This is an excellent vacation property, great location, great view and a warm inviting unit. The open floor plan gives you more than enough room relax and enjoy the leisure of a beech vacation. There is great access to a small beach and two good sized decks at the water’s edge. Magens bay is one of the largest bays on the island and a host to sea turtle, pelicans, sea gulls and other wildlife. We had a great time and Rick was an attentive, friendly and helpful host.

Perfect getaway!

The house is exactly as listed. The owner was very helpful with anything we needed. We saw more wildlife snorkeling right here than we did when we paid to go out on a chartered snorkeling trip. The house had several extra things that we didn't even know we needed until we go there (snorkeling gear, dry bag, beach chairs, and more) We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Location and Amazing Host

This was our first time in the US Virgin Islands, and it won’t be our last! Our son was getting married at a nearby venue, and we wanted to be close by (but not too close). The views and breezes off the large porch were a highlight, and it was easy to swim or snorkel to Magens Bay Beach. The location was convenient for everything we wanted to do on St. Thomas, the unit was exactly as pictured, and the host was responsive and very easy to communicate with. All of our expectations were met or exceeded!Wish we had been able to stay a few more days….

Just amazing!

This was our second time staying at Villa Eau Claire, and it exceeded our expectations again! We spent every day soaking up the sun in the beautiful Magen's Bay!! Rick is great and we plan to return every year!

Views and blues in paradise

What a beautiful place to relax and just watch the amazing sea life below or swim looking out over all the perfect blues, and snorkel with turtles and pelicans diving in feet away. The villa is pristine with such an elegant coastal decor with great artwork. Very easy checkin. Lots of steps if you are mobility challenged be aware. Overall outstanding. Great communication with our host as well. Thank you for introducing us to St Thomas for two St John and BVI trippers We hope to return soon.

60th birthday celebration trip

My husband and I loved staying at Villa Eau Claire. The villa is open and airy and the sound of the ocean is so peaceful. The private beach is a great place to swim and the entire property is gorgeous! Rick was very helpful and prompt with answers to our questions/requests. We would definitely stay here again!

Ocean view

The views and beach were amazing. The pictures in VRBO do not actually represent the home. The bed does not have a window behind it. It has been boarded up. The bedroom patio slider is broken and the pull down shades also are broken. Would have been nice to use as the sun is out full in the morning. The living room patio sliders are very hard to open and hard to lock. The afternoon sun was hot in the living room and when we pulled down the shades one was completely broken. Kitchen amenities very poor. No bowl to make a salad. Pots and pans mismatched and I'm poor condition. Teflon pan very chipped. When you spend a lot of money for accommodations I expect better than this. Be aware that parking is limited and you may need to park on the street with a big hill to hike down. I'm addition there are approx. 12 plus stairs to take your baggage and groceries down to your room. Very disappointed in the home.

The property is amazing. Great views. Location is exceptional. Snorkeling in Magans Bay was perfect! Location was quiet and away from tourists and noisy areas! We will be back!

Paradise

This, by far, is the best property we have stayed at. We saw dolphins, sea turtles every day, sting rays and pelicans fly right by the balcony. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The only suggestion I have is I would have liked some shade at the private beach. We would have never left the property if we had a shaded area to sit under; but unfortunately the sun is so hot we drove to other beaches and had to pay for umbrellas and chairs which was kind of annoying when the house comes with a beach.Other than that, I give it a 10/10.

WONDERFUL

Everything we wanted for a relaxing vacation. Beautiful view of Megan's Bay with a private beach. and own covered porch. Clear water with sea turtles, fish, even a glance of a stingray. Yacht watching was fun. A quieter side of the island, but going downtown was no problem. The area is very hilly, so there are many stairs to get around the compound. Something to consider if you have compromised health.

Will never stay anywhere else

This is the PERFECT rental. The sea turtles were more than we could have dreamed of. The property grounds are beautiful. And very clean. Lots of steep stairs for beach access, but expected when you want access to the water from the edge of a mountain. The private beach was incredible. We found ourselves not wanting to leave but for coffee and dinner. It was PERFECT for seclusion and privacy to get away from the world. The water is calm so very peaceful. Iguanas and lizards walk across the rocks at the beach and sea turtles pop up beside you in the water. It’s a dream. This is our second time to St Thomas this year- but with the seclusion of this property - we will never stay anywhere else. We decided to stay an extra day bc we had such a hard time leaving. Communication with host was easy, fast, and simple. This vacation was everything we could have dreamed of and this is rental is a major factor. I have a lot of back problems and a nice bed is very important and hard to come by when u travel. It was excellent. I woke up pain free everyday. St Thomas is a forever home away from home for us. We can’t wait to stay here again, and look forward to bringing our kids back and staying in the 2 bedroom unit. Thanks Rick for a beautiful stay and the perfect way to end the year- and ring in the new year. 10/10 start to finish

Perfect

A vacation you can only dream of. This villas view will take your breath away. Always sea turtles coming up to your own private beach over looking Meagans bay. Rick was a great host, any questions we had he was quick to answer them. This is the best vacation by far we have ever been on!

Stunning location

Bar none, the beach access to Little Magens is unbeatable. The sea turtles swimming around you is magical. This and the one next door are the only “affordable” places with 1-2 bedrooms. The rest are mansions requiring full home rentals. Rick is responsive. The apartment is spacious and has all that you need. Kitchen is well appointed, although a lot of the cups and plates had cracks on them. The deck is spacious and the view is gorgeous. Wish they had more comfortable deck furniture and a lounger. But no biggie, head right into the ocean! End of day, the beach access is why you stay here. Will return!

Beautiful property with incredible views!

This is a great property with lush surroundings and views over the entire Magens Bay area. Check in instructions were easy and we found our way to the unit with no problems. The unit was very clean and all appliances, fixtures and AC worked well. Bed and linens were comfortable and we slept well. There was quite a heat wave while we were there, so AC while we slept was a blessing. There was even an island wide power outage for several hours one day but the on-site generator made it so we hardly even noticed and had no interruptions. The deck overlooking the bay is a wonderful place to relax, and we loved having direct access to the water and a small beach. From the deck above we watched countless sea turtles and rays swim by all day. There isn't a big reef here, but we saw many tropical fish while snorkeling around the rocky areas nearby. The water was very calm (the bay is well protected) crystal clear and a beautiful color. You can easily wade around a few boulders over to little Magens beach and with fins it's a fairly easy swim over to the main beach. Rick was a great host, very friendly and the amount of work and care put in to maintain the property is evident. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Eau Claire villa

We have an absolutely amazing stay!! The villa was very spacious and for anyone with back issues we were pleased with the comfort of the king mattress. We enjoyed watching the pelicans and turtles from the deck which is were we spent almost all our time when we were not away sightseeing or shopping. Rick was very prompt on responding to questions and gave us great tips and suggestions. We had our own rental car so I can say that getting from point A to point B (anywhere….) is a major feet. They have no road signs and in the downtown area where the cruise ships come to port is an a nightmare to navigate. My recommendation is to use google and get advice / tips from locals! You will not be disappointed with your stay here, you will be sad to return to reality!

What a fabulous place to spend a week exploring the Virgin Islands. Loved the porch & being able to walk right down the stairs to the bay. Saw 21 turtles one day while snorkeling. Rick is a great guy & very responsive for the few things we needed.

Simply Beautiful!

Pictures are what attracted us to the place. In person, it was even better. Very much enjoyed the pocket beach you see. The sea life in the area was much more than I expected. Sea Turtles were all around, pelicans were diving into the water on a regular basis. Under the sea, even much more.

Third Stay - We Love This Villa

This was our third stay at the villa; we always enjoy our time here. Every morning and evening is spent on the deck where we sit and watch sea turtles and pelicans below. This year, we were lucky enough to see a few dolphins! The water is crystal clear. The location is fantastic! You can enjoy your private beach or make a short drive over to Magen's Bay. The house is always spotless and has everything you need. We will be back again soon!

The 4 private units are surrounded by flower and fruit trees, which make it a tropical paradise unto its own.
Villa Eau Claire is located on the beautiful Magens Bay. Magens Bay is known for its tranquil and warm waters. The bay is filled with many varieties of sea life, and is an amazing snorkeling adventure.
