"Fantasea" is a quaint upstairs retreat nestled in the trees... located directly across the street from the King and Prince Hotel and just steps from the beach.

1221 Beachview is a wonderful alternative perfect for a couples retreat! It is a one room accommodation that features a large living space to include a small dining table and a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, two burner stove top,  microwave and coffee maker. There is no dishwasher or oven. The king size bed is tucked back in a small nook giving it a cozy feel. One of the best features is a small screened porch perfect for enjoying the outdoors bug free. If you have a small pet you don't have to leave them at home as this quaint accommodation gladly accepts pets!

The location cannot be beat, facing the King & Prince Hotel and a short block to the beach. Just a quick walk across the street and you will be at Echo, one of St. Simons Oceanfront dining options or a block away are several of St. Simons most popular other restaurant options to include Crab Trap, Crab Daddy's, Fiddlers and Beachcomber BBQ!  You are also walking distance to a few shopping opportunities but certainly less than a couple of miles to the prime Village area which is full of an array of shopping and restaurants. The bright and beachy décor is just what you would expect for a St. Simons Island getaway. This is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a more private setting than a hotel room, you don't want to leave your pet at home and you want an economical option!

Absolutely a perfect fit for me and my little fur baby. The place was just as described, very quaint with everything we needed. It’s even more spacious than the photos. The check in and check out was very easy and I even had a follow up call to see that everything was ok once we were settled in. Perfect location, very quiet and close to wonderful restaurants and shopping.We loved having coffee on the screened porch. The beach is beautiful and not too crowded. We look forward to coming back soon. 10 out of 10!

A Ray of Sunshine

My mother and I stayed in this cottage in March for one month. It was a ray of sunshine and we enjoyed our visit. It sits directly in front of the King and Prince which has a wonderful restaurant and coffee shop within walking distance, quick beach access and walking distance to 4 great other local own restaurants specializing in cuisines of fresh sea food. This cottage had a screen in porch and is a cozy nest for two.

Nice place, with nice deck. Fine for two people & a dog. Only drawback was small fridge & limited cooking options with two hotplates and a microwave. No view of the ocean, but the beach was just across the street.

Two senior ladies and a sandy dog- cute little place for a short stay

Great location, close to the best restaurants and an easy mile walk to the village. Comfortable bed, loved the porch. Very small kitchen so don't plan to do much cooking. We knocked out the power plugging in the toaster. Had to plug the toaster in the bathroom next day. Electrician came and fixed the problem promptly getting power back up and running. Dog friendly, but no hose outside for washing off the sand. We had to come off the beach at the park where there is a hose. Would probably stay there again, but a hose would be a nice addition. And it would be harder to stay longer than about five days because there is no washer dryer for towels. We stayed five nights.

Pet friendly weekend at the beach

Clean, and well stocked with anything you may need, coffee pot, coffee cups, plates bowls, silver wear, a small refrigerator, and a hot plate. Bigger in person than the photos make it look. This is a second floor property that has moderate stairs to climb to get to the apartment. They do mention to keep your pet created when not with them in the apartment but do not mention this until you read the insert by the dog goody basket. The beaches are all dog friendly you can walk to the beach from the property. There is a great coffee and custard shop just outside the property with a huge kids play place and a fire pit. Great place to stay would definitely go back.

This location is great option for those looking for a non-hotel, dog-friendly option literally steps from the beach. The place was perfect and the dogs loved it!

Good stay for the price.

Good location, short walk to the beach, restaurants and parks. Was a little disappointed in the appliances in the loft. Also didn’t realize the lower portion of the property was not included in the rental. (Probably didn’t read ad close enough) Property could use some work, yard and driveway seem to be overgrown or not taken care of. House could use some work also showing signs of deterioration. Other than that it was a pleasant place to stay, would stay again... probably.

Nice weekend away

We weren’t expecting someone staying below us, but it wasn’t an issue. It was super close to the beach and restaurants. The perfect little getaway weekend.

The location was excellent. We loved the screened in porch. Layout was great. Privacy was great. Beach access was steps away. Loved wood flooring. Our two small pups were so happy and they loved being out on the porch.

It was a nice little place to stay. We just needed some relaxation and that’s what it gave us.

We enjoyed our stay. It’s a cute little place. The porch is nice. It’s walking distance from the beach, a coffee shop, the liquor store, and various shops and restaurants. I was thinking I remembered it saying we could use the backyard, but we’re unable to access it. As well, it states there’s a dryer...that’s not available either. All in a good experience though.

Disappointing

There were definitely communication issues. The inability to communicate with property management was unprofessional. The property is showing deterioration. Definitely deteriorating on the outside and needs replacement of furniture, appliances on the inside. (it took 30 minutes for the electric stove to fry an egg) There are stairs in this house that was not mentioned when we were looking. This made it hard on us who are older. I would definitely mention that in your description of the property. You do an inventory of your personal items, Which I think is great. I placed a call to let you know your inventory was not correct when I arrived. I still have not received a callback. There are definitely things that do need to be replaced, stove, furnitures and bed.

Great Location

I will be honest the property could stand a little TLC. Overall we really enjoyed it. The upstairs efficiency was clean and cozy. A lot more room to move around than a hotel. Enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch. The location was excellent. Walk out, turn left for about 50 feet, then turn right straight to the beach. The beach access is flat so pulling a beach cart is no problem. Also a block away from a great Brew Pub, a beverage store and a couple of good seafood restaurants. Would definitely recommend for a short getaway.

Pictures are deceiving

The house was very outdated and in bad shape. The furniture was worn, dirty and ripped. The lighting was very poor and made it difficult at night. The door to the porch cannot open all the way because it hits the fan. The bed was saggy and old and the linens were old and scratchy. I did not sleep well at all. I have rented on the island for 35 years and never had a place this bad. the location is great and so is the porch the rest is horrible. Also when the hard wood floor transferred to the carpet by the bed, there were staples or nails loose and i was always snagging my toe.

GIAIA at SSI

I was looking for a pet friendly property near the King and Prince resort where I was attending a conference. This property was literally across the street from my conference. The property had all the essentials, comfortable bed, a living area, small kitchenette, and fabulous location. Fit the requirements nicely!

Perfect location

Great location for a couple. Especially with pets. A few minor things such as empty salt and dish detergent bottles but otherwise decent shape and reasonable price. The upcharge for pets was significant though so be aware of that.
