This was an absolutely phenomenal condo that has been newly renovated!! Great layout and awesome accommodations! Would highly recommend for a couple or family for a wonderful stay at Carolina Beach!!

Little Piece of Heaven

Lovely decor, well appointed. Super convenient to beach. Best part: The pelicans fly at about the 10th floor elevation. You get to see them up close and in formation all the time.

We really enjoyed our time at Top of the Watch. The listing pictures and descriptions were completely accurate. No problems at all and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

PROS Great Location! Beautiful View! Bed comfortable. Host was fantastic with answering promptly. Very easy access and parking. Umbrella and chair rental if needed-very easy. CONS couch furniture needs to be upgraded. If back or knee issues not comfortable. Dishwasher does not work properly or hot water is not hot enough for cleaning. Although, showers were good. Coffee cups in the cupboard were not clean. Had to scrub before use.

Excellent ocean front condo

Condo was spotless and well-equipped. Roomy living room and kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well lit. Bed were comfortable with lovely sheets & coverlets. All TVs were working and of good size. Perfect for up to 4 adults. Stayed the week with my parents who are 78 & 80. Elevators were speedy and beach & pool were easily accessible. Beach was incredibly clean. Host was very welcoming and had great communication. Close enough to bars & restaurants without all of the traffic from the boardwalk Highly recommend this host and his beautiful condo. Easiest check in & out that I have experienced in over 40 years of hitting the beach!

First decent post pandemic vacation

I normally stay in Myrtle Beach because it is cheaper but my last stay was a nightmare. I booked this one because of a need for a change in city. I liked this property much better. The owners and visitors, clientele, were more social. The basic amenities were better. The general area is nicer.

Amazing views!

We absolutely loved our stay! The building is from 1984 and we got to meet the original tenant in the elevator! Keep in mind it is not a brand new building, but the place has some nice updates. The host was extremely responsive and friendly! I loved waking up to the amazing sunrise views! Older reviews complained about the sliders, but they have since been replaced with new ones that were great! The furniture was comfortable and it was super great having a beach cart and some chairs available! On-site laundry was also so nice! All the towels and linens were included which was also a bonus. There was remodeling happening on the first floor so I'm sure it will look great in the future! We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but there always seemed to bea couple of people using it when we walked through to get to the beach. The location was great and I can't say enough amazing things about the view!!! It was beautiful and high enough that you don't hear noise besides the roar of the ocean waves. I was worried about hearing other people being in such a large building, but it was really quiet! We had a couple of chilly and a rainy days and it was so nice to be able to just relax and play games and watch movies together with the amazing ocean views right there. If you are looking for a cozy place on the beach with amazing views, this may be the place for you! I will recommend this place to our friends for sure!!

Elican Warch

10th floor unobstructed view of ocean on 3+mile-long beach. Condo was small and fairly well-furnished, though lighting made it hard to read in some locations. Observed hundreds of pelicans every day. Biggest problem was cold weather combined with strong winds which kept us inside other than for daily walk; area very walkable. Overall: very good stay.

Oh my goodness , Where do I start what an amazing view. The condo was so clean and comfortable . Paul had everything laid out perfectly for a stress- free week. We would definitely love to come back ASAP. Thank you for a great stay.

Carolina Beach Trip

We were very disappointed that the pool heater was broke & we couldn’t use the pool. We picked this condo especially since it had a indoor pool being that it was October & weather could be a factor from swimming in the ocean. We exercise regularly in a pool & that we couldn’t do this SUCKED!!! Also the TV was messed up & we couldn’t get regular TV. Another thing some lamps didn’t work due to no light bulbs. We wouldn’t recommend renting this condo. The best highlight was the condo was ocean front with beautiful views.

Wonderful Stay!

We really enjoyed our time at the Top of the Watch. The condo was everything as described. Incredible views of the beach and the ocean- so lovely to see spectacular sunrises and listen to the waves all night long. The balcony was very roomy and perfect for sipping a glass of wine in the evening. The building was very quiet and the space great for just my hubby and me. We were sad to leave a day early due to Ophelia coming ashore as we had a long trip home. We had a few issues with the air conditioning while there but the owner Paul was very prompt to respond and had a service come out to fix it ASAP. We can’t say enough good things about Paul. In our haste to leave, I inadvertently left a few small things behind and he was so very kind to mail them to me. Wonderful communication with him when we needed to make contact. The area of the condo is great! Not only did we enjoy many local restaurants but it’s also very convenient to Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington- so much to see and do. And we spent a delightful day in Southport with easy access via the ferry. All in all a very pleasant mini vacation.

Beach week

We had a good week of weather and the view from the 10th floor was awesome. The patio is a good size to enjoy sitting out. The unit was a good size with bedrooms and Internet and furnishings. The kitchen and bathrooms could use a bit of updating but very usable. I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful

The owner was great! He messaged with instructions on what to do at check in/out. We ended up having a problem with the AC on one of the hottest days and he had it handled and someone there an hour later. He is wonderful and the location was fantastic!

Awesome Condo & Great Location

We loved our stay at "Top of the Watch". The location was great, super easy to get to, lots of things nearby to do and parking was very convenient too. Paul was a great host, super easy to contact and quick with anything we needed. The beach front balcony was where we spent a lot of our time in the evenings, the views are magnificent. We even got to see dolphins several times throughout the week. Great surf fishing right out in front of the condo along with many other great spots very close by (for those who like to fish). Grocery stores close by too and Wilmington has lots of other shopping too, which was just minutes down the road. All in all, one of our favorite beach vacations! We only wish we could have stayed for two weeks!
