cute. However, it had several issues from a review in February of 2023 that we called about before booking. We were assured by Prickett Properties that all of these had been fixed, but when we arrived, they clearly had not. We would not have booked this house had we known. The two windows in the living room are cracked and have holes. There is aluminum foil plugging holes in the plumbing under the sink. The couch is in such horrible condition it almost cannot be sat on, and makes loud noises when sitting. The living room furniture was all stained. There were only two pans that could be used in the kitchen, and a lack of plates/bowls/cups to eat from. Overall, this cottage would be lovely to stay at if the owner and property managers would actually fix these issues. The community is wonderful, the pool is great for kids, and the beach access is perfect. If you are thinking of booking this property or you already have, I encourage you to ask for photos as proof these issues have been fixed. When we called to notify prickett properties that the issues were still there upon arrival, they asked us what we wanted them to do about it. This was not a great response. The only issue they offered to handle was having someone come “look” at the windows, and we did not want construction happening while we were trying to enjoy a vacation with our children. Make sure you do your research before booking this cottage!

Very clean property. Location is great being on the beachside of the road. Be aware that you may need to bring or purchase extra supplies as they only provide one dishwasher detergent packet, no dish soap and one small roll of TP per bathroom.

Wonderful!

Plenty of room for our party of 8! Quiet neighborhood very family friendly. Would stay again. Hesitant to say too much more because I want to keep this gem to myself! LOL Loved the neighborhood set up over the condo set-up we are used to. It was mostly young families staying in the neighborhood, which we loved! Nothing quite so jarring as sitting with your young children and party-minded, bethonged people are around. Didn't have that problem here! My only wishes would be some sort of noise barriers between the house and the beach access road, to help cut down the road noise on the back porch -it was not noticeable at all inside the house-. Something like the shutter-type like those around the AC units.More storage in the kitchen for food stuffs. Some privacy curtains and some small mounted fans in the bunkbeds on the stair landing.

Quick getaway

We loved our little cottage. It was exactly like the pictures online and extremely clean. The location could not be any better to getting around for restaurants and also walking to the beach. The property manager was always on top of it through the whole process. Anything we needed all we had to do is ask. Highly recommend this property

Absolutely awesome

This place was wonderful. It is exactly as shown. My family and I had a wonderful time making memories here and will definitely book again in the future. Though I wish we could see the beach from the house, the proximity makes up for it. So easy to go back and forth with kids etc. 10/10

Super cute condo close to the beach with access to a pool, had all the plates/cup/appliances that we needed, and maintenance fixed the only issue we had quickly, a great overall experience

We had a wonderful girls trip here and we really loved the location! The house was beautiful and clean and we especially loved the pool. The check in process was smooth. Already looking to stay with Prickett properties again.

Beach fun

Very nice property, a couple of maintenance issues needed. I sent in an email, responded right away to put on repair list. Nothing that kept us from enjoying our stay. In addition, highly recommend Angry Crab restaurant. We ate there twice. Even if you want a burger, best burger ever and the cornbread the next day !!!

Family Beach Trip

Crystal Paradise was beautifully decorated, well appointed kitchen and the location was amazing—a short walk to the Gulf. It is right by busy Perdido Beach Blvd so traffic noise was a bit disrupting at night but we got used to it. Beds were super comfy. Be sure to bring dish soap, hand soap, Kleenex as the property doesnt stock. TP and paper towels were limited for a weeks stay. There was some beach toys under the stairs. Kitchen stocked with everything including a Keurig (sp?) and regular coffee pot, juicer, blender etc. Porch lighting was orange heat lamps which I learned was for the turtle hatching season but not comfortable for sitting at night. We bought some lanterns w low lighting and brought fans since they didnt have ceiling fans. This property is great for two families w kids that can enjoy the double bunk beds.

Central Location

Good location that is centrally located to almost everything. The community of homes with pool was great for us. Beach was a quick walk through private access. Beds were comfortable overall, but be prepared for a lot of street noise. We ended up using a white noise maker to drown out the vehicle noise. Kitchen had most basic supplies for cooking, but lacked some items such as a pasta strainer. Overall, good property that is close to everything Orange Beach has to offer.

Beautiful home gulf view

Loved the cleanness & lovely decorations! Better than photos even! Enjoyed extra space to spread out in & since husband needs extra sleep I could relax & read in extra room till my bedtime. Great for us all-around. Loved the gulf which we had a small view from upstairs & could walk to in 2 minutes!

The property is beautiful and very roomy. My only suggestion...needs kitchen cleaning supplies, dish detergent, scrub brush or sponge to help clean the dishes and kitchen. Thanks for allowing us to stay in this property!

Great House, Easy Beach Access

It was perfect for our group. Easy check-in, the house was as described online and the pictures accurately represent the property. We enjoyed the cleanliness of the home, the easy beach access, and the on-site pool. We would definitely book this house again!
