Esta casa de vacaciones de estilo chalet se encuentra a poca distancia del lago y rodeada de muchos árboles, ¡es como estar en una casa de árbol! Durante su estadía, tendrá acceso a la piscina compartida de esta comunidad cerrada, tres playas, club de campo y campo de golf.

Regarding the fireplace, the previous guest had broken the glass and reported it, and we immediately ordered a replacement. As this is a remote mountain location, repairs cannot be completed overnight. The replacement parts arrived just as your reservation began, and we installed the new glass a day after your check-out. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

PROS: Older house with updated appliances/bathrooms and partial view of the private lake. The main benefit is how close it is to Yosemite. We had a lot of fun with the foosball table, although a couple of the guys need to be replaced. Host(Vacasa) was quick to respond to my questions.CONS:I didn't read the listing thoroughly and missed that there is a 50 fee to get into the community. The beds weren't great.The stairs to get to the front door are not lit and have seen better days which made getting in and out a little difficult in the dark and rain.

Nice location, run down property

The location of this house was great, but the house itself was out of date, horrible beds, dirty dishes in the cupboards and lacking basics for guests. Could be such an amazing vacation rental if money was put into upkeep.

Great spot

The house was great, we weren’t there much and didn’t use most of the amenities. There was a partial lake view though. We used it as a spot to go to Yosemite for a few days. Great location close to town. The beds and pillows were all pretty hard and not comfortable.

The location is wonderful, and the vibe of the house is incredible. Everything was clean, with plenty of towels and a very helpful welcome kit. However, we were unable to use the upstairs bathroom due to a leaking bath, which made it quite inconvenient to have only one bathroom for 8 people. A major disappointment was the BBQ—it wasn’t working, even though we had planned to use it and had prepared meat in advance. We had to roast it in the oven instead, which of course wasn’t the same. We hope the owners will address these issues for future guests, so they don’t face the same inconveniences we did.

Great Find

This was a last minute trip on our way to spend Thanksgiving with family. The property is a cozy older home, but clean with comfy beds, and perfect spot near Yosemite. It’s about 30 minutes to the gate and 1 hour from the Valley, but ann easy drive. Our family of 4, including 2 teenagers, loved our stay. We had plenty of room with 2 bedrooms downstairs, a huge loft space, and 2 bathrooms. Groveland is a cute town. Mar Vals was a great grocery store where we were to get everything we needed. We had dinner at the Iron Door Saloon and Two Pies Pizza Guys, and grabbed coffee and pastries at Top of the Trail Tea and Coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the House..Hated the Stairs.

The house had some older, used furniture but one does not expect the Waldorf Astoria when using someones home. I liked the lived in look. We were very comfortable during our 6 day stay. The stairs were an unexpected challenge to us..especially since I was told the only stairs I would contend with were the ones leading up into the loft. We wouldn't be using the loft which was for the kids. I can't praise the handyman, Richard and the cleaning lady, Kelcie enough. Both went above & beyond their duties to make our stay a pleasant one.

60's house

The house is like going back to the 60. Great space for family and close to the lake. The kitchen dishes were filthy the terrace table and grill had dirty utensils and had stuck food drink spills and the fridge was leaking....when I called casa they took my complaint and I am still waiting for a response. The fridge ruin my bread and I had to scrub every pot plate fork cup etc we used during the trip. And clean the outside tables and grill. They could have sent someone to do it or at least pay me back to do it for them.

I’ll probably be back

It’s pretty big and close to the lake and I’m amazed that there is no bugs. I appreciated the towels and the laundry detergent. The water pressure is amazing. Some things I’d like to see fixed: The lock on the sliding glass door is broken so it can’t be locked. That makes me a little nervous. The Internet is slow. If it were fast I could come up there during the week and work from lake. It bugged me to have to pay $42 to get into the community. I wish that were just included in the price. Like charge $42 more so the price is transparent and I wouldn’t mind. Non-owners can’t park in the parking lot by the lake. OK so I’m paying $1000 for the weekend but I’m not an investor so I’ve got a park in a ditch. Think about that.

Unfortunately, due to the area, the wi-fi can be slow at times and is out of our control. The area is also part of an HOA community which is why there are fees and certain parking rules for our guests. WE once again apologize if any of this detracted away from your experience and hope to welcome you back in the near future.

Awful & Waste of money!!!

We had never seen a vacation home like this. Almost a month ago, we went to big bear and stayed in a cozy and resoanably clean chalet almost with the same size and price range. But this one was dirty and far from cleanness. Dirty awful Chalet, you'll see spider's web and dust all around at the corners. Linens, pillows and bath towels are dirty as well. Kitchen appliances are too old and some of them are broken. Wi-Fi network doesn't work. Better to say, it doesn't even exist. Vacasa sent us Wi-Fi network info through email but there was no network with that name at all. We even tried to connect to other network poped up but that was just waste of time. Nothing! If there was a grade below 1 star I would select that one for sure. Definitely, a complete renovation is what this chalet requires not future guests. The location of this chalet is the only positive point of it.

Well…it was something.

Things weren’t great. We had no power due to a power outage for three days. Which isn’t really on the property because they can’t control that, but there was no response from the local manager listed on the email at all. We asked if a generator was available from Vacasa- there wasn’t. We lost all of our food for the week (which was a lot because we were meeting up with another family of 6 near by so we had food enough to feed a small army) as the fridge defrosted and caused a huge mess. There were spiderwebs around and oddly enough tiny dead bugs on the ceiling in the bathroom downstairs. At least one of the stools were broken at the kitchen counter. Oh, my kid picked up a carpet tack he found on the stairs. So praise the Lord that didn’t wind up in one of my kids feet since they were sleeping upstairs. There’s also critters in the wall/ceiling. Which, I get it, it’s in the forest. Critters happen. But the culmination of the week made us check out two days early. Hearing a critter chew and scratch somewhere near my head all night was enough to call it quits on our vacation.

Our local manager noted that our team reached out during your visit but was not able to connect with you and we are sorry for the disconnect in communication you felt. The refrigerator defrosting was due to the power outage that affected the region and we are sorry for the inconvenience this caused your party. As you mentioned, being in the mountains, critters happen and cobwebs can rebuild in less than 24 hours after removal, but our housekeeping team has been made aware. Additionally, the team is working with pest control to make sure there isn't any continuing problem with critters in the walls, if that is the case. There are many woodpeckers in the area that make holes so the local team will take a look at this. We shared your feedback with the local team and we appreciate your feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future and provide an amazing vacation experience.
