Great accomadations!

My cousins and I stayed here for a reunion. We loved it! Well equipped and very comfortable for us! We enjoyed the beach, pool, hot tub and the awesome restaurants around the island! Will definitely stay here again! Excellent location and wonderful condo!

Wonderful stay at Island Club

We had a wonderful stay at Island Club again this year. We love the location in the Folly Field area and the private beach access is amazing. We enjoyed the tennis courts, pool, hot tub and basketball court. We’ve stayed here multiple times and really enjoy it! The unit works perfectly for our family of 4. We will return!

Will be back!

We go visit my aunt & uncle in HH every year, they live close to this unit so it worked out perfect! I loved this unit, the seating in the living room, the cleanliness, the amenities, I highly recommend this place! I will definitely be looking for this place everything we go out to HH! Thank you for a wonderful experience with the perfect unit for me, my husband and my dad!!! Everyone at island club was so nice and friendly!!! The balcony view and you aren’t too far from the beach!!! Thank you again!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Tired

This unit is on the second floor and does not have an elevator. The bedrooms are on the second floor as well. It is in great need of updates. Close to pool but a ways from the ocean.

Not what we hoped for

It started with the package of keys that were left for us in the little box. We went to unlock the unit – and neither key worked. After locating the only human we could find on the property on Sunday afternoon – the security guard – he said he would go check in the office for another key, but he had no idea how long it would take. Thankfully, he was able to get us the right keys pretty quickly. We were then very disappointed to see that the dishwasher door was broken and we could not use it. We then also were very surprised all the downstairs doors were locked, expecting that we would have access to a bathroom. After calling maintenance about the dishwasher, we decided to break into one of the downstairs doors and indeed found a bathroom. Not sure why housecleaning had locked it… But we spent the first day without access to that bathroom. The kitchen plates and cups didn’t match and we couldn’t even find for matching glasses to have dinner. The bottom drawer below the oven kept coming off the grid and was very difficult to get back. I called and asked for another set of sheets since there were none for the fold out couch, and they said they would bring them. But they never did. The pool was very tiny and super crowded. At least it was accurate that it was a short walk to the beach from the unit. This was not what we hoped for – and we will not be back to this unit or use this rental company again. As we arrived on a Sunday, you really need to have capable staff on site to handle guests that day or after hours.

Beautiful spot, well worn accommodations

We love this spot for our writing retreats. Good space for work, sound of the fountain in the lagoon. Kitchen equipment is limited and the furnishings are a bit worn.

Great Location, Comfortable Condo

As owners of a nearby condo, we greatly enjoyed having extended family close by in a similar apartment. Beds are good, sheets and towels just fine, kitchen adequate, living room comfortable for games and TV. While a few pods of laundry and dishwasher detergent and dishwashing soap and sponge are included, surprisingly you'll need to bring your own salt & pepper, as well as coffee/milk/sweetener. Kitchen is well-equipped otherwise. Bring your own beach towels and equipment.

Holiday getaway

Unit was spacious and well stocked. Carpeting needs to be replaced and bathrooms need updating too. Great location near the beach - grounds are well maintained. We enjoyed the tennis facilities- they were excellent. Unit didn’t have a key pad entry and it was a pain always having to keep track of keys.

Great stay in Hilton Head!

We had a wonderful stay in Hilton Head at Island Club! We enjoy the location of the Folly Field area, the tennis courts, the pool, and having our own beach access! Lots of great biking/walking trails nearby. The wi-fi needs a little work (basically didn’t work and with young adult children, it’s a bigger issue). The beds in the second bedroom were twin size and not full size. Overall had a wonderful time and will be back!

Unit 113

This unit is in need of an update. When we checked into the unit there were ants in the kitchen, jelly on the wall above the trash can. one of the pans still had grease in it. The floors were clean in the center, but the corners were still dirty. Someone set the temp control in the refrigerator at the lowest setting and we lost veggie and other items to freezing. The carpet was badly soiled in several spots on the steps and in the bedrooms. The balcony on the front was dirty and the chairs needed replaced. The bathtub drains were clogged and drained very slowly. We would have left immediately if we had not already paid for the week. The on line pictures look great, but when you see it live, you will be disappointed. The grounds are well kept and the scenery is excellent. We have stayed at the Island Club about 25 time in the last 30 years and this was the worst experience we've had.

Dirty Villa and inaccurate bedroom description

We made a last minute decision to take a trip to HHI. We narrowed down our choices to just a couple Villas. The girls picked the one we did because the bedroom description said 1 twin, 1 double, and a sleeper sofa. They figured they could all sleep in the same room that way. When we got there. The girls room had 2 twin beds and a sleeper sofa that needs a new mattress. Even with the sheets that were provided there was no way these girls were will to lay on that bed. It was in terrible shape full of stains. Before we unpacked I checked the VRBO site again to make sure I hadn't read it wrong. At that point it said there were 2 double beds in the room. I now believe they have a standard description they put on the rooms and aren't concerned about the accuracy. The girls found food on the floor in their room as they were unpacking and settling in. We found an empty TP roll on the floor near the bed along with other misc pieces of trash in the master bedroom. The main floor appeared clean until we decided to use the glasses. I took a glass out of the cupboard and there was food on the outside, my husband took another glass out and there was pop dried inside. To be safe, we loaded the dishwasher and washed everything we thought we might use, and in turn only used those items. Also, the light over the dining room table could not be turned on. There was no switch for it and it had a bulb broken off inside it. So while there was a table for six we didn't use it much as there wasn't good lighting. The screen doors were pretty useless, hard to open/close and falling off the track. Lastly, the website said heated pool, the pool is not heated. There is a list of rules you're all to follow for pool etiquette and social distancing. However, it's left up to the guests to enforce it for everyone. The location was nice and the beach was awesome but the Villa itself could use a cleaning staff that cares a bit more along with updated and accurate web descriptions.

Easy to find and access to resort. Staff was friendly and helpful. Walk to beach was very short and nice. Condo was clean and offered everything you would need.

Loved it!

Very nice condo, everything we needed was there and just short walk to the beach! Tennis courts and pool were right next to the condo. The people were super friendly. Great place for families, couples without kids or just anyone who wants a little time away. It was relaxing, quite and peaceful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning!!

Casual and comfortable

This villa overlooks the lagoon on 2nd floor. About a 5 minute walk to beach and 2 minutes to pool. There is a 1/2 bath on the main level. Two BR on the upper level each with own full bath. King in one room and two twins in the other. There is also a single pull out bed in twin room though the mattress is really stained. The couch on the main also pulls out. Not comfy but adequate. The kitchen is well equipped and I liked having laundry available. Decor and furnishings are a little dated but completely fine. The pool, playground and other amenities are kept up well. The beach is excellent. Very nice option for families.

Dirty and lights didn’t work

House was dirty/ sheets and bedding were very poor quality. Most of the lights didn’t work, including lights to upstairs. Light switches didn’t work and lamps would not turn on. Did not try to resolve with property manager because we spent most of our time on the beach for at another family members condo.

Enjoyable Stay

We had a fun and relaxing weekend at the Island Club. This is the second time we have stayed there and really love it! The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the walking paths through the grounds are great! The beach was just steps away from our villa. Villa 113 was great! Very roomy and clean! It had everything we needed and then some!

Great Spring Break for the Family

This was a perfect location for our family's Spring Break getaway. Plenty of family space, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and plenty of room for each to have their own bed. Quick walk to the beach. Loved the access to the extensive bike trails on Hilton Head Island, too!
