This house was great for our family. It was spacious, clean, and the walk to the beach was very short. The house was stocked with all the essential linens and cookware. The outdoor areas were very nice as well since they were shaded by all the trees on the property. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The lower level doesn't connect to the upper level with an interior staircase which would have been nice. The air condition took till the morning after check-in to drop to around 71 which made the first night a little warm, but it worked well the rest of the week. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay and I would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic house and location

Steps from the beach. Large screened front porch. Well appointed with indoor and outdoor space to spread out. Hot water shower outside. Love this house! This is our second time here and we will return again.

Wonderful beach house!

My extended family loved our reunion at this wonderful beach house. From the screened in porch to the upper deck, there was plenty of space for our party of 12 to hang out. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, and we appreciated the puzzles and board games in the living room! Best of all, the house was just a 2 min walk to the beach!

Perfect location for Boogie Boarding and Surfing

If you just go to the beach to sit or walk on it, please do NOT rent this house - it would be wasted on you. This house is located at the 11th Ave beach access which is where the surfing schools come every morning because the beach is so good for riding the waves. This was an absolutely perfect location for my family who spends all of their time riding waves. The reason we gave this house 4 stars instead of 5 is because: 1) The owner provides no beach stuff like boogie boards, umbrellas, or chairs. You have to bring your own or buy them down there or rent them. 2) We asked for a few extra bath towels for the women's hair but the owner at first did not respond and then told us no. (Basically, suck it up.) 3) We like to cook all our own meals and although there were plenty of place settings, the kitchen implements were lacking. However, if you are looking for the perfect location to ride waves, this is it! Good waves almost every day with water temperatures 80-84 degrees F. Amazing water!

Exceptionally clean, conveniently located

This is the perfect gathering place for large groups. The house is gorgeous and so clean. My 15 month old nephew was with us and even crawling all over the house his hands and knees were spotless! The bathrooms have all been redone and the kitchen is huge with lots of counter space to prep meals. Our children (aged 14-25) loved hanging out up in the crows nest with its spectacular views. The beach was literally right across the street and not very crowded. We will definitely be back! Thx Jim for a wonderful stay.

Great, large house on Folly Beach

This 5 bedroom house was perfect for family and friends to stay at Folly Beach! We loved being right across the street from beach access, hanging out on the screened porch, and going to the rooftop deck with the ocean view. Clean and plenty of space! The older kids even had a place to hang out w/ their own bathroom and TV. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place.

Amazing stay

This house is incredible! Loved the feeling of being in the trees, and the upper deck was a favorite for the whole group. Quiet neighborhood away from the activity in the center of town. The views are gorgeous, inside there is room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. The beach is literally across the street! Jim was a great communicator and answered all my many questions without delay. This listing is generally out of my price range but as it was a milestone birthday we splurged and had no regrets, it was totally worth it! Hope to come back someday when others can share in the expense because I Love This House!

Perfect house for us!

Perfect house for our family of 6 adults and 3 children. Spacious rooms and a well stocked kitchen. Loved the big screened in porch but would have liked lighting out there to play games at night. Great beach access. Hope we’ll be back!

Great Family Retreat

House and property were as advertised. Great gathering spaces inside and outside. Our family group of 9 had more than enough space and still had a lot of opportunities for group conversations. Walk to the beach was even shorter than we had imagined — just a few steps out the front door and you are on the beach access path, with the beach about 100 yards away!! Highly recommend for any family and/or friends gathering. Look forward to staying here again.

Excellent property and location!

We had a wonderful week in Folly! The property was very clean and well stocked. The owner, Jim, was great to work with and very responsive. Location was excellent, just a two minute walk to the beach! We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Slight problem to begin with, definitely NOT the owner’s fault. He did everything he could to solve it! We couldn’t have asked for better response! We have really enjoyed this house last summer and this summer too. We look forward to visiting it again next year! Thank you so very much!

Great House, Location, Experience

Wonderful vacation home, we enjoyed our week at Folly Beach. Location /access is perfect to the beach. The top deck is a great place for ocean views Compared to other VBRO rentals the house is lightly provisioned. Highly recommended for a big family experience.

Spring break steps from the beach!

Awesome place - very clean and cozy! Great for kids and families. Great open concept living room and kitchen. Huge wrap around, screened in deck. Lots of outdoor chill spots. Rooftop deck views of the ocean and sunsets to the west. Literally steps from the beach across the street. Easy access to the center of Folly and an easy 20 min drive to Charleston. We would love to come back!

Fantastic House for a Girls Trip

We rented Group Therapy for a Girls Trip, 10 of us! The location was perfect! Just a few steps to the boardwalk to take us to the beach! The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough room for all of us ! And 4 Bathrooms!! With 10 women that was a plus! The kitchen was well stocked and the house was adorable! On the downside, it would have been nice to have beach towels and chairs included in the rental. When you are traveling by air you just can't take those with you. We would definetly stay there again!

Great Family Beach House!

This house was perfect for us to join our SC extended family for a fun, relaxing vacation at the beach. Grandma, Papa, aunts, uncles, and cousins all had a blast and there was plenty of space for all 12 of us to rest and enjoy each other's company. The outdoor shower was a bonus. Folly Beach had lots to offer for our family - from building sea turtles on the beach to taking surf lessons and getting ice cream in town.

Family Beach Week

The pictures do not do it justice. Simply a fantastic property for a family gathering. The beach is so close that a beach day does not need planning … just come and go. The house was well appointed and we loved so many options for gatherings places, card and or board games. The location is close enough to town to easily bike for your daily needs. Simply - for us it was perfect. Thank you.

Great house and great location.

This house was perfect for extended family including 11 from ages 5 to 75. Plenty of space for everyone, plenty of bathrooms, great social area that fit us all comfortably. Short little stroll across the road to beach access and the ocean was RIGHT there! Great views from the birds nest and lots of nice outdoor space to enjoy too. Screened in porch had lots of seating and was great for swim/towel drying and sitting and listening to the ocean. Overall, a perfect beach house and a quick and easy commute into Charleston too! <3

We are Georgia folks whose daughter attended and graduated from USC. She then moved to Charleston for a job teaching. Next our son who lived in California moved to Folly. It was inevitable that we would find a place for our family to gather and spend time together.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Strange sounding but the house reminded us of a lake cabin that we used to have in South Georgia. It just felt like a place we could relax and be comfortable in. Also, we lean more toward the old school beach house vibe.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our big oak trees not only give us shade in the heat of summer but a beauty you can't buy. Also people love our "crow's nest" which gives you a view above our tree line.
