Apartamento ático

Ubicado bajo los aleros de una mansión del siglo XVII. Este apartamento atípico de 100 m2 se encuentra en el corazón histórico de París. Un tesoro de arquitectura y originalidad con un escenario de ensueño. ¡Ven a vivir a las 4 en un apartamento único!
Este magnífico apartamento, al menos atípico de 100 m2, está ubicado en lo que se llama una "mansión" construida en el siglo XVII, conocida como "el hotel Aubray" con un carácter excepcional, cuyas escaleras y ciertos elementos arquitectónicos son Enumerada como parte de la historia del siglo XVII. Fue el hogar de la famosa y malhumorada marquesa de La Brinvilliers.
Estos son áticos que han sido completamente reacondicionados por el arquitecto propietario. Sumérjase en un universo único hecho de viejas vigas de madera, azulejos de época, objetos inusuales, recuerdos de viaje, creaciones únicas (hay que decir que los propietarios están en el diseño). El apartamento esconde en sus recovecos piezas insospechadas, hábilmente camufladas de almacenamiento. Ofrece grandes sorpresas: ¡como esta bañera con vistas a los tejados de París que le permite ver todo sin ser visto! Esta ducha con vista al cielo ... O esta habitación doble que desaparece bajo las cortinas en el pasillo. La sala de estar es extremadamente amigable y cálida, con una hermosa cocina totalmente equipada con calentadores de gas que será adecuada para los "chefs de passage". Ventanas en cada habitación (5 en la sala! ), y en todo el apartamento dan una luz muy hermosa a todo el apartamento.
Para mayor comodidad, la calefacción y el agua caliente son producidos por una caldera individual integrada e invisible.
A partir de marzo de 2019 habrá un andamio delante de una parte de las ventanas del apartamento para trabajos de techado sobre nuestro apartamento, por un período de 6 a 8 meses.

Right in the middle of it all! Beautiful and Safe for women travelers.

This home is cozy and comfortable. The building is old and charming and feels very royal. The building is old enough to be historical, but well maintained enough to feel as though it captures the a romantic Parisian vibe. Located in the heart of Marais close to everything, but (and this is so important) away from the loud streets. Lots of local restaurants, shops, and easy access to public transportation. The home has everything you might want as it is truly someone's home and feels cozy as such. The bedrooms have air conditioning units that are so fabulous for sleeping. Items to be aware of are first and foremost the steps. There are exactly 85 steps up into the apartment. I am a mid 50s pretty out of shape woman, but what I lack in good physical form I make up for in tenacity so these steps were not a big issue for me. I did have to rest on occasion walking up the steps (and I was grateful the luggage only went up once and down once). Stephanie did a great job of adding the photo of most of the stairs so you can see the amount of climbing needing to be done. (so the stairs are not a secret). For us, they added to reaching a quiet annex with beautiful light and a very quiet French hideaway. The king bed in the master bedroom is dreamy comfy and my 19 year old daughter slept in the two twins put together in the hall room. She said the beds were extremely firm. Bottom Line: This is a safe, secluded apartment in a lovely area that is close to everything Paris has to offer.

Beautiful apartment in the sky

Our family of two adults and two teens stayed here for five nights, including around Bastille Day. The photos and description were perfectly accurate. We loved the apartment and the neighborhood. It was close to three metro stops, several grocery stores, the Coulée Verte Paris (Paris version of NYC high line), the Marais, etc. but away from the craziness of tourist areas. We were just a few blocks from the Bal des Pompiers (Firemens's Ball) on Bastille Day Eve, which was a unique experience for a visitor. Communication with the owner was prompt, and she was extremely helpful whenever we asked a question during our stay. We were there during a rather warm spell, and the AC units in the living room and main bedroom were able to keep up, while two Dyson fans kept the second bedroom fairly fresh. You are in an attic, so I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the temperature was maintained in the heat wave. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Long walk up and worth it

This unit is amazing and the host are incredible—truly staying in someone’s actual home—right down to the spices, water, grains, etc. My only advice is that if anyone in your group has any mobility issues and/or are not in good shape maybe the stair would be too much—

Absolutely stunning!

Stephanie's apartment is a gem. It's incredibly unique, beautiful, comfortable and very much a "home." Her communication was excellent from our first inquiry until our final goodbye, and we knew she was available should we have needed her for anything during our stay. We enjoyed our time in the apartment immensely and wouldn't hesitate to go back. It's wonderful place to come home to at the end of a long day of sightseeing! (As for the comments others have made about the stairs...they can be daunting, but they get easier the longer you stay there! I left Paris in better shape than when I arrived haha.)

It really is just as nice as the pictures

This apartment really is as nice as what you see in the pictures. Great neighborhood. The apartment fronts a large courtyard, so no street noise. Every day starts and ends with that great staircase. The apartment itself is creatively tucked in the eaves of the roof, and is well equipped. Stephanie is a great host.

Lovely!

The stairs are a bit daunting and the AC barely kept up during the record heat. BUT, if you're fit and the weather is below 100, this place is great! Excellent location, and Stephanie seemed really helpful, although we really didn't have any questions or concerns. Well stocked kitchen was a big plus, and the place is just FUN.

Wonderful apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique, artsy attic apartment in the Marais district. It was a great fit for two adult couples. Stephanie our host was responsive and helpful. The apartment was comfortable and well stocked, especially the kitchen! We enjoyed the artistic expressions throughout. You cannot beat the location. Wonderful experience!

Charming attic in Arsenal

This will probably be the coolest Vrbo I'll ever stay in, and I'm okay with that. The apartment itself is quite huge, spanning the attic in a wing of an old building; it's incredibly cozy with window nooks spread throughout. There's a nice TV with netflix included and an awesome surround sound system that you can cast to from spotify. Arguably the best part of this stay is the host, Stephanie, who was incredibly kind and accommodating (she helped me make a reservation last minute when my travel plans suddenly changed). She provided me and my friend with a large document of suggestions of which we tried many (definitely follow her restaurant recommendations, they were all outstanding).

An unique Parisian hideaway

My husband I had a lovely stay. The location is great and communication with the host is even better. We highly recommend this home for those who want to explore Le Marais, Ile Saint Louis, and the Seine.

Beautiful Penthouse in the Marais Skyline

We absolutely loved this apartment and Paris experience! The place is charming, light, comfortable and more than expected. We had a big dinner party with our French friends as the kitchen simply invites you to stay in for a meal. Our friends (both architects) were also so impressed with how wonderfully this special place reflects the French culture and knack for turning attic spaces into amazing living experiences. Stephanie was wonderful, on time, buttoned-up and very helpful...though we wanted for nothing while there since everything worked perfectly! A few steps removed from some of my favorite places in Paris, this charming apartment is a high recommendation and we would always go back. Thank you for a lovely experience, Stephanie!

Great location and very comfortable

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the attic apartment. It's a bit of a climb to reach the top, but it's good exercise and the apartment is well worth the steps. Stephanie is very friendly and responsive. The kitchen is large and well appointed. The apartment is also a short stroll from the Saint Paul metro station, so getting around was easy. We would certainly stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

Wow. You could write a novel about staying in this amazing place.

This is an amazing fantasy of an apartment. The pictures don't do justice to the many nooks and crannies to sit in or bathe in (seriously, the tub overlooks the rooftops of Paris). The kitchen is fantastic. The hangout space was really amazing for our family of four. This is a very, very special place in an amazing neighborhood owned by a lovely and extremely accommodating owner. A few things you should know: this apartment is up six serious flights of stairs. Make sure that's not going to be an issue for you. Second, we arrived in the middle of a crazy heat wave -- and the air conditioning in the apartment was greatly challenged. I would recommend this special place to friends -- and hope for a return visit. Thank you Stephanie!

THIS is Paris...

I have traveled extensively, both solo and with others. This was the forth apartment I've rented in Paris over the years and it did not disappoint. Three of us spent a week with plans of visiting a few places, mostly in the city but otherwise were looking for a casual, relaxed time for cooking, reading and then cooking some more... and then going out for a snack. About the owner: I think it says on this site that the owner only speaks french... that is not true. She speaks VERY good english and was very good at answering our questions before our trip. She greeted us on our arrival and was most hospitable with our needs and explaining the apartment and surrounding area. She provides a book with explanations of the apartment, but was also available by phone/text through out our trip. We didn't need to contact her much except for a few cooking questions and such, which she got right back to us about. The apartment: the photos are spot on, and as it says, there are stairs that lead to this apartment since its in the gorgeous attic area. At night the lighting in the well lit stairway casts regal-esque shadows on the walls... doesn't sound like much, but it was striking and we always commented on it. The apartment itself is bright, airy, with plenty of room for the three of us... more so than any other apartment I've rented in Paris. This was not an issue for us, but its worth noting that you have to go through the first bedroom (separate by curtains) to get to the second bedroom, however each have their own bathroom. One with a great shower with a view, and another with a great tub and shower and view (with really good hot water and good water pressure... I'm kind of a stickler about that). We used the kitchen every day and was one of the main reasons we chose this apartment. It had everything we needed and more... we'd cook, then eat at the big table, and then roll into the very comfortable living room and read. It was just wonderful. What we didn't know was how amazing the immediate area was. I did some research before hand, but was amazed by the food shops. Just brilliant. Practicality wise, it is a short walk to several subways, generally quiet area (more so than others I've rented), great restaurants right there, amazing shops, artists practicing piano and cello from a high window on that street, free classical concert in the old church... everything you think Paris should be and with ample room for fun surprises. I certainly will return.
