Casa adosada familiar de 2 dormitorios + 1 baño (para 5) en Kicking Horse Mtn

Nuestro hogar lejos del hogar es un condominio de 2 dormitorios y 1 baño en Kicking Horse Mountain, Golden. Estás a solo unos pasos de esquiar y esquiar, en una comunidad ubicada en esta increíble estación de esquí, con vistas al valle y a la colina de esquí. Nuestra casa cuenta con una cocina totalmente equipada, baño con bañera, bañera de hidromasaje con servicio regular en la cubierta y dos acogedoras habitaciones. El primer dormitorio tiene una cama queen size, mientras que el segundo dormitorio tiene una cama litera (individual sobre completa).

Hay estacionamiento cubierto en el garaje (para un vehículo) y un porta esquís / tabla para bloquear sus esquís y / o tablas de snowboard en el garaje.

En verano, se encuentra cerca de muchos senderos de ciclismo de montaña de diferentes niveles de dificultad (incluidos los senderos de descenso en el complejo de montaña Kicking Horse) y senderos para caminatas, ríos, lagos de cedro y unos 13 km en coche hasta la ciudad de Golden.
Tenemos una barbacoa en la terraza (todo el año) junto con mesas y asientos para comidas y muebles de salón en la terraza (en verano).

El invierno cuenta con esquí alpino de clase mundial y fácil acceso a recorridos por el campo. El centro nórdico Dawn está a 5 minutos en coche, donde podrá disfrutar de senderos de esquí de fondo bien mantenidos, así como senderos para raquetas de nieve.

Damos la bienvenida a familias, parejas y grupos pequeños. No animales por favor y lo siento (debido a alergias).

Como somos una familia de "guerreros de fin de semana", dejamos parte de nuestra pertenencia privada, como ropa (principalmente en el segundo dormitorio) y algo de comida en los armarios y en la nevera. Nos aseguramos de que el armario y los cajones estén vacíos en el dormitorio de la reina y que haya mucho espacio en los armarios de la cocina, la nevera y el congelador para nuestros huéspedes. Sin embargo, si está considerando reservar y esto es un problema, ¡infórmenos!

Winter Break in Kicking Horse

The property was great. It was clean, cozy and well equipped. Great location - could walk easily to the base of the hill/village. Kids could also easily access the ski-in route so they didn't have to walk or carry their gear to the hill. Would try to rent the same place again if we return.

Family Vacation to Golden

The unit was clean, kitchen was well stocked, the furnishings were comfortable, and we definitely enjoyed using the hot tub and brand new grill on the deck. As for the area, while KHMR was beautiful and had things to do onsite, the drive into town was just long enough to be inconvenient and required a little planning and commitment. Maybe that is the point and I am sure the resort is an ideal location during the skiing season with no need to leave during such a stay. We did venture into town for dinner and groceries, whitewater rafted with Hydra few miles out of town, hiked to the Wapta Falls (again a few miles out of town) and took some other trips with this place as our base of operations. The owners were very responsive before and even during our stay when when an issue came up that needed attention, despite them traveling themselves. We enjoyed our french press coffee in the morning, but do advocate for a coffee maker that can support another 4 adult group staying at the house. All in all it was a great stay and we appreciate the McFayden's sharing their home with us.

Good times at Aspens

Our return trip, after 5 years, to Kicking Horse. More snow on the mountain would have been nice but we enjoyed the skiing and found the chalet very comfortable and conveniently located.

Great location and great hosts!

Perfect location for ski in and ski out. Nice walks through forest to village and Mia was a great host - very kind and helpful! Definitely recommend!

Great place, big hot tub!

Loved the location on the ski hill and near the Kicking Horse base. Great big hot tub. Wifi worked well. Kitchen was stocked with helpful tools and pans. Beds were comfortable. The thermostats in the bedrooms were a bit off (made it 85F when set to 70F) but that was easily fixed. The underground parking was nice to keep the car out of the snow and the cold. Would definitely stay again.

Great place

Perfect spot for 4. Condo is clean, and well appointed. Relatively easy access to the mountain with a short walk to the cat track. Owners were very nice and everything was as described. I would definitely book again.

Great spot

Family of four with two significant teenage kids LOVED the condo; perfect spot for family time; great kitchen; well stocked for the chef to cook anything ; even had basic condiments and spices/herbs to use; short walk to ski down to get ski passes and very short drive to cross country ski - though snow wasn’t great while we were there (true spring conditions), we enjoyed our stay; very comfy couch with great views in all directions to read books in the “off snow times” - hot tub eased sore muscles at the end of each day - you want to stay here!!!!

Great stay, friendly host

We just returned from 5 days at the Aspens. We really enjoyed ourselves and had amazing ski conditions. The location is perfect and our own hot tub was such a bonus. Our host, Mia, was very helpful and great to communicate with. We're already talking about returning next year.

Relaxing family time

Very clean and comfortable stay. Location and views excellent. The family enjoyed many soaks in the private hot tub and lunch at the resort . We also enjoyed many hours at the dock At cedar lake, 10 min drive away. Bring your paddle board or floaties and kids will be entertained for hours. Great day use area for a hot dog roast.

Long weekend getaway

A last minute find for a much needed family getaway. With all the covid stuff happening, we truly got lucky finding this cute little home for our family and friends to stay at. Home was cozy with all that was needed, quite location with beautiful scenery. Was nice having the ground unit and large patio with our babies. Weather was extremely hot but with the fans we brought we managed the house temperature. The hot tub at the end of each night was truly a blessing. Very short walk to the ski hill for delicious breakfast and coffee. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Everything one wished for!

Stayed at this property for our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was perfect! We wanted somewhere to spend some romantic time yet close enough to town to explore during the day. The property owner bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Perfect family getaway

This was a fantastic spot to park our family for a week in Golden. We walked to the resort for some play time most days, and made easy trips to so many local spots, from Cedar Lake to downtown and the farmers market. This house was wonderfully set up for little kids, and there was plenty of space for our family of 5. We had everything we needed. Mia and Jim were great hosts - responding immediately when we called with a quick questions. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

Perfect mountain condo, 2 mnutes from the kicking horse resort

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mia's place. The building is very nice, the condo was spotless, the view was superb, and the area super quiet. The condo is tastefully decorated and stocked with quality cookware, plates and utensils. There is a mtb trail just a few steps from the condo, and we enjoyed the spa after our ride. Mia was very quick to reply whenever we contacted her. This was the perfect place for our stay in Golden. 5 stars!

Comfortable and Relaxing Retreat

We were looking to stay somewhere that we could easily drive into Banff and Lake Louise, without the touristy chaos of those areas. This townhouse was a perfect fit for our family of five. It is six miles up a mountain, in a ski resort. It is very close to the lifts, which is brilliant for the winter months. The townhouse is up one flight of stairs, so there was minimal stair climbing. Everything in the home is warm and welcoming, from the art to the layout. We utilized the outdoor grill, the patio and the jacuzzi every evening. The appliances (including washer/dryer) were user friendly. The cookware was high end and was a dream to cook with. The location was approximately an hour to Lake Louise / Moraine Lake, and an hour and half to Banff. The drive is probably the most stunning drive I have ever been on. There are multiple places to pull off for a picnic / hike / retreat from the busyness of summer crowds in Banff. The owner was responsive and instructions were clear and easy to follow. There was a deposit held at time of booking, in case of any damage to property, and it was refunded promptly after our stay. All in all, I would highly recommend this place, and would love to stay there again, but longer than we stayed!

Great place to stay!

Really convenient, cozy and clean property! The hot tub was wonderful! The property had everything we needed and the owners were wonderful to communicate with. And of course, the views were gorgeous and you could walk to the resort for a fun outing!

Great, relaxing stay

Had a great stay right on the hill at Kicking Horse, very clean and comfortable, great hot tub with great views! All of the amenities we needed, couldn't ask for more. Easy to get to, and easy to access the unit, Mia and family were wonderful hosts!

We are a Canadian-Swedish family of 4 who love to ski, mountain bike, travel and adventure together. We have been spending our winter weekends and most other available weekends year round in Golden since 2012.

We finally bought our 'home away from home' here, our Happy Place, in the fall of 2018.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This area is really hard to beat when it comes to skiing, if you are a hard core ski lover! Before having children we would travel wherever the snow fell. We got to know many mountains in interior BC and Kicking Horse was one of the few where we could see ourselves go all the time once we had a family and those spontaneous, one day (sometimes long) trips, became more difficult. This hill offers so much exciting terrain and ability to do a lot of fun activities and sports. To us it offers the life style we were looking for.

And of course, at any time of the year, these mountains and the valley offer simply amazing views and the spectacular terrain for adventures.

In the summer there are multiple levels of mountain biking trails around, easily accessible from this property.

For any outdoor enthusiast this is simply an amazing place to be!
