Amazing stay/location!

Just a 3 day weekend for my son to learn to surf. This was an ideal location with the Surf Diva Surf School just a couple minutes walk away. Restaurants, shops all right there. This is a perfect location! The place was exactly as pictured/described. It has a little wear and tear but perfectly clean and a lovely home.

Location! Location! Location!

We had an awesome time staying in this cute bungalow. The location couldn’t be better- close to the beach and restaurants. The house was clean, comfortable, and John was attentive and communicative. The tandem parking works fine by just communicating with the other renters.We stayed 2 months and can’t wait to go back!

Cool pad in La Jolla shores

We had another good stay at John's place in La Jolla shores. We love the location a few blocks from the beach and surf. The place is comfortable for our family and the outdoor patio is a great place to hang out and eat meals.

Clean, private duplex in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The outside spaces are very well maintained and extremely private. This was our second time staying here.

Winter getaway

Spent a long weekend here to escape New England winter. The location was perfect with easy beach access, and just minutes from La Jolla Village and Torrey Pines trails by car. The apartment was very clean and comfortable.

This was a great experience in all manners. Perfect place for my family.

This was the perfect stay for our family. We could do an easy walk to the beach. We had everything we needed for cooking meals and we had the right amount of space. The patio is fantastic. John was great, checking in a few times to make sure all was good and was generous in accommodating our arrival and departure times.

A wonderful stay.

We were very happy with all aspects of our stay. John was great in contacting me with all the info. The house was very nice with everything you would need. I loved the succulents and the little patio area. It was close to everything what more could you want. We parked the car in the garage and left it there.

Convenient to beach, restaurants, coast walk

Wonderful relaxing breakfasts on the porch w 10 foot hedges, lots of privacy. Beautiful succulents to look at. Fully equipped kitchen. Short walk to beach and restaurants. Lovely area. Relaxing. We walked on Torrey Pines Road and discovered the coast walk which has the towering cliffs and sea lions and the roaring Pacific Ocean.

Great location, responsive owner, and air conditioning

There are many property choices in La Jolla Shores. My family and I have repeatedly chosen this one due to the location (quiet, but immediately around the corner from great food and shops and ~5 minute walk to the beach), the responsive owner (John responds quickly), and the air conditioning (despite other owners suggesting that A/C is rarely needed in La Jolla, that's simply not the case anymore). We look forward to returning!

Happy surprises!

I was continually delighted to see that these hosts prepared for our stay as if we were long time friends staying in their home. More than the basics, anything we could have needed was provided! From beach towels, umbrellas, boogie boards and chairs, to a VERY well equipped kitchen. We even found a set of chopsticks to go with our sushi! And high quality and pretty things, like cups, plates and wine glasses. I was very appreciative of it all. Just a lovely home away from home in a fun and beautiful spot. I really can’t say enough. I just wished we had stayed longer; I really wanted to test out that grill!

Perfect Getaway

I generally stay in La Jolla 3-4x a year to get away from the Texas heat. This was my first time at this particular location and I will definitely be back! You simply can’t beat the location! It’s located in a really cute neighborhood with lots or privacy around the front and back patio. It’s in walking distance to the water and great restaurants! The house comes with everything you need, including comfy beds a washer/dryer and an assigned parking spot. John was responsive within a matter of minutes when I had a question. #biggestbangforyourbuck

So nice we've stayed there twice

Stayed here in September, and enjoyed it so much we stayed again in November. It has enough space for the 4 of us, is nicely furnished (photos don't do it justice), and clean. Kitchen is nicely equipped. The reserved garaged space is a huge plus bc on-street parking can be difficult to find at busy times. The location fits us as well - it's less than a block to several restaurants and shops, and down the street from the beach and a large park. We prefer the more small-town vibe of La Jolla Shores to the more commercial feel of La Jolla Village. John is a great host who gave us helpful recommendations and always replied quickly to questions. We hope to return again soon.

Wish I could stay longer

We have been visiting La Jolla for 17 years. It’s our go to family spot. La Jolla shores has kayaking, snorkeling, surfing and beach activities galore. Usually we stay in a hotel, but wanted to try VRBO this trip. The host, John, was great. Very responsive. The property is cute, clean and close to everything. It’s just what you need while staying in La Jolla Shores. We love the restaurants in town. All offering outside dining, due to the current state regulations. They closed down the street, so dining is outside with an ocean breeze. When we visit, we park the car and don’t use it again until we leave for home. The beach and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. La Jolla Shores has my heart! Can’t wait to return. Thanks John for letting us use your property! Lisa
