Privado, escondido en el bosque, pero conveniente para la ciudad, los huéspedes tienen la cabaña para ellos solos

Family Gathering

This was a perfect size house for the 3 of us, and enough room for family to come visit!! It’s off the beaten path, so it’s very private & quiet! Check in & check out were very easy because communication was spot on with the contact. Would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful cottage

The cottage itself was lovely and comfortable, very clean and well stocked. The surrounding property was beautiful, so lush and green and full of life, we found wild raspberries and the trees were huge. Overall a wonderful experience.

Farmhouse

We stayed in John's cottage located on his farm while we were in town for a wedding. It was very quiet and peaceful! John was very helpful and friendly! He provided me with very clear and detailed instructions to get to the property. I loved that it was tucked away in the woods! The farm animals were within walking distance, and so cute! Thank you for a very enjoyable stay and experience!

This was an amazing stay for the girls and I as we attending a wedding party in town. It was a fast 15 minute drive to the ceremony and you are only minutes away from stores and restaurants. It was quiet and secluded which was much needed after the 14 hour drive. The hosts were awesome also! We introduced ourselves and my little one noticed the animals and we were introduced to them. Would highly recommend for a quick getaway or for a moment’s stay! Thanks again for having us John!

Five Stars for the Friendliest Host and his dogs!

My family came for my wedding and stayed at the cottage. It was perfect! Cash the big dog was the sweetest giant. House was clean and perfect for our guests. They loved the woods and waking up to see the horses.

Good location for visiting Catholic sites

This is a great location for anyone Looking for a place to stay near the Ave Maria grotto and the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament. There were enough room for us to put a full sized blow-up mattress in the room with the king size mattress for our children. We have two boys 14 and 13, and two girls 9 and 7. The beds were clean and the extra bedding was clean and neatly folded. My youngest daughter also enjoyed being able to see the horses. The owner stayed in close contact with us. The floors could use a little work but for a one night stay we didn’t mind. With the size of our family and age we could have used an extra bathroom.

This was such a great peaceful spot. The house of clean, well organized and well stocked of home essentials. The dogs were the best greeters, they were so sweet and made the stay feel very safe. Bonus of kittens and horses to pet ❤️ Owners were very nice and kept good communication whenever I contacted them during the visit. Definitely a place to stay again.

Dogs on property were adorable. Location was perfect, quiet as I expected. Bugs were bad so spraying would be good idea. Overall nice experience. The guy that runs the place is super nice!

A perfect little country cottage!

I really enjoyed my stay at Meadowbrook cottage. It's set back in the woods at the end of a quiet dirt road. The neighbors and property owners are attentive and gracious. Great communication! We had a storm that knocked the power out, shortly after that happened I received a message from John letting me know that he had reported the outage to the power company. Ii appreciated that and felt good knowing that I wasn't just alone out there. My cell service was spotty at the property, however there is wireless internet which took care of that problem. The smart TV was a real blessing on the rainy days! Everything else was fully functional and well stocked, or comfortable. Thanks again for everything!

Hidden Retreat and Horses!

The Cottage at Meadowbrook was a perfect retreat for our family as we visited Catholic pilgrim sites in the area. It's hidden down a little gravel road and the home had just enough space for our family of 7. We started our visit in Hanceville, spending an afternoon at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament and then went to morning Mass at the lovely and less known Christ the King Monastery just 5 minutes from the cottage. We also were just 10 minutes away from the very impressive Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman. In-between our outings, we had a great time at the cottage! The beautiful horses came right to the fence line in the front yard of the cottage and the owners were terrific in showing us around and telling us about the farm. John was an excellent host and communicator. Kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked and we were able to prepare meals with ease....beds were comfortable and we slept great! We look forward to returning soon to do it all again...maybe a yearly retreat?

Great communications!

I was not able to see this property personally but the wedding guests that I rented for were very happy with the this cottage! They said the beds were comfortable and they had all they needed. The air mattress for their daughter was already blown up awaiting her. This was especially helpful since we had a late night that night! Thanks to John and his family for a warm welcome!

In town for a wedding

We didn’t actually spend much time in the cottage but the time we were there was perfect for our needs. Clean property with comfortable beds. The property owners live very close and our daughters loved getting to know their dogs!

Everyone that stays with us, says there is a real feeling of "peace" on the cottage and property. You get to stay in your own private place in the country, yet you are near enough to town, to experience all it has to offer if you so choose. It truly is the best of both worlds.
