We had a wonderful stay with our family of four. The owners values and appreciates their clients as evidenced by all the amenities that were present in the home, like having a small plug in night light so that our children could navigate the bathroom without having to turn the lights on middle

Probably the cleanest and most organized rental home I’ve ever been in. House is comfortable. I think some previous reviews stated that the house could use updating which is true, BUT this home definitely gives you value for your money. Updates would easily double the fees and we had no issues with the condition of the home. It’s obviously well cared for. We definitely enjoyed the backyard as did our dogs. The location is fantastic. I love Whitehorse beach, always been one of my favorite beaches especially at low tide. The people here are all so nice as well. We needed an additional parking pass for a few hours one evening and actually borrowed one from a neighbor. Another actually stopped me on my way to the beach to ask about my day and tell me she liked my necklace. Everything was just super nice and friendlyHosts were great as well. Very responsive to all my questions and when we discovered that the coffee maker didn’t work they sent a new one overnight via amazon.

It is a pearl

I would recommend this vacation property. From the welcome basket to the tiki torched back yard oasis, my stay was lovely. The house is clean, well appointed, good parking and the owners have focused on anticipating and meeting the renters needs. There is a new front porch to loll on but most special for me were the gardens, fire pit and ambience of the back yard. You can hear the ocean surf and have a cocktail without leaving home. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sleeping area downstairs and on the porch.

Perfect New England experience

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property near Plymouth. 6 of us stayed at 'Polynesian Pearl', we had plenty of space, with 2 double bedrooms on the ground level and we used the downstairs basement with an extra futon and very handy second shower room with toilet. Everything was provided such as towels, toiletries, washing-up liquid, laundry detergent - which was so convenient for us. They also left us a welcome pack with freshfruit and snacks, which was a lovely touch. Mary and Joe came and met us on the first day and explained where things were, which was very helpful; they were really friendly and welcoming. We spent alot of time outside, sitting on the front porch or in the back garden; using the BBQ and firepit; it was so peaceful, and a beautiful place to sit, surrounded by pretty plants and trees. We also visited the lovely sandy beach a few times, which was only 5 minutes walk away using the beach chairs and cool box which were at the property. It was also really convenient as a base with places such as Boston, Rhode Island and Cape Cod all being an hour or less in terms of travel. Our parents and teenage girls all loved the property and location too and we were love to stay there again and visit this beautiful part of New England.

Peaceful Harmony

I loved staying here!!!! It was exactly what I was looking for. It was so close to the beach yet far enough for privacy and a fenced in yard for my doggie. It's basically across the street from the beach with a brief walk up the street. Plenty of room to sleep our guests w the extra futon down stairs, extra futon on the porch and living room couch pulling out to a bed w plenty of sheets. Plenty of towels and face cloths for showers w some complimentary soaps and shampoos, plenty of beach towels and beach chairs for our guests. The laundry room was a definite plus not having to worry about running out. A/C worked great!! The kitchen had everything you need, cabinets and draws stocked and even had dish soap!!! Truly all you need to bring are your cloths and bathing suit, there is a store driving distance to do your shopping. And of course the outside deck and patio yard w fire pit surrounded by the cushioned furniture, another table and chairs w umbrella and grill for cookouts!! Loved having coffee on the front porch plenty of shade from those beautiful trees. The area is so quaint and private to the beach. It was so nice to meet Joe who dropped off some beautiful patio chairs he had newly painted for the front porch and came in record time when we requested to replace the propane we used. Also, very nice speaking to Mary on the phone. Location is great to Plymouth Rock to take a stroll to the gift shops, enjoy the water's view and great restaurants there!!!

Owners were friendly, however property needs updating and sleeping arrangements could be improved.

I stayed here in July of 2017. Due to travel plans and conflicting schedules, we were not able to personally meet the owners. This was to no fault of the owners as they repeatedly tried to make it happen, but we had a full schedule and were on the road early and stayed out late. Owners were friendly and accommodating to needs such as delivering firewood and firestarter when we requested. Kitchen is very well stocked and has everything needed. Sleeping arrangements are tight and are not real accommodating or comfortable for adults. If it is one couple with small children it would be suitable. Property needs some updating. Bathrooms are small and basement bathroom is extremely cramped and smells damp and musty. If you are over or near 6 feet tall you will be extremely uncomfortable in shower. Significant bugs in the basement. The backyard is very nice and made for a nice space to enjoy evenings. Walk to beach is close which is nice. This rental is comparable to a lake cabin or no frills beach home. Not a real sense of ambiance or "cozy" feeling. If you are looking for a little more upscale but still not fancy, this isn't the best choice. If you want a place to stay with kids may be a good choice. Realize this is an expensive area, but property seems overpriced. The area is beautiful though and Plymouth is a charming town and a good center point for many excursions and day trips, such as Boston, Newport, and Cape Cod towns.

Pearl was a Heaven to stay at!

We got to meet Joe and Mary when we first got there. They were a delight. We were only a short walk to the beach, which was amazing in itself. We only had one day that was bad, so it was a day for exploring. When we would come home either from the beach or exploring we got to enjoy the fire, while lounging in their awesome back yard. Everything was perfect! Definitely would go back again and again!

Family vacation

The property is very close to the beach and the yard is very relaxing. The furniture is not comfortable including the beds. Owners were nice and kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.

Wonderful property!

Although the weather wasn’t great, we still enjoyed a few beach days and enjoyed the gorgeous back yard! Joe and Mary are great hosts and had everything there we could need. I highly recommend this property and hope to come back next summer!

The wonder of White Horse Beach

This is our 3rd trip to WHB, our first to the Polynesian Pearl. The location is perfect, just a block and a half to the beach and the road lets you off right near the public access. The beach has white sand, the ocean ranges from smooth as ice to rough with 2-3 ft waves. It’s a fabulous walking beach and it allows leashed dogs. This house, while cozy, has all you could possible need for a convenient relaxing stay. The basement has a laundry room, washer dryer, detergent and dryer sheets. It also has a nice futon, computer area, large tv and a full bathroom. The main floor has two bedrooms and the living room couch is a pull out bed so there is plenty of room for a family. Unfortunately, due to the virus, most of our family, who live out of state, couldn’t join us. The kitchen is completely outfitted with anything you could possibly need. The backyard is an oasis. After a day at the beach you can settle down on the rattan sectional couch which surrounds a fountain/fire pit. Talk about atmosphere!!! There is also a big table and chairs for eating, as well as a nice grill. The backyard is completely fenced so we didn’t have to worry about our pup getting out of the yard. The front porch/deck is great place to take your morning coffee and relax before the day begins. Mary and Joe were wonderful. Whenever we had questions they were available as they too live in Plymouth. We had a great time. We love Plymouth waterfront and walk around center. We like to take a day to visit the Cape which is just down the road. Thank you again Mary and Joe! We will definitely be back!!

Small cute house with great backyard

Loved relaxing in the backyard with the water fall and gas fire pit. You are a 2 block walk to the beach! The house was clean and kitchen was furnished with everything needed. The house has 3 window air conditioners that did a great job cooling the house. Bathroom were small. The basement shower was so small it was difficult to use. The basement also had a dehumidifier that blow out hot air all the time. That made it hard to stay or shower downstairs. The second bedroom had a trundle bed that has two mattresses that were about 2 inches thick and worn. One mattress for each bed. It was hard to sleep. The house would be good for 4 or less people. The owners were very sweet and kind. We lost electricity during a tropical storm and they brought us a box of lanterns!

Private Oasis near Whitehorse Beach

What a great location and just a few minutes walk to the multiple public and private beaches. We (and the pups) enjoyed time at the beaches and in the backyard during our stay. Surprisingly private for a beach house in a close neighborhood - quiet morning coffees on the porch and cocktails by the fire-pit at night out back. Thanks Mary and Joe for such a lovely stay!

Home away from home

This property had everything you could possibly want and more to enjoy a short or long stay. All linens were provided, towels for the beach, chairs for the beach etc. The outside space is very cozy and beautiful. It came un handy when family came to visit. Beds were very comfortable. I especially was thankful to the owners for fencing in the three areas so my dogs could go out with no worries. The walk to the beach is very short, just a block away. We loved sitting out on the front porch in the morning with our coffee. The weather was perfect only needed the AC a couple of days during our 3 week stay. The three window units truly kept the whole house very cool. If I were to come back to that area again I would definitely stay at this cute little home.

Great Cottage Experience close to the Beach

The cottage was stocked with everything we needed. It was very comfortable, clean and our hosts, Mary and Joe, were available to answer any questions we may have had. The walk to the beach was short. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Great location for the beach and day trips! Would do it again!

Great location for all that we wanted to do in the area (we visited Boston twice and Cape Cod once)! It's super close to the beach for multiple trips in one day. The house definitely has a cottage feel to it...the rooms aren't huge, but provide enough storage space for your things. As others have posted, the backyard is the best feature. We built a fire 3 of the nights we were there and enjoyed the quiet patio in the mornings. This is the perfect rental for anyone, but especially for families flying into the area that don't have room to pack beach equipment. Mary and Joe provided anything you could need for a trip to the beach, including a wheeled cooler, beach chairs and a wagon. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Clean and neat. Well stocked house in all! For kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and beach day!

Wow! What a top notch vacation house! Location was terrific! Walking to beach was a luxury made easy with provided wagon to put beach gear in. Outdoor shower was a bonus. Large patio with fire pit was a great place to hang out after a long day in the sun. Close to grocery store and a kitchen and grill to cook everything and anything. House was well supplied with all that you need. We had perfect weather all week so we lucked out for sure!! You will not be disappointed if you visit.

The Polynesian Pearl is a pearl!

We enjoyed our 30 day stay at this great property. The walk to White Horse beach is quick and easy. Our Basset Hound enjoyed exploring the fenced backyard off leash. Additionally, the backyard provided a safe play space for young children. This property provides everything you need except food and clothing. The kitchen is well equipped with essentials. The owners provide all bed, bath and kitchen linens, including beach towels. No need to pack beach chairs and coolers, either; all that's provided. Beach toys, yard toys and board games are part of the deal, too. There's even a little red wagon that my grandchildren loved! If all the amenities aren't enough to convince you, the responsiveness of the owners should seal the deal. Mary and Joe couldn't have been more responsive and hospitable. They took care of EVERYTHING. They provide a welcoming basket that sets the tone for what you can expect from them. We enthusiastically endorse The Polynesian Pearl and the owners, Mary and Joe.
