Cayman Cottage by the Sea es un Caribbean Cottage de dos pisos y dos habitaciones que es absolutamente perfecto para el viajero con presupuesto limitado.

Situado en el lado sur (playa) de la carretera en la tranquila Colliers, en el East End de Gran Caimán, que está literalmente a unos pasos de una playa de arena blanca en polvo virgen. Ubicado entre exuberantes plantas tropicales, palmeras y cocoteros, hay una gran terraza en el segundo piso para leer o tomar el sol con una vista fabulosa del océano.

Recientemente, la cocina ha sido completamente renovada e incluye un lavaplatos, vitrocerámica, horno de microondas / convección, refrigerador de tamaño completo, placa para salpicaduras de mosaico de vidrio y encimeras de granito.

La cabaña está a solo 10 minutos del nuevo Hospital Shetty de Cardiac Care, que se encuentra en High Rock. Esta es la opción perfecta costo, baja si tiene familiares que están en el hospital y que desea permanecer cerca.

El 'Cottage Cayman by the Sea' está totalmente equipada con ropa de cama, vajilla y utensilios de cocina. Es ideal para 4 o 5 adultos. El dormitorio principal del piso principal tiene una cama queen. So after booking and receiving the address I was a little disappointed because the cottage sits mostly behind the house. We arrived late on a holiday so I was able to reach out to the host and get the cottage pre stocked with some basic needs. This was the beginning of an amazing trip! The next morning I learned the beach house is actually several different units. However, even with that we all quickly made friends with each other. The beach was never crowded and there was plenty of room for everyone! Snorkeling at the end of the dock was stunning so many fish! We even saw a starfish just past the dock. We kayaked to the reef and saw more starfish, stingrays and sea urchins! If you are looking for some fancy place this isn’t it. If you are looking to just chill, spend time with your family and relax then this is absolutely the place you want to be! The maids were in and out all the time and always happy to answer any questions or help with any needs! We all agreed this was the best family vacation we have been on so far and are already looking forward to coming back!!

If you're looking for a place off the beaten path, this is it. Isolated and quiet with great beaches. Solid dining options near by, water sports near by, very chill vibe. The beach front location was a great place to decompress without the tourist crowds of the West side. The recent hurricane washed a lot of plastic onto the sand of East End Colliers Point, hopefully it's getting cleaned up as it's prevalent while you're snorkeling inside the cove of the breakwaters as well as when you walk up the beach.The Cayman Cottage was okay for 6 days. The photos of the property are quite dated. Still, a comfortable stay for early season mid-November. The pool was great, the beach front ocean was great, but the hot tub never worked during our stay. Neither did the locks on the Cottage. We had to devise an exit strategy every night to leave for dinner. Eventually the battery keypad died and we had no means to lock the property the last two days of our stay. All of this was communicated to the host.. A new lock was on the patio table as we were loading the car to leave. I understand that we were early in the season, however, the property looked like an active construction site on all sides littered with rusted equipment, pallets of flooring, pieces of exterior trim, a dead air conditioning compressor, and exposed electrical near the pool. I'm sure it's been rectified as the season begins, however, the overall appearance of the property was a bit of a letdown.

Nice quiet area

Overall the location is as described. Quieter end of the island but still near a local market and restaurants. Unfortunately our experience was poor at the house due to work being done on the rental property. The workers were nice but a warning about it would have been appreciated. The owner was prompt on communication which was great but the noise and commotion for 4 out of the 7 days we were there was too much which is why the review is low. It’s hard to relax with drills and saws going and staging built on the edge of the pool with men dangling above you. Sandra did refund a small portion but I think the correct thing would have been to mark down rentals significantly and make it known what was going on. She did say the rain delayed the work into our rental period but that still should have been communicated before hand. I spoke with her the day before arrival and the construction wasn’t mentioned. The only other negative I would say is the house is more dated than the pictures show. There isn’t a tree growing through the deck anymore and the deck is white not wood like the cover photo. The right side of the house is loaded with junk from a remodel I’m guessing but it’s a mess. Overall location, communication, price, island are great. But I’m hesitant to recommend this property after our experience.

Lazy Days on the Beach

We really loved how we were right on the beach. Yes, our cottage was behind the main house, but it's still right there! It was great to just walk out to our own private beach and not worry about hauling all our stuff or crowds. We also really enjoyed using the provided kayaks and paddle boards. There was plenty of interesting sea life to see snorkeling around the dock. Cottage was cozy with plenty of space to sleep and hang out. It was a pleasant surprise that both bathrooms each had a shower! Deck and patio areas were lovely and picturesque. I recommend Tukka restaurant for future visitors! We had zero issues needing owner attention while we were there.Feedback to owner: Need new can opener (neither worked well). We would have liked a TV upstairs to watch from the lovely large couch. A broom or handheld vacuum handy for sweeping away tracked in sand would be nice.

Relaxing Getaway

My wife and I stayed in the cottage which was comfortable and met all of our expectations. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises each morning from the deck with our coffee. We enjoyed sitting on the amazing beach, swimming in the new pool, snorkeling around the dock, and kayaking in the ocean. All in all a great stay.

Nice quiet. Private little cottage

The experience was very nice. From the booking, to checking in, and description of the house and area. Windy a lot of the trip for us, but the beach out front was one of the nicest walking up and down the neighborhood.

Just Awesome

The place worked out great for us. Most times there was absolutely nobody else as far as you could see either direction on the beach! The snorkeling under the old dock in front of this property is very good! Tukka restaurant, Morrits and the dive bar were all near by for good food and drinks. Property staff was very welcoming.

Honeymoon Getaway

My wife and I chose this place for our honeymoon destination and it was perfect. We were out of town and it was nice and quiet. The beach was well kept and the ocean was SO warm. We would love to come back!

Wonderful stay!

We had an amazing stay at the cottage. Everything was very clean upon arrival and both the owner and property manager were easy to communicate with for all of our needs/questions. A few pros to note that I didn't see in other reviews... The hot tub on the property was kept cool during our stay in June and it was a HUGE plus for us. We have a 6 year old daughter and we spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub "pool" with her. It kept her busy, was relaxing for myself and my husband, and it kept us all cool! Another thing we loved about the property was the ocean past the dock. If you take a paddleboard or kayak out past the dock there is beautiful clear blue water only about 4-6 deep so you can get out and snorkel or float in the water. You can go all the way to the break and there is a rock "beach" that you can get out and walk around on. We loved being out there! The property is also located within short driving distance to many amazing restaurants and beaches even though it's on the East End. A few of our favorites were Barefoot Beach, the Blow Holes, TUKKA bar, The Czech Inn, Rum Point just for a chill time, and the bar on the water at Morrit's (you can walk to this if there's no sargassum). The only cons - we got unlucky with sargassum so walking along the beach was a no go (BUT if you take the boards out past it, it was no issue at all) and also my husband and I weren't super comfy on the living room furniture. Overall a fantastic stay. We would go back!!

Cayman Cottage By the Sea

We celebrated our wedding anniverasary at the cottage. It was absolutely beautiful! Everyone we encountered was pleasant and friendly. Lorraine greeted us when we got there. The cottage was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed having our own private beach. The island was beautiful! There was plenty to see and do. The local food was delicious. Our favorites were One Stop, Big Tree BBQ, Vivine's Kitchen and The Italian Kitchen. We would definitely return.

Paradise Found

What a wonderful cottage by the sea we had the pleasure of staying in for nine days. The communication ahead of our visit was outstanding, getting questions answered, information about things to see and do on the island and overall, very friendly and welcoming correspondence. The cottage was perfect for us and our granddaughter, who occupied the upstairs room. The kitchen provided us the ability to cook meals when we wanted to but were well informed as to local restaurants. The cottage has great AC, which we used at night, the Internet worked well, and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The property has lots of blooming flowers and coconut palms with lovely white sand. Snorkeling was fabulous right in front of the cottage and house. There were hundreds of fish just a stroll into the sea. It is an amazing place take in the sunrise each day while sipping coffee barefoot on the beach. Lorraine was spectacular! She is such a lovely person, and it was a delight to see her during the week. You cannot go wrong with booking this cottage!

Girls Trip 2023

Such a beautiful location and home for our vacation! East side of the island with our own private beach. Lorraine has kayaks, even found us snorkeling equipment!! 5 of us and more than enough room to stretch out. We are definitely going back!! We felt like a park of Lorraine’s family.

Peaceful Paradise

Totally enjoyed our stay. Location is in the East End of the island, which is away from the bustle of cruise ships/7-mile beach. Private beach with beautiful sunrises. Affordable and modern accommodations. Only hiccup was thought we would be the only ones on the property. There is actually 5 rental units. But, we met several couples and it only enhanced our stay. Lorraine, the property manager is a gem and she is there to make your stay great!. Will definitely go back.

Eastside Gem

This two-storeyj cottage is on the peaceful and quiet East End of Grand Cayman. if you want hustle and bustle, night life, noise and a zillion people, don't stay here -- book yourself a room at one of the towering resorts lining Seven Mile Beach, and don't say I didn't warn you. If you want to relax, connect deeply with the island, the beautiful aquamarine, warm water, the tropical fish, stingrays (they won't hurt you) and the coral, and if you want to hang out on a lovely private beach, with tropical fish to see in the water RIGHT THERE, then this is the place for you. The cottage is not technically ocean-front, but it has a deck attached to the second floor, where you can easily see the ocean and where you can dine and relax. There is almost no traffic on the road nearby. If you want to dine out or go to a seaside bar, there are 2 choices, in small resorts about 1 mile up the road. Best of all, the property manager Lorraine is a wonderful, friendly, helpful, lovely person who can be reached easily and who will take care of any needs or problems, with a great attitude. You should get to know her while you're there--you won't regret it.

Great, private location

We had a great time at the property. Enjoyed being away from the more crowded part of the island. Loved the really private beach and the kayaks/SUPS. The space is nicely appointed and the host was gracious and responsive. We will be back!

You will meet Lorraine --- your property manager. She is your point of contact once you reach the island. Great sense of humour and infectious laugh. You'll enjoy meeting her. She's on the property very early in the morning, and pops in throughout the day. If you need anything at all, just ask her.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This quaint cottage is located literally steps away from a powdery sand beach and ocean that is good for swimming or snorkelling. Guests have scuba dived here too, but it's quite a long swim out to the reef.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

It's a very economical alternative if you have a lot of children or 2 families travelling together with kids. The 2nd floor is one huge bedroom with a total of 5 beds. Perfect for 2 or 3 adults and kids, too small for more than 3 or 4 adults.
