We enjoyed our time in this cozy cabin. There’s a great Arizona room with a beautiful view of the river. Many necessities provided, might be nice to have a few games or puzzles. Mattress in master is very firm, guess it depends on your preference. Very responsive host.

Awesome cabin on the E Verde River!

The description of the cabin is right on! The screened in porch faces the river and it's the perfect place to have your morning coffee! The beds are comfy, and the bathrooms and kitchen were immaculate. We were very happy staying in the cabin and hope to come back again!

Quiet nights with fresh air!

Excellent! Beautiful location, the river is right out the back fence. There is an open walkway along the river, which is very nice to walk. The house has a nice layout, a great oven with all of the pans and utensils. The screened in room was the highlight for me, being outdoors with an excellent view, without bugs. Quiet nights with fresh air, it was restful and relaxing, just what I needed!

Serene Oasis with Modern Amenities

Julie and Rand's cottage on the Verde River was a welcome respite from the heat & chaos of everyday life in Phoenix. My husband & I spent 3 lovely nights in Payson enjoying the cool air, cicadas and crickets on the screen porch of this welcoming abode with modern amenities. The entire home (and surrounding grounds) was absolutely spotless and sparkling clean. The nights were cool enough to sleep with the windows open but as the temperature climbed in mid-afternoon we were grateful to have central AC. We were disappointed to find that while tea bags, sugar, creamer and a teapot + drip coffee maker with filters were available, there was no actual coffee grounds. I reviewed the VRBO listing & didn't see it mentioned that we were to BYOC. Not having my cuppa on the porch our 1st morning in town was a big disappointment, made more so as we had already picked up groceries in Walmart the night before. We didn't relish the thought of fighting traffic to get back into town to pick up something that is almost always supplied in vacation rentals. My husband and I thought the bed in the master was a bit on the firm side (even for us), but we both slept well all three nights. The furniture in the living area is well worn and tired. It was difficult to get comfortable on the sagging couch and too soft recliner. Something new and modern would really make that area a delight to convene with loved ones. Overall we loved our stay on the Verde River and hope to return again soon.

Quiet Anniversary Get a way

We are new to the area. My wife and myself retired last year. We moved to the Phoenix area in January.We celebrated our 46 th anniversary at this cabin. Everything was great cabin was clean comfortable and cozy I would highly recommend to anyone and will be coming back hopefully this fall.Thanks for having us.

Lovely retreat

Perfect size getaway, river is chocolate this time of year, but still a beautiful, tree-lined waterway. Convenient access to lots of northern Arizona lakes and trails plus Payson amenities. Julie was a helpful, friendly host. Highly recommend.

Comfy & Clean

Our family enjoyed relaxing in this cute, comfy and clean cabin. We took walks along the backyard river and drove down the street (within the community) to the flowing river area. We really appreciated the cleanliness of this place. The beds were comfy. The extra bed out on the screened porch area not as comfy but our 19yr old grandson loved it. Liked that location was close enough to town, Water Wheel Falls, and Tonto Natural Bridge hikes. Wish we would have had more time to drive to Mogollon Rim but plan on it next time. If you have a small family we highly recommend this lovely cabin. Oh an communication with Julie, the owner, was good.

Secluded Cabin that backs up to East Verde River

Loved staying here! Short drive from the valley, and a good 20-30 degrees cooler than Mesa! Being alongside a small river, the temps are even a bit lower than Payson. It was very close to downtown Payson, but felt very secluded since you just see one neighbors house and nothing but forest and the river below from the wonderful screened in back porch. Super clean and well equipped for short or long stays. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Family Reunion

Host was very helpful in making arrangements for my older family members. She was always responsive and made check-in easy. Other family members stayed nearby and the grandkids got to fish in the river. Fun was had by all, Thank you!

This property was a vacation home set up by the previous owners. They had excellent reviews and tell us it was easy to rent.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Main views look out on the river with no one else in view. There are lovely neighbors but they are not too close. Watch the deer and elk stroll by in the day and starry skies at night.
