Allá arriba, en el jardín, hay una villa ahogada en una exuberante vegetación frente al Mar Caribe.
La villa está ubicada en las alturas de Deshaies, en el sector LaHaut, rue des abeilles. Es un lugar tranquilo y pacífico donde contemplar el horizonte le permite escapar y relajarse en el campo. Debido a su ubicación geográfica, los vientos alisios (vientos del este) barren la villa en busca de ventilación natural.
Adornado con un jardín criollo, puede pasear para descubrir las plantas y los árboles frutales de las Indias Occidentales. Para su paladar, la fruta de temporada se recogerá y se presentará en una cesta a su llegada.
Cerca del mar, encontrarás la bahía Deshaies, la playa Grande Anse y el pueblo donde se encuentran restaurantes y tiendas.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is very well located — just a short walk to the supermarket and only a 5-minute drive to some of the best beaches in the area. The hosts were the most gracious and friendly people we could have hoped for, making us feel welcome right from the start. The villa was spotlessly clean, with a fantastic view to enjoy throughout our stay. A very nice touch was the fresh fruit, a delicious planter punch, refreshing goyave juice, and even a beautiful flower arrangement waiting for us upon arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place!

Wonderful house looking out to sea

Perched on the side of a hill, the house has an amazing view above Deshaies, looking onto the ocean and the forested hills. The house is very spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and gave us all the info we needed and her lovely mother was there to welcome us when we arrived. If we ever get the chance to come back to Guadeloupe, I would love to stay there again. Merci!

Beautiful Home with spectacular view!

We were lucky to stay in this beautiful home for a whole month and wake up each day to the beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea and the harbor of Deshaies. We loved the big veranda and that is where we spent most of our time. There is always a breeze in the tropics to keep you cool. The house has all the modern convieniences and the bedrooms are quiet and private. There is one shared bath for two of the rooms but the toilet is separate which helps to share. Emily and her Dad were wonderful hosts and provided us with everything we needed. We will definitely return to this lovely house. There was construction next door but they quit by 2 pm everyday and we were often out and about so it was not too much of a bother. The road is far enough away that you don't hear it. The bedrooms are air conditioned, if you like it quiet at night that helps. The kitchen was well equipped. You do need buy or boil water to drink.

Très belle location avec vue magnifique

La maison sur les hauteurs de Deshaies, très bien équipée, offre une vue sur magnifique sur la mer et les couchés de soleil inoubliables. La terrasse est grande et confortable.Chaque chambre est équipée d'une clim et d'un ventilateur au plafond. Le grand séjour a un ventilateur au plafond.L'accès est aisé et le parking facile d'accès. Deshaies est à 10 minutes à pied. Bref un endroit que nous vous conseillons et où nous reviendrons.

Un très bon séjour

Logement bien localisé, confortable avec tout l'équipement nécessaire, spacieux pour 4 personnes, la vue est magnifique.Émilie et sa maman sont très gentilles et disponibles.Sachez néanmoins que vous n'aurez pas accès à l'ensemble de la maison, il y a un studio au rez de chaussée qui est en partie occupé par la maman. Nous aurions aimé que ce soit précisé dans l'annonce.

Une magnifique villa et de biens sympathiques propriétaires

Cette superbe villa, très propre et confortable, nous a particulièrement séduit pour son agréable et très spacieux carbet avec ses fauteuils, sa grande table et son hamac. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le succulent punch coco de monsieur Berthelot. Et un tout grand merci à madame Berthelot pour sa grande gentillesse, sa flexibilité et l'attention qu'elle a apportée à notre séjour.

good location, nice view, accommodation could be better

The house is located on a hill and facing the Caribbean Sea which allows a nice view of the Deshaies harbor. It is 3 min drive from village center (difficult to walk because the hill is very steep) where the restaurants and food stores are, 7 min drive to Grand Anse beach, and 15 min drive to Perle beach. We felt the area was very safe. The house and the garden are very clean and well maintained. Large parking space (2 - 3 cars) and easy driveway access. The kitchen is well equipped having all modern appliances. Excellent veranda for eating and/or spending time. Emily was responsive to our inquires, arranging for dinner for the day we came and providing info about the surroundings. However, there are few important drawbacks which makes me to drop two stars: - all three beds/mattresses had to be replaced long time ago: the mattress supports are very thin/flimsy and in time the mattress developed a depth in the middle; for one person it might be ok but for two people the sleep is very uncomfortable; - the hot water reservoir does not have the capacity for 6 people (as perhaps in all Guadeloupe, there is no boiler, water is heated by the sun); - the drainage of the shower adjacent to the master bedroom partially clogged - no beach towels provided. .

Wonderful view - open beautiful home close to everything

This was our favorite place to stay in Guadeloupe. It is walking distance to the town of Deshaies ( down hill) and very close to best beach- grand Anse- grocery store, super pizza - just at bottom of hill- and perfectly perched so you can see the bay and sunsets. In a quiet neighborhood- except for that rooster... we got fish locally and cooked dinner because the kitchen was big and fully equipped. Three large bedrooms with great windows for cross breezes. Clean and decorated nicely... we truly didn’t want to leave. Also- Emilie was very helpful and responded to all my emails- unfortunately we have limited French so her assistance in English was appreciated. You do need a car but could limit your need to drive much by staying here. We loved the area and went to the garden, hiked, and visited many beaches (Bouillante- super stop to see many fish and hot water from mountain and bubbles; great little lunch spot on beach too) ....last tip-make reservations for dinner!

Tres belle maison, tres bien située !

Émilie nous a aceuilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse. La maison est spacieuse, avec tout le confort nécessaire et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. La vie sur la mer depuis La terrasse est magnifique et la situation a quelques Minutes du centre de Deshaies en voiture est idéale. Je recommence ce gite!

Beautiful spacious home with great view of Deshaies Bay

This home was everything you could want. It was spacious, modern, and has a wonderful veranda to sit on in the late afternoon with a drink or sleep in the hammock. The kitchen is equipped like a gourmet chef's kitchen. Emilie is a wonderful host was responsive to all our needs. It is a short distance from the center of town. You can walk if you want but easy drive and takes 1 minute down the hill. Would go back in a heart beat!

A great view of Deshaies

When we arrived, the owner's parents greeted us on the balcony with homemade coco-rum punch and showed us a tour of the house. They had also had homemade guava juice from the garden just outside the home. We have stayed on beach-facing homes before (most recently Martinique), and wanted to experience a mountain home instead so we booked this home in Deshaies and were not disappointed. The view at night is incredible and you get some good sunsets. They kitchen is fully stocked and the dining table on the balcony makes a great place to entertain and have dinner. We had virtually no bugs our entire stay since there is no standing fresh water on the side of the hill, and at night we got cool breezes coming from the ocean up the hillside. All of the bedrooms had air conditioning, and the house is very up to date and well maintained. If you're visiting Guadeloupe for the first time, Basse Terre is the best island to stay on, and this area is among the best to reach all that it has to offer. Make sure you visit the capital Basse Terre on the southeast side of Basse Terre island, make sure you visit Chutes du Carbet near cap esterre. Make sure you also visit a rum distillery; we did Longeteau but there is also a very famous one in the city Basse Terre called Bologne. We will be back to this house - the owner was very responsive friendly - just the kind of Caribbean hospitality I've come to love from the FWI!

Une superbe maison dans un quartier calme avec une belle vue

La maison est située dans les hauts de Deshaies, ce qui permet d avoir une belle vue. Maison spacieuse , terrasse agréable .un super accueil avec tout le nécessaire fourni pour le premier jour (sucre/café/huile/vinaigre) etc Bonne wifi ( très important pour les ados !) Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Deshaie est un très bon site de plongée et un très joli bourg au bord de la mer.

Spacieuse Villa à Deshaies

Emilie et sa maman mettent tout en oeuvre pour que votre séjour se passe le mieux possible : explications pour trouver le chemin de la Villa, flexibilité dans les horaires, accueil avec un rhum arrangé maison et une corbeille de fruits...et plein d'autres petits gestes très agréables. La villa est comme sur les photos et d'une propreté irréprochable. La vue est superbe et la terrasse très agréable car sous les alizés. Du terrassement est en cours sur le terrain situé à côté mais il n'y a pas eu de travaux pendant notre séjour. Seul petit point négatif, de la terrasse nous entendons le bruit de la route principale (et passante) en contrebas. Sensation accentuée car nous arrivions de Marie Galante et nous nous étions habitué à ne rien entendre. Je recommande la Villa.

La villa correspondait exactement à la description faite sur le site.cette villa et idéalement situé et très fonctionnelle .un plus non négligeable:l'accueil charmant de la propriétaire avec un cadeau à l'arrivée comme au départ.nous recommandons cette location sans hésiter et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.
