We are sorry your introduction to Marathon Village was not a positive one for you. While we have not witnessed what you described seeing, we are sorry you did and understand that some folks may feel nervous or uncomfortable by the diversity that comes with an area that is still gentrifying. We are just around the corner of the heart of Marathon Village: By way of some background Marathon Village, a unique neighborhood of sorts that has become quite a Nashville hotspot and is mere minutes from Downtown Nashville, Hillsboro Village, Belmont, Vanderbilt, and 12-South. Some of Nashville's best whiskey and spirit makers call Marathon Village home as do a number of shops — with more than 45 tenants representing fine, commercial, and performing arts — and one of the nation’s oldest historic African American universities.
