Wild Turkey on the Rocks

This luxury home is set at 6,000 ft elevation on 20 acres located in the northern Black Hills, minutes from historic Deadwood. It sleeps up to 15 with 5 bedrooms and 4-1/2 baths (Main floor: 2 king ensuites. Loft: 2 twin beds. Lower level: 3 bedrooms- 1 queen ensuite, and two bedrooms that share full bath - 1 queen & 1 with two XL twins. 2 couches, rollaway & Pak-n-Play). Two-car garage. Gas grill, hot tub. Full kitchen with large island & gathering spots for groups and family events.

The space
Our Black Hills cabin is conveniently located in the north central Black Hills of South Dakota near famous attractions such as Mount Rushmore (49 mi), Crazy Horse Memorial (53 mi), Custer State Park (66 mi), Spearfish Canyon (18 mi), Needles Highway and Roughlock Falls. Just minutes from Lead and conveniently close to historic Deadwood Gaming (6 mi), Sturgis (19 mi), Spearfish (23 mi), Rapid City (39 mi) and Trailshead Lodge (24 mi).

NOTE: The final 6 miles of road leading to the property is maintained gravel. OK for motorcycles but use caution.

There is something for everyone here. Snowmobiling, ATV trails, walking, hiking and biking trails abound (Mickelson Trail and lakes). Five golf courses – all within 45 minutes away. In the winter Terry Peak ski resort is 10 miles away.

Beautiful and amazing place

Great house very clean and plenty of room for everyone. Only draw back was the 20 minutes to town each day but the house was worth the drive.

Great home for large groups

This place was amazing! Great central location for many sight seeing places. Our group came out with our UTV’s and it great coming back sitting on the deck relaxing and watching the wildlife. I would highly recommend this place!

Amazing Family Getaway

This place was phenomenal! Thos kods loved staying at the Turkey on The Rocks. They felt right at home and it was an amazing stay for our 4 legged friend. Its a bit of a drive in the hills but it pays for its self in the breathtaking view! Such an amazing adventure!

Gorgeous House

This house was gorgeous and had magnificent views from the deck. Access to ATV trails right from the house, close to Deadwood and Mount Rushmore.

Family vacation

We loved our 6 night stay at Turkey on the Rocks. There were 10 adults and 5 children under the age of 4! The location was so peaceful and quiet with a great view. The cabin was clean and had all the essential needs covered including shampoo, hand soap, Kleenex, plenty of towels for both bathing and using the hot tub, and kitchen needs. There was even two washers and dryers to help keep up on laundry needs. Recommend to anyone who has a slightly larger group and wants a great get away location.

An absolute gem in the woods near Deadwood.

Our group of 5 couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay at “Wild Turkey on the Rocks”. This large home, conveniently situated near Lead and Deadwood had everything we needed to serve as a base for our travels in the Black Hills area. The place was comfortable and welcoming with all amenities from a fully outfitted kitchen, cozy bedrooms, hot tub, bbq and ample space to relax after a day of sight seeing. The stunning forested surroundings provide a connection with nature you can’t experience in a hotel. The access off of pavement is a bit of a journey but safe and well worth the effort to reach this fantastic property. It worked perfectly for our group and we would gladly stay again in the future.

AMAZING Property!

This home is LOVELY! My family of 7 adults stayed here for a week and everything was incredible! My parents are in their 80s and the one level/zero entry was perfect for their limited mobility. Amenities are great and we found nothing lacking or for want. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could think of. Property is spacious enough, that if you need to break away for some "alone time", there is ample room. We enjoyed morning coffee on the front deck and afternoon happy hour on the back deck...beautiful! Hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. This is a delightful slice of private heaven! We would, without hesitation, stay here again.

Excellent Family Cabin

This cabin was perfect for our last minute vacation to the Black Hills. The hosts responded very quickly which helped with deciding where to book, the cabin is perfect with all the amenities you can think of, down to the robes to use for the hot tub, which was wonderful too. Sitting on the deck for early morning sunrises was a perfect way to start the day. Plenty of space for everyone, and great location for venturing out for the day, and coming back to a great area to wind down with games and relax. Overall, wonderful!

Beyond our expectations!

This place was insanely perfect! We were all in awe and I looked like a champ picking this house. Quick responses and owner thoroughly thought thru everything. Toiletries, Plating cards, hoses to wash our UTV’s. Everything was spot on. Thank you! We hope to book again soon!
