"The Texican" en Caney Creek es el lugar perfecto para su próxima escapada costera con su familia y amigos. Quédese y diviértase pescando en el muelle, o traiga su propio bote para pescar o cazar patos en East Matagorda Bay, encienda un fuego en la fogata o diríjase a la playa de Sargent, ¡solo por nombrar algunas cosas! Disfrute del hermoso interior con una nueva cocina de chef con capacidad para hasta 20 personas, habitaciones y baños cómodos y lujosos. ¡Te encantará la experiencia Tex-clusive!

La casa está equipada con televisores de pantalla grande en la sala de estar y 2 de los dormitorios. También tenemos juegos al aire libre, juegos de mesa, kayak de 2 plazas y trona para bebé disponibles. Licuadora Ninja, cafetera, olla de barro, batidora de mano y utensilios básicos de cocina para cocinar. Se permite estacionamiento adicional en un lote seco al otro lado de la calle.

Family Getaway

Checking in to the house was very convenient. The house was very nice with plenty of room for our big family. Pictures online were exactly what the house looked like with the exception of one room. The room next to the kitchen online showed two separate full/queen beds. However when we got there it had two bunk beds with full sized bottom and twin on top. Still was plenty of room for us all! But may want to update that pic. Out of the four bedrooms, only the master bedroom and room by the kitchen had a TV. Not a big deal, but may want to consider putting that in description just in case one wants to sleep in and watch tv in either of those other rooms. We really had a great time! Fishing on the dock was great and easy. THANK YOU!

Relaxing

We had a nice stay at the Texican. The home was nice and in a great location very roomy with all the amenities of home. The only complaint is that the ac is not able to keep up with the size of the home. Although they have portable units in 3 of the rooms the house was still warm in the two rooms without the portable units and also in the living room/dining room as the portable unit is not big enough for the size of the room. I would suggest getting a bigger unit installed or at least add more portable units to the dining/living room and the other 2 bedrooms. But other than that this is a beautiful home with lots of space for everyone to enjoy.

Comfortable, Clean & Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful time & really enjoyed the property. We had 9 adults, 5 children and there was ample room for all. The hostess was very responsive & accommodating. Would definitely rent this beautiful home again.

We had a fun couples weekend. Found this treasure and it was perfect for us. Docked the boats and it was easy access. Adorable house with a great kitchen.

The family &’ I had an amazing stay! Plenty of room for everyone. The stove is amazing! We did lots of fishing, the kids loved it! The rain didn’t stop us from enjoying the view the screened porch is awesome! Definitely wouldn’t mind coming back! SpringBreak2024

Nice property and location but A/C had issues

Very nice property and is well suited for (2) couples with 4-6 children. We ran into one big issue though. Not sure if was the extreme heat, commercial stove top that required about 8 pilot light to stay on constantly, or the Nest thermo stat (probably a combination of all 3). Either way, the house never got below 76 degrees inside and was ~80 in the kids room next to the stove top. When we got there we turned the thermostat down to 70 degrees and left for the beach on Friday. When we got back, the Nest thermostat had reset itself to 83 degrees. Turned it back down to 70 degrees and was 76 that night around 2am. Went back to the beach saturday and Nest thermostat reset its self again. Turned it back down to 70 on Saturday night but never got below 76 degrees inside. If was just adults, it wouldnt have been that bad, but we had a couple 2 year olds and when they dont sleep well…they get crabby (no pun intended). Hope the property can get the A/C figured out because its great other than that. Wish i could have given this property 5 stars, but it wasnt that for our stay.

Lovely Stay

Absolutely beautiful home on the water! We loved the beautiful large kitchen and commercial stove which we made breakfast on. I thought it was great that they provided stuff that you may have forgotten, such as dish soap, spices, mosquito spray, sunblock, shampoo and trash bags! The beds were comfortable and so were the bedding! The dock was great for fishing and getting on our boat, but there are a couple of boards that need to be secured/nailed down. Overall, it was a great stay!

Great Home!

We initially wanted Matagorda, but it was full so we chose The Texican. We were pleasantly surprised, and loved our stay! The house is newly remodeled and has everything you need for a weekend getaway! It slept all of us comfortably. The house and property are clean and we will definitely come back back again! Thanks again!

Annual Family Vacation

This is an annual vacation that we take with our family every year. Overall this house was awesome, we enjoyed the swings, the screened in porch on the back of the house. The fishing deck was awesome. The only issue we had was that the boats come through speeding, there is no speed limit for a boat through that area. My family wanted to get on kayaks, they were able to make it one trip. They said that there were some boats that slowed down for them, then there were some that didn't care and just came on through. The highlight to our trip was that it was my grandchildren's first Family trip. They enjoyed the swing, and as I said before the screened in porch was an awesome place for them to relax and hang out as well. The property manager is awesome and easy to communicate with. I would recommend this house to all of my family and friends. Enjoy!

Enjoyed the stay

Host was easy to communicate with. Aside from the neighbors dogs barking. ( host called and neighbor put up dog) everything was perfect.

Short and sweet

The house was PERFECT for our group of 12.5 very open concept, nice dock/pier to fish off of and swim around. We used the golf cart, paddle boat and washer boards, all were fun and useful. If your wanting to make a “campfire” bring wood to burn. We were intimidated with Cicada Killers flying around but are harmless and never bothered anyone. The home owners were very helpful and attentive to any questions we had. The home is well equipped. The neighborhood is very quiet. It was alittle difficult to initially find because we weren’t very sure how far down the road to drive. Just keep on driving and look for the front of the house with the Mexican statue in the front lawn. We will definitely use the same home again in the future.
