Acogedor Krimmel Kottage en la hermosa bahía de Mobile se encuentra a 45 minutos de Mobile, Alabama ya una hora de Pensacola, Florida. Se sienta cómodamente en una zona de playa de arena en Mobile Bay que desemboca en el Golfo de México. Great getaway

This was a very nice location beautiful cottage that set nice w the location could have used some yard work and bigger shower but perfect for a family vacation my kids loved it

My trip to do nothing but rest

Being a historical renovation contractor i enjoy my few days here. Property was built in 1952. It has its own character. Enjoyed sitting on deck watching out over the bay. Sunset was outstanding. Nice place to relax. Close to all restaurants and only 25 minutes to Gulf Shores.

Excellent Cottage

This is an excellent property located on the waterfront and close to Fairhope. We were attending a wedding in the town and the cottage has everything one would need. Definitely would recommend.

It was nice but more like a camp than a cottage. The bed could have been more comfortable. There’s no space in the bathroom and the shower is extremely small. But it was spotless and the view is outstanding. I wouldn’t want to stay more than 3 nights though.

Felt like home

We had a wonderful stay. The house was spotless. I love the old world charm. The sunsets were worth every penny. We even got to watch dolphins play.

Wonderful Property and Manager!

Manager is very personable and property is exactly as shown in the listing. Yard could have been better maintained. We have family we come and visit every year and we would definitely stay here again.

Great location, good communication and easy checkin /out. Older charming cottage very quiet and relaxing for our 2 night stay. Mosquitos were out in the evening's so good idea to have some spray. No hot tub/spa so listing amenities may need to be updated.

Unique experience

This was an amazing location with an at home feel. The host was amazing! It is right on water!! It was like going back in time which was a very peaceful experience. It was larger than expected. The bay was very close to the back deck. Thank you for a great time.

Rustic Bayside Cottage

Liked the size of this rustic little diamond in the ruff. It needs a deep cleaning to make it more comfortable. It should be noted that the shower is very small, some adults would not be able to use it. We enjoyed the deck but were uneasy about the landscaping.

Krimmel Kottage is jointly owned by family members, and until last year included our 99-year-old mother who still enjoyed her visits there. You will notice that there is a long farmer's family table on the side porch where 14 people sat to eat breakfast and the evening meal. Lunch was on the run because everyone was scattered either fishing, swimming, or visiting neighbors. We had the opportunity to see many Jubilees while enjoying our summers there. A Jubilee is a phenomenon that occurs only in Mobile Bay and one place in China. Fish come to the shallow water at the shore and on the surface and can be scooped up in nets.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Krimmel Kottage was built in 1952 by my Aunt Gertrude Krimmel and has remained in the family over the years. We spent our childhood swimming and skiing in Mobile Bay and building sandcastles on the beach.
A large wrap-around screen porch was added some years later to enjoy the bay breezes as the house was not air-conditioned. In 2004 we installed windows on the screened porch and purchased the first central heating and cooling system. The cottage is completely remodeled, and we put a deck on the front to continue to enjoy the cool breezes and the beautiful sunsets.

Krimmel Kottage is near the old downtown Fairhope with shopping on Main street, the ice cream parlor, antiques, art galleries, and beautiful flowers. There is a wonderful concrete bike trail that will take you into downtown Fairhope.
It is convenient to Gulf Shores on the Gulf Coast and one hour from 300-year old Mobile, the original home of Mardi Gras in the US.
The breeze from offshore and the sunsets are very relaxing on the deck overlooking Mobile Bay. Listening to the waves rolling ashore gives you a calming and relaxing​ effect.
