La unidad de arriba de un dúplex espectacular. 2017 piscina climatizada en el suelo con leni! (compartido con Salty Dog on the Rocks) Renovado en 2017, excelente plano de planta de espacio abierto con 2 dormitorios y un altillo para niños con 2 literas incorporadas. La cocina tiene todo lo que necesitas para tu semana en la playa con desayunador con 4 taburetes y mesa de comedor para 8 personas. Un montón de asientos en la sala de estar y una mesa de juego para los niños.
La cubierta es mitad cubierta y mitad cubierta de sol abierta. El área protegida tiene una mesa de comedor, un lugar maravilloso para tomar un café por la mañana o cócteles por la tarde.
El dormitorio principal tiene una cama king, baño privado con ducha grande. El dormitorio de la reina también incluye literas y se abre al salón de baño completo.

Perfect for us!

We loved this house! Matt was great and answered any questions right away. No issues at all. We will be back! The beach access is private and not crowded at all. Sea turtle nest near the house. We saw dolphins and had plenty of waves

Spring break 2023

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house has everything we needed. The pool was nice to relax by when we needed a switch from the beach. Views with morning coffee were perfect. Everyone enjoyed their stay here.

Fantastic Beach Escape

This was a great place for a quiet beach getaway without the hustle of a typical beach town. The unit was clean and had fantastic views of the beach, which was just steps from the front door. The fact that it was so dog friendly (food/water bowls and treats provided) was a big plus. We would stay here again.

Slatydog Straight Up

The stay was amazing, this was our 2nd stay and cant wait to plan another trip. This is the go to rental. 2nd row directly across frim beach access and as always amazing views.

Salty dog family spring break

This location is perfect. Extremely easy and close beach access. Matt was a great communicator. We rented out top and bottom units, my parents stayed in bottom and my family of five stayed in the top unit. My kids loved the pool!

Great place and location

I think we have found our family vacation spot. Everything was great with no issues. Quiet location and close enough to surrounding areas to keep kids happy and adults. We had 11 people with us and had plenty of room for everyone. We did rent both top and bottom but spent family time up top with plenty of room without being on top of each other. The beach was great and clean and the weather cooperated with us. Would definitely recommend this location for quiet family time.

The living/ kithchen area was large and open. The home is well appointed and very clean. The only problem was that The hall bath shower didn't work properly. The outlets didn't work in either bathroom. I would stay here again.

Fall break get away

We were there for a long weekend. The house was clean and looked just as the pictures showed. The short walk to the beach was easy and the view from the house was beautiful. My kids loved having the pool and they loved the nook upstairs. Overall our trip was great. The only suggestion I would have is to have more hooks for towels. There wasn’t really anywhere to hang towels to dry.

Lovely area and home

My husband and one of my adult kids came for a long weekend. This was our first time in St. Port Joe and we had a great time. The rental was well appointed, clean, and quiet. The house does have two rental locations, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs unit was not occupied while we were there. Access to the beach is a breeze, just walk out and follow the boardwalk. The pool was very refreshing to hop in after a hot day on the beach. Great food at Hunt's and we cooked seafood from the local fish market a few evenings. Check in and out process was a breeze and owner communicated promptly to any message that was sent before and during our stay. A++

peaceful and relaxing

we had an amazing, relaxing week at Salty Dog Straight up. Matt and Debbie are amazing and made my husband, 6 boys, our dog Ollie and myself feel like family. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. I often walked to the grill and found my boys sharing fish tales with them by the pool. when you walk across the sandy beach path and look from side to side, the view is breathtaking: beautiful wide sandy beaches lined with shells and gentle waves. we also enjoyed S'mores one night in the fire pit. One of my favorite vacations ever, and we hope to return next year minus Covid-19 when we can explore more local restaurants and the towns of Cape San Blas and Port St Joe

Perfect property for a family with teens

This house was fantastic. The interior was well kept and had plenty of room for our family of five( three teenagers). The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and that was important because we cooked seafood every night we were there (shrimp, oysters, crab, fish). The amenities were well thought out. (Pool, grill, cornhole, fire pit, beach toys). The beach access was so convenient that it was easy just to pop back home for lunch and return to the beach. Plus we took a sunset walk to throw the football every night. It was a quiet beach with very few people and we loved that. Our dogs were very happy to be included and it is clear from the way the property is set up that it is a dog friendly place to be. Matthew was so helpful and friendly. We hope to return again in the future.

Wonderful!

This was our first visit to Port St. Joe. We picked this area because of dog friendly beaches. We have a Bichon and it was his first trip to the beach and he LOVED it! As far as the property goes it was great! Very very clean! I'm a clean freak so this was so important to me. The location is awesome! Having the access to the beach right there was so ideal. It cut down on extra walking with chairs, umbrellas and all the things you lug to the beach. When I rented this property originally I didn't realize there were two units and originally booked the downstairs unit not realizing there was an upstairs unit. I cancelled that and rebooked the upstairs for the view and to stay away from the bugs. The only downside to upstairs is the stairs but I figured I got some excersize! I would choose upstairs again. There were people in the lower unit for the first two nights but we really didn't run across them much and never had to share the pool. The two remaining nights we had the place to ourselves. Having the pool was wonderful. The outdoor shower was also great. Hot and cold water was great for rinsing off the dog. There were no cleaning supplies. If you like to clean up your mess from cooking and such bring your own multisurface cleaner as well as extra paper towels, toilet paper, trashbags and ziplocks. There is almost no cell service here. I was able to get one call out sitting on the screened on the screened in porch but don't count on it. Service in town is a little better. Great town, grocery store is 15 min away. Triple Tails resteraunt was great and close. We went to Indian Pass Oyster Bar a couple of times because everyone raved about it. They were rude and menu is very limited. Wasn't impressed with that place. Killer Seafood in Mexico Beach was awesome if you drive out there. Very nice people and great food and service! We highly recommend this rental! Great price, location and super clean and newly renovated! Excellent!

Will not return

When my family of 4 arrived at property cigarettes were on table. The pool has a 200$ charge that was no where in description and to heat pool where most of the others in the area tell you before you rent for a fee pool can be heated. Air unit did not work, everyday it was 80-85 in rental. I spoke to other people renting in the lower duplex and their air worked thank goodness. We have been to this area many times and are coming back in June but will never stay at this property again. Also has roaches and really kind of a tough break for a family wanting to have a vacation for Thanksgiving.

Much needed disconnect!

It's a really nice place to stay. Can't beat the distance to the beach from the house. The house is super clean, With a nice view to the beach. The owners are super nice people and they live in the shack out back and they are always ready to answer any questions you may have or suggest places to go. The town of Port St Joe is a Mecca for local music and the food is out of this world! Anything you could want is here except for the beach crowd and commercialism you find in other places. This is your getaway! Everyone I met here is in vacation-mode friendly. It all makes for a stress-free getaway Next time I'm here this is where I'll be staying.

Simply Amazing!

Our experience with this property was nothing short of amazing and one of the best we’ve had in the area! We throughly enjoyed ourselves and couldn’t have asked for a better host! Matt was super accommodating and friendly the whole time. He also has a super cute pup named Chance that was very friendly even to our pups! The house is a short walk to the beach and directly across from the beach access boardwalk! We loved that the area was a private beach. It allowed for us to have plenty of space on the beach for us, the baby, and our pups! It’s also located within 5-15 minutes of great local restaurants. The house itself is simply amazing. The views are perfect and the porches allowed us to have meals, coffee, and drinks outside while enjoying the ocean and sounds of the waves. The beds were some of the best we’ve slept in while not in our own beds at our home. All the towels and linens were clean are ready for us to use. They even gave us a salty dog beach towel which I thought was a neat keepsake for the trip. The kitchen was well stocked (the best stocked kitchen we’ve experienced) with plenty of cookware, plates, cups, and silverware. The fridge was a good size and kept everything nice and cold! The outside of the house had lots of activities to keep us entertained, between the cornhole boards, Bimini ring game, fire pit, and the swimming pool, we had more than enough to keep us entertained. Several areas including the pool were screened in which helped when the flies on the beach were bad and allowed us to still enjoy the outside without getting attacked by bugs! We enjoyed the grill on two nights! He has both a gas and charcoal grill available to use. My husbands favorite was the outdoor shower and dog washing stations. He loved getting to be able to come back from the beach and get straight into the shower outside and was our dogs off quickly. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Quiet

Close and easy access to the beach. Plenty of bait fish and small sharks to catch! 2 +/- miles of visible beach, and the most people we ever seen on it was 20 +/-(my kind if place). Plenty of outside hoses, loved the fish cleaning table. House was clean and cozy. Bed was meh at best, but we slept fine. 5/5, would stay again

Wonderful

We enjoyed the stay and we had room for 9 adults. Some slept on couch and others shared the room with bunk beds. Overall was good! We plan on coming back! 😊

Salty Dog

A very short walk to the beach. We had the beach to our selves. Cute little town and shops. Amenities were great when the ocean wasn't a option. Well definitely stay again.

Perfect little spot, couldn’t have picked a better place

Loved staying here!! It was so peaceful and relaxing. Matt & Debbie were great hosts, especially for suggesting Joe Mommas Pizza. The house was perfect (although limited cabinet space in kitchen for groceries but stocked piled of anything you need to cook!) The kids loved the pool day and night! I wanted to take the kayaks out but didn’t feel like dragging them all the way there. Took the family on a horseback ride on the beach, highly highly recommend Rockin M Ranch. Hope we get to travel and stay again!!!!
