The house was amazing! Great views and very clean. However, the amount of times the owners text before my stay was over whelming. If you love information over load about the house you will be staying in, then this shouldn't bother you. For me, it became very frustrating to receive text books, not messages all throughout the day. Even before 7 am on Saturday morning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the New Rollins Lake Retreat, and I can't express how wonderful our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Dennis communicated all the necessary details promptly and even provided us with fantastic recommendations on local dining options and activities to enjoy during our stay.The property itself was just perfect for our getaway. The breathtaking views of the lake were absolutely mesmerizing, making it a truly picturesque setting for relaxation. The house was clean and well-stocked with all the amenities we could possibly need, which made our stay even more enjoyable.One delightful surprise was the thoughtful gesture of finding a bottle of wine and some snacks awaiting us upon our arrival. It was a lovely touch that added to the welcoming atmosphere. Furthermore, the kitchen was equipped with everything necessary for preparing meals, which was a significant advantage for us. We appreciated the abundance of kitchen supplies that allowed us to whip up our favorite dishes seamlessly.For families traveling with children, I can't emphasize enough how great it was to find a selection of toys available for the kids. It was a big bonus that kept our little ones entertained and added to the overall enjoyment of our stay.

Lake Rollins Gem!

We absolutely loved this vacation home. The million dollar view spoke for itself, overlooking the lake. Clean, comfortable, and had every amenity needed to host Thanksgiving for our family. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone staying in the Nevada City/Grass Valley.area!

Beautiful View of Rollins Lake

What a view! Each morning was glorious waking up to such a beautiful view of Rollins Lake. Such a great location nestled in a lovely woodsy area about 15-20 minutes from old town Grass Valley. We enjoyed our stay - the house was well appointed and clean and comfortable. We’ll be back!

This was an amazing split level property. The views were awesome, and just a small walk down to the lake. My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay and will be back. the owner was responsive and answered any questions I had. Truly amazing!

Beautiful home with breathtaking views

We had a wonderful stay at the Rollins lake retreat. The house is very well designed making the most of the stunning view. There are decks and patios at every turn really bringing the outside in. The kitchen is well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. The eating area is designed for 6 so when we had my in-laws over for dinner we had to break it up a little, the upstairs deck made the perfect additional dining spot. We sipped coffee & watched the sunrise over the lake from the main bedroom’s deck. The en-suite is gorgeous with a huge shower. The backyard has a nice shady area and grass to hang out and play games. There is a path to the lake. It’s not far but a bit of a hike and was a little tough for the grandparents. The path splits off in two directions, the path to the beach was blocked by a downed tree but we were able to easily follow the rocky shoreline from the jetty, just make sure to wear sturdy shoes. My floppy sandals weren’t the best choice the first day. The water was glorious. We brought a blow up kayak and paddle board and had a great time. There are also kayaks at the house you can rent. The owners are very organized and respond quickly. Dennis sent a bunch of texts to acquaint us with the house. In the flurry of my daughter’s graduation I wasn’t able to appreciate them until I got there and then found the how-to videos very helpful. The patio door handles are not intuitive but quite ingenious. We were all so happy with this property!

So much better than photos show!

The only reason I gave one star less in accuracy is because the photos don’t do the house and location justice! It was an extremely nice home with lots of space and beautiful views. The trails for walking around the lake were so relaxing with the sounds of the birds. Easy access to Grass Valley and Nevada City. Treasure of a winery that Dennis recommended. Would stay again happily.

Spectacular stay and experience in the CA Sierras.

This beautiful home with a setting right out of a postcard was nothing short of spectacular! exceeded all my expectations. Everything was in top order that helped provide a world class experience. Dennis and Linda, both made us feel welcome in their magnificent home. Dennis provided excellent detailed communication both in writing and via video on the operation of the home. I honestly felt like I already knew the place before arriving. I recommend reading their family story memorialized in the guest book, very touching and quite romantic. Thank you both. I will definitely be returning! Cheers"

Lake view stay

The property was gorgeous. The house was large enough for my family. My favorite part was waking up to the sun rise and view of the gorgeous lake. My kids enjoyed walking down to the lake and taking in the gorgeous views as well as the walk around the lake.

Good stay overall!

Property was nice and nice views but found the owners little too interfering. Felt I was monitored 24/7, cameras in each room, constant messages were a little too much. My idea of vacation is totally relax without interference. Too high cleaning fee already and was asked to pay extra for a spot left over. What is $500 cleaning for anyway then?

Fantastic Family Fun!!!

We took our three kids (11, 9, 6) for 3 nights and it was perfection. The home is absolutely stunning and very modern. The walk to the lake was only about 4 minutes so it was easy to take all the toys and chairs and cooler down in a few short trips. The lake water temp was ideal and allowed us to spend whole days hanging out there. Dennis made everything super easy to understand about the home and was very accommodating. My kids are asking when we'll be going back :)

Best Equipped Place EVER

This house is ideal for three couples - easy to relax into! The kitchen and bathrooms are very well equipped and supplied with good quality products. Beautiful views over the lake and a peaceful yard surrounded by flowers and shade trees complete the package. We were there for 4 nights and hosted family members who live locally for two dinners and there was enough tableware for all and space to sit in various smaller groups. Perfect.

The best hosts ever

We were so excited about staying at this beautiful property. We have stayed at a number of Vbro properties as a family and have had various experiences with hosts. I must say that the hosts were absolutely awesome. We were so well prepared for our stay, with very detailed and helpful information in advance--above and beyond what I have experienced in the past. Communication and supports were excellent. We will be back!!

Beautifully designed retreat

Our family spent Thanksgiving at this lovely home. The views are gorgeous and the walking/hiking trails are easily accessible. We enjoyed the early morning quiet out on the master suite deck. It is a well-stocked home, as we decided to cook all our meals, and found adequate spices and condiments available. If your party has older kids or teens, the first floor area provides its own “living space” with bedrooms, bath, and main living area with a TV. This makes it nice for the adults to enjoy alone time upstairs with friends or family; nice, large TV there also. This home was more than we expected and will surely visit again!

Beautiful lake view

This house is very clean and looks newly build. It has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The furniture and bedding was very comfortable. It has an amazing view overlooking Rollins lake. We really enjoyed our morning coffee watching the sunrise over the lake from the balcony. I also recommend bringing your kayak or renting them from Dennis. It's a calm and beautiful lake to go kayaking. Dennis's communications was excellent. He inform us everything about the property and what to expect. So there was no surprises when we got there. We would definitely make another trip back to get away from the city life.

Relaxing friends getaway

We absolutely loved the spaciousness of the house for a group of friends. The view of the lake and trees was beautiful. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen for cooking meals. The beds were comfy and the house was really clean! We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and being near Nevada city. It was such a lovely stay, we didn’t want to leave. The host was very helpful, communicative, and provided everything we needed for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful home

The home is beautiful, lots of light and lots of space. The owners are very clear about all of the various details in the house (clearly outlined in printed book in house) and are very responsive to communication. House is in a nice, quiet & peaceful area with lovely view of lake (sunrise on lake was stunning).
