Beach trip

Great house with convenient location. House was just a short distance to the beach and numerous restaurants. Pool was refreshing and kids loved all the toys/floats provided. House was clean and well stocked and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Thanks again.

VA Beach Vacation

We had the best time here! The location of this property was ideal for being able to hit the beach and see all of the sights around town. The house was clean, well-organized, and the outdoor space was HUGE. And the hosts were just amazing - incredibly hospitable and attentive! We will definitely be back :)

Highly recommend!!

We felt comfortable and at home during our vacation last week. I traveled with my mother, my two adult sons, and my 4-year-old granddaughter. We felt very welcomed by the host and there were snacks and a beautiful fruit and breakfast pastry and sandwich tray waiting for us upon arrival. My granddaughter LOVED the pool and it was very nice to have it all to ourselves! The house was on a quiet street so we could completely relax. We would definitely stay again when visiting VB!

Great stay for a family of 4

My family and I had a wonderful time at this home. It was clean and spacious with plenty of amenities to keep the kids busy. The piano was a hit with my daughter and the surprise breakfast was such a treat. Fabulous location with plenty of options for food and a nearby Walmart for grocery pick up or delivery. Crystal and Shaquita were phenomenal host that were quick to respond to any questions I had.

Absolutely perfect!!

We absolutely loved this house for our family vacation. I have little ones and teens and it was perfect for all of us. The pool was amazing. The location was perfect. Short drive to beach and shopping. Neighbor was very quiet and nice it’s on a dead end street. Already recommended this house to all my family and friends. Hope to be back next year!

Fantastic Thanksgiving Location

We had a wonderful time at this VA Beach home for Thanksgiving. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner and even had the house beautifully decorated for the holidays with a surprise treat for my kids. The house itself was fantastic and in the perfect location for our family. My kids loved all the things to play with, inside and out. Since this house is so nice and so close to my grandmother (and the beach), we will definitely be back.

Outstanding home with all the extras

Having a pool, trampoline, and swing set within steps from the back door — amazing. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets were so soft. Fluffy towels made it feel like a spa experience. Crystal made an delicious breakfast with abundant food. We had so much fun there that it was almost unnecessary to even go to the beach. Our three young daughters enjoyed this home very much. We’d definitely return.

Very nice property

The hosts are very responsive to questions (and I had a lot) the property is very clean and seems to have everything we needed to cook and enjoy the property. The pool was very clean and a lot of outdoor activities. If there were kids there they would have other things to do too a lot of floats and a soccer net and balls and volleyball net etc yards is fenced the host brought us breakfast one morning that was amazing. About 15 mins from the beach very easy to get to. Literally so many stores and restaurants in the area neighborhood is quiet and nice We had a great stay and would definitely consider booking this house again!! The only suggestion I have is remove that you have a hot tub lol.

Central Virginia Beach with pool & lake!

We use HomeAway a lot, & can vouch for this property. It's not for those seeking the 24/7 tourist experience of the Oceanfront. HOWEVER, if you want to mix in some beach time at either the Oceanfront or at Chick's Beach (the locals beach) with peace & quiet, this property is perfect. One queen bed with firm mattress, two twin beds, 1 1/2 baths, pool, firepit, lake, grill, full kitchen and laundry, perfect for a family or small group. Owners are super!!! Five stars all the way. Virginia Beach Treasure!

You cannot go wrong with this property. A private backyard pool, fire pit, swing set, basketball hoop, and trampoline are just a few of the things this house offers. Shaquita and Crystal have created a dream beach vacation home that takes all the stress out of traveling with family and children. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to create meals any day. There are TVs everywhere and even gaming systems available to play. The bathrooms and bedrooms are clean and the towels, sheets and blankets are soft. With the beach and boardwalk only a short drive away, you will not regret booking this home. My family and I cannot wait to return. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality, as well as the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever had. -Mary H.

Enjoyed the stay

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The private pool was nice. The area the house was located was nice and quiet. Great for evening walks. And it was located close to a lot of area businesses. There were some things that we felt could have been better. First, the grill. It was incredibly dirty. It had to be scrubbed clean before it could even be used. Second, the board between the kitchen sink and cupboard was broken. If someone needed to open both doors, it would fall to the floor. Third, the air vents in the bedrooms. In the single room, the vent didn't really distribute the air around the room so it was hot and stuffy at night despite turning the air down. The double room, where my husband, kids, and I slept, the bed was loacted directly under an air vent. In this case, it was way too cold so we had to practically close the vent in order to not freeze at night. But with it partially closed, it made the room hot at night. There was really no happy medium. Fourth, the freezer door was practically frozen shut. We were able to open and "fix" it by thawing out the slider that made the door open. It ended up working for the time we were there but we shouldn't have had to devote time to fixing it. The owners were aware of the board and freezer before we arrived but didn't take care of it. We just feel for the amount of money we spent on a vacation home, there were some things that could have made the stay better.

Home away from home

This is the cleanest property we have ever stayed at. The little things like linens, dish soap, tooth brush, laundry detergent and many more items is so very helpful and appreciated. The hosts were amazing. They provided a delicious breakfast and are very responsive if you need anything. We will definitely stay when we come back again. Great location. You are close to many shops, restaurants, outlets and the beach!

Very nice neighborhood and perfect location for us

Overall great experience! The TVs seem to be of lower quality than the high definition ones at home. But it’s really no big deal as we quickly adjusted.

Home Away From Home

This place was amazing. It was very nice. The yard was beautiful. The supplies left by the owner were very useful. Plenty of space. It was so comfortable and peaceful. They had the best sleeping beds , soft and clean. There were even snacks left for us . I definitely will look for vacancies in this spot whenever I wanna visit Virginia Beach !!

Exceeded our expectations

We really enjoyed our stay in this clean and beautifully decorated home. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed plus extras including a delicious homemade breakfast. Not sure we will ever be able to find another home with such gracious hosts. Suitable for young children and everyone enjoyed spending time outside at the pool and making smores at the firepit. The location is perfect as we didn't want to be right on the beach, but within driving distance. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. We had two small families and never had an issue sharing the shower. Two restrooms. Large bedrooms. Thank you so much and I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing home away from home.

We are a proud United States Marine Corps veteran family of Hampton Roads. After searching for our first home, we stumbled on this hidden jewel. We fell in love with it! Its the perfect place for bbq's, pool fun and fishing. Our family has a great time in the summer. Virginia Beach offers a variety of activities including national parks, beaches, festivals, water sports and great restaurants. The house is the perfect size for our family and the backyard is very large.
