Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was comfortable and secluded. We cooked every supper at the house and sat on the patio and enjoyed the scenery and the hot tub.

We live in Denver and really enjoy getting a comfortable mountain home whenever family visits. I was over the moon about this place - it shows really well and looks ultra cozy. It was absolutely as pretty as it looks! Accessible! However, it was GOOD, not GREAT (esp for the price) :Lots of small things really added up over our visit:* The couch was squishy and slouchy and required constant adjusting. * The beds were four feet high, but they give you plenty of stepstools to get in and out of bed. * They require you to strip the beds into laundry hampers. (There weren't any hampers tho)* There are a lot of instructions about the towels and heaters and heavy warnings about misuse. We REALLY read the instructions and tried to get everything right. - several thermostats and other bits to adjust and monitor, but they claimed there was a misplaced towel near a heater anyway. * Also each time come and go - the shades!! They're beautiful and of course you want them open all the time, but you have to close them at night and when you leave. They arent on a simple pull chain - they are on a crank knob like a kite. I counted over 60 twists at EACH of the four shades. Every time you come and every time you go.* I also don't understand why there is a requirement to shovel the back deck each morning. * The straw that really did it was the requirement to haul away the trash - It's not like a handy little dumpster around the corner... it's a mile away in their mountain community.

Hi Jody, I wanted to reply after seeing your recent review and comments about my home. I have to be honest—I’m not quite sure how to respond, given the situation that occurred during your stay. When towels were left on top of the electric baseboard heater in the laundry room, it created a serious safety risk that could have resulted in significant damage, or worse. In fact, I had to file and claim to replace the heater and carpet, and it took over two weeks to finally get the burning smell out of the house. I want to gently remind you that every short-term rental property has its own set of instructions, and each one is unique in its own way. That’s part of what makes these experiences special for both guests and hosts. Clear communication and following guidelines are so important to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

Perfect family eacape

We truly enjoyed our stay at the chalet. The location was perfect for our plans to enjoy the mountains, while being close to shops and restaurants. The views were great and we especially enjoyed the hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. We would stay here again!

Quiet with outstanding views

We stayed here in July. The weather was perfect. Location is very quiet and peaceful, but still very close to shopping. The views are outstanding. We would stay here again.

Perfect family mountain getaway!

We loved our time at the Winter Park Chalet! Perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. Great place for skiing with the family

My boys and I really enjoyed our week in the rental. The owners were responsive and understanding when we accidentally took one of the power cords (long story). A great quiet place with awesome neighbors. I highly recommend this for a great getaway when visiting winter park.

Fabulous!

The location was close to wonderful hikes (recommend monarch lake to cascade falls and east inlet). It was in a quite area with distant neighbors and a pair of local moose. The night sky from the hot tub was incredible-shooting stars and a lightening show on the distant ridge.

Amazing views + seclusion

Loved our stay with our children! So much to do in the area + gorgeous property. ( updated + clean + AMAZING sunrise and sunset Winter Park Mountain View). The hottub on the deck overlooking the mountains and beautiful wooded property in a safe mountain neighborhood was perfection. The owners will very communicative, friendly and responsive to all of our needs. We will be back!

Wonderful mountain home!

We loved staying in this mountain home! BEAUTIFUL views from the huge deck! The house was very clean and we could tell renovations were recently done (tastefully decorated as well). Only a 5 minute drive from the house to the highway. Lots of restaurant options in Winter Park, Fraser and Grandby. The owner was very nice. Highly recommend this home for your next vacation!

Magical Christmas @ the Chalet

Our stay was wonderful. The chalet had everything we needed plus games too! It was so nice and cozy and extremely clean! Decorated beautifully. So close to everything we wanted to do but we definitely had privacy like we were the only cabin around. We loved the hot tub and the couch was super cozy! The cabinets were stocked so well. We will absolutely book here again! The owners were super friendly and quick to communicate with.

Spacious and Private.

Stayed at this property near Grandby, CO for 4 days and was a great place to stay. Very spacious for our group of 3 but could fit 6-8 comfortable. Has a huge deck and equally as big hot tub that worked perfect with an amazing view. This place is located in a private neighborhood right outside of town but only 10 min to local food, gas & shopping so not to far from supplies. Only a 1hr 30 from Denver with a great drive with great views and trails near by. Thank you for a great Place

The quiet side

Well stocked and very comfortable with views of the mountains. Was put off by the security cameras, therefore we did not use the hot tub. The main reason we selected this property was to see the night sky, which was difficult when the outdoor lights kept coming on. Otherwise, a delightful stay.

Hi Anna, thank you the review! The sensor light only turn for 5 minutes if you are using the far right side of the deck and when using the grill and it shouldn't turn on when you are on the left side of the deck when using Hottub. Thank you letting me know and I will adjust the sensor accordingly. As far as the camera on the deck, it's only on when there are no guests at the house for weather monitoring reasons. I wish you contacting me to be able address your concerns during your stay.

Family Christmas/ New Years

This property fit our family nicely. We had 7 adults and 2 little ones 2 yrs old and under. The kitchen had mostly what we needed to cook meals and to clean. The beds were really comfortable. The scenery was very beautiful and a family of deer would visit everyday and were not too scared of you. There were a lot of food options and shopping and activities near by in Fraser, Granby and Winter Park. Safeway is in Fraser for all your food needs. The older kids enjoyed the hot tub, especially the day after skiing!

We always had the dream of having a mountain home, and in Jan 2019, that dream came true. We enjoy it during the weekend with our little puppy "Piper", who loves the outdoors as much as we do. Piper has a few dog friends who like to come by on the upper deck to play. So, don't be alarmed if you see any of her friends. They are all friendly and will behave.

2 acres of private land/ forest. Amazing views from all rooms and especially from the decks. Nothing more satisfying than having coffee or wine in the hot tub in the morning or evening after a great day on the slopes or any outdoor activities. If you love nature, seeing wild animals, and listening to the sounds of birds, this is the place to be.
