French Sojourn

We were 2 couples, one from Australia, the other Canadian. The apartment was in a great location, plenty of room for 2 groups. Lovely lounge room with verandah ideal for sitting, enjoying drinks. Lectoure was a wonderful village to stay.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this charming apartment in Lectoure. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our lovely host, who gave us a delightful tour of the beautifully appointed, classical, and historic space. The location is simply unbeatable, right next to the Cathedral and surrounded by vibrant shops on the street below the balconies. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need and the generous provisions in the kitchen and bathrooms made our stay even more comfortable. We thank Madame Duperret for her exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. We truly look forward to returning for another visit!

Wonderful apartment, excellent location.

Terrific communication with the host. Very large apartment with all the amenities one could want. The beds are quite comfortable, which is always a nice surprise. Lectoure is a lovely base for exploring the Gers. My second time here, I couldn’t have been happier. Many thanks to you Emmanuelle.

Just what we were looking for

My wife and I had long wanted to find a town in France where we could stay for a couple of weeks and enjoy the daily rhythm of French life. Though we have visited France a number of times, we were always on the go from place to place. Then we found this lovely, spacious apartment in Lectoure, in the Ger departement of southern France. The apartment looks out over the main street, just a short walk from everything we needed. Lectoure itself is big enough to have several fine restaurants, while retaining the feel of a quiet French village. We shared the apartment with another couple who are friends of ours, and it provided a comfortable balance of private space and common areas. We enthusiastically recommend both the apartment and the town. M and P Toronto

Superbe appartement face à la cathédrale de Lectoure

Un magnifique et très grand appartement décoré avec beaucoup de goût en plein centre de Lectoure. Un vrai coup de cœur pour cette ville incroyable. L’appartement est à deux pas du meilleur restaurant de la ville et de très bon fromagers, cavistes, primeurs, antiquaires etc etc Nous avons eu du mal à le quitter à la fin de notre court séjour. Chaudement recommandé.

Amazing Place to Stay

This apartment is fantastic. Its style French shabby chic and so well presented. The beds and soft furnishing very comfortable and kitehen so well equiped. Everything worked and the fridge even stocked with some goodies for our arrival. The location is charming set in the center of Lectoure & surrounded by interesting shops. I highly recommend this place and will return.

Extremely pleased with the entire experience .

The apartment in Lectoure is as beautiful as the photos. It is spacious, well appointed and spotless. The host is gracious, welcoming and helpful. Our requests were promptly answered. The location is excellent with easy access to restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay there again.

Highly recommended!

Wonderful appartment - large rooms with all you could need in the kitchen and a huge shower in the bathroom. Was in a great location right in the centre of town with everything you could need on your doorstep. Had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend it.

Excellent Apartment in a great location

We stayed a week in this apartment and throughly enjoyed every aspect. It is spacious and comfortably furnished. The master bedroom has a king size bed. It is in a great location to enjoy Lectoure. Great restaurants and friendly folks everywhere. The apartment is over a wine and cheese shop, bread shops steps away. Beautiful countryside and nice places to visit. Highly recommend.

Nous étions ravis de séjourner dans un si bel espace aux beaux volumes empreints d'histoire. Un appartement chaleureux à la décoration raffinée sans oublier un grand confort (literie, 2 SDB, et tous les accessoires nécessaires à la cuisine). De plus, l'appartement est idéalement situé en plein centre de Lectoure à proximité de commerces et sites remarquables (cathédrale, jardins de l'ancien évêché..)

This a large well presented apartment in the best location in the town of Lectoure

Lectoure is a beautiful very old walled town composed almost entirely of attractive buildings in the local honey coloured limestone. There are no shortage of fine restaurants,bars, boulangeries, patisseries, one chocolate cafe, with many antiques and collectable shops. My favorite bar was just a few doors down from the apartment owned by a lovely, elderly older lady, but the most well known and most popular is opposite the cinema on the main street. The focal point of the town is the old cathedral, a popular tourist attraction and right beside it is the apartment. Emmanuelle has gone to great lengths to create an atmosphere of comfort, while remaining true to the original style of the building. To stay there gives you a feeling of going back in time, while at the same time giving you every comfort. We loved the apartment and the ability to eat out in the evenings, with a bottle of wine and then less than a five minute stroll home.

Two weeks in Lectoure

The apartment was everything we wanted in a rental unit. It was large, the 2 bedrooms were separated by the common rooms so that it was perfect for 2 couples and it was very well equipped, ideally located and the owner Emmanuelle was very pleasant and most helpful..

Appartement extraordinaire, situé à la rue centrale de Lectoure

Notre séjour de deux semaines était absolument merveilleux. L'appartement est très beau, généreux et bien équipé. Spécialement la cuisine avait tout dont on a besoin. Emmanuelle nous a attendu, bien que nous soyons une heure tard, et nous a expliqué tout. C'était toujours facile et agréable d'avoir contact avec elle. L'environnement de l'appartement et très beau - d'une côté on se trouve au milieu d'une ville medieval d'autre côté tout est luxueux. Le Gers était pour nous "terra incognita" et on a appris beaucoup des temps romains, de l'histoire française et de la vie contemporaine. En train de notre séjour les thermes ont ouverts et nous avons saisi l'occasion d'y aller à pied (200 m). Merci pour tout, on essaie de revenir, bien qu'il soit assez loin de Munich.

Charming apartment is a great base for exploring the region

Apartment is well equipped and works perfectly for 2 couples. Host is friendly and helpful. Lectoure is a pleasant town and a good base for exploring the countryside and small towns of the region. Some excellent hikes go right from the town as well. No hesitation in recommending this property.

Outstanding location in Lectoure.

Beautiful property overlooking the cathedral. Fantastic old town with ramparts, bell tower with tremendous views, and an archeological museum with materials pre-dating Roman times. Our landlord was extremely helpful. This apartment is a great place to stay.

Fantastic find in Lectoure if you are interested in character and location

We really enjoyed our stay here - you can't beat the location, the ease of finding, and the character-filled apartment. IF you are someone looking for a corporatey-feeling place, then don't go. If you are looking for charm, a feeling of really living in a local place with amazing light from those windows - then by all means come here. Perfect for ourselves and our adult daughter.

Huge apartment in a lovely town. Perfect

Perfect location, extremely professional service and communication throughout. If you are looking for all the latest gadgets this is not for you but for old fashioned elegant french chic it is just great!
