La Casa Santa Maria se encuentra en el centro de la Ciudad Vieja de Funchal, en la Isla de Madeira. Edificio centenario (sec. XVIII-XIX) totalmente reformado, con una decoración contemporánea, que ofrece todas las comodidades que ofrecen una excelente estancia.
El dormitorio es amplio, con una zona de lectura, televisión y baño privado. El área de estar tiene sofás, televisión con Internet y cuarto de baño. La zona destinada a las comidas tiene una cocina debidamente equipada. Acceso Wi-Fi gratuito en toda la propiedad.
A 2 minutos a pie del alojamiento hay minimercado, panadería y playa. La casa se encuentra a poca distancia del centro de Funchal, donde pueden disfrutar de muchas atracciones con interés histórico, cultural, lúdico y comercial - museos, iglesias, Mercado de los Lavradores, teleférico, restaurantes, marinas, puerto, puntos de información turística , terminales de transporte público y centros comerciales.
El Bosque Laurissilva, patrimonio mundial de la UNESCO, es uno de los principales puntos de interés de la isla, situada a 40 minutos en coche de la Casa. El aeropuerto internacional de Madeira - Cristiano Ronaldo, está a 20 minutos en coche de nuestra propiedad.
La Casa Santa Maria tiene una ubicación excelente. De acuerdo con la clasificación de los huéspedes, ésta se destaca de otras zonas de Funchal, por lo que la hace la preferida.

In the middle of the action

Lovely property, immaculately cared for, right in the heart of old town with shops, bars, and restaurants mere steps from your door. Owner was helpful and left lots of good information. Our stay was almost perfect: Only things missing were a balcony or terrace and a view (of any sort). The mattress was a little flat / tired / uncomfortable. Still, location and appointments were just wonderful.

14 Tage Madeira im Zentrum der Altstadt.

Mitten in der Altstadt von Funchal erwarten uns bei der Ankunft Carmo und ihr Mann Joao zu einer sehr netten und persönlichen Übergabe der Wohnung. Das alte Haus ist liebevoll restauriert und zeigt über 2 Etagen den Flair dieser alten Stadthäuser. Hier trifft geschmackvolle moderne auf altes Ambiente. Hier ist alles vorhanden was man für einen 14 tägigen Aufenthalt brauchen könnte. Moderne Küche mit Essecke, bequemes Wohnzimmer und im ersten Stock Schlafzimmer mit Bad. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt wie zu Hause und haben nichts vermisst. In der Umgebung liegt alles was man braucht fußläufig erreichbar. Viele Restaurants, ein Bäcker, der Markt, der Busbahnhof und ein Parkhaus. Wichtig wer mit dem Auto kommt benötigt in Funchal einen Parkplatz. Hier nochmal ein großes Danke an die Gastfreundschaft von Carmo und Joao.

Perfekte Wohnung im Zentrum der Altstadt

Eine schön gemachte, vollständig ausgestattete, und liebevoll renoviert und eingerichtete Wohnung auf zwei Etagen. Der tatsächliche Zustand hat die Bilder noch übertroffen. Sämtliche Informationen, Prospekte und Reiseführer über Madeira liegen in der Wohnung aus. Die nette Vermieterin steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Parken ist in einem sicherem und günstigen öffentlichen Parkhaus unweit der Wohnung möglich. Einen lieben Dank auf diesem Weg nochmals an Carmo

Tolle Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt von Funchal

Sehr schöne und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit sehr kompletter Ausstattung. Ideal um zu Fuß die Stadt zu erkunden. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Die Vermieter sind sehr zuvorkommend und nett.

Perfect condition in the old town of Funchal

Perfect condition in the old part of Funchal. Nearby are some nice restaurants which are visited also from the "Funchalis"themselves. The only "Makel" is, that due to the nearness of the the flat to the tourist restaurants, sometimes it is very noisy until midnight! Excellent flat in excellent condition - surely not my last stay here.

Beautifully refurbished old house in the heart of the old town, close to the waterfront

This beautifully refurbished house retains some of its original period features and is thoughtfully equipped for any length of stay in Madeira, with laundry facilities, spacious kitchen and television. It is located on a quaint cobbled street in the old part of the town yet is only a few minutes walk from the town centre, supermarket, and taxis and buses, so we could easily get to other locations on Madeira. There are many excellent restaurants on the streets near the house, and the well-equipped kitchen meant we could cook for ourselves too. We could see a glimpse of the sea from the bedroom window, and the waterfront was very close and our favourite places for an after-dinner stroll. The owners were so friendly and helpful. This property is definitely incredible value for money!

À deux pas du centre ville historique

Un appartement en duplex cossu,très propre, dans une maison ancienne. Belle rénovation. De 20h à 21h,chaque soir, musique à quelques mètres du podium placé devant la chapelle du Saint Corps. Ajoutez à cela des propriétaires charmants et d'une extrême serviabilité. Un petit conseil: venez sans voiture, elle vous encombrerait !

Beautiful apartment with everything we needed.

This property was spotless and very well appointed. It is ideally located if you enjoy the buzz of the Old Town - which we do. It is situated just behind the Porto Santa Maria Hotel with lots of restaurants within a few minutes, level walking. Do try the bar at the end of the street (just a slight uphill walk). It has wonderful juice and coffee & you sit overlooking the sea. Most restaurants offer Tourist menus - usually soup and a choice of main course - for between 10 and 12eu. Or splash out and go a la carte with any number of fish choices. This was our 3rd visit to the Carnivale and probably the best ever. Ordered a return taxi online & it couldn't have been simpler at under 40eu. Finally, Carmo's husband and daughter met us on arrival and were very friendly & helpful. Many thanks to them both - and for the local treats.

This apartment was impeccably clean, comfortable, well-organized, and in a perfect location.

Carmo was there to greet us and give us a walk-through and background of her family history with the house. The remodeling kept some historical features, but all appliances in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry were state-of-art contemporary. The bed was comfortable, and the bedroom well appointed for relaxing as well as having a desk for business needs. While there were plenty of linens, towels, and toilet paper, we were surprised that we had to go buy such basics as hand soap, kitchen and laundry detergent, and basic cooking items like spices, salt and pepper, oil, etc. On the other hand, we were greeted with some delightful Madeiran treats set on the kitchen table to introduce us to some of the delights of this island.

Gepflegte, gemütliche, komfortable und zentral gelegene Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt

Wir (junges, kinderloses Paar) fanden eine gemütliche, moderne, gut ausgestattete und sehr gepflegte Wohnung mitten in der Altstadt Funchals vor. Die Unterkunft präsentierte sich exakt wie auf den Online-Fotos. Lebensmittelgeschäfte, eine Bäckerei, viele Restaurants, der Hafen, das Stadtzentrum, der Busbahnhof sowie die Seilbahnstation sind innerhalb weniger Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Die Vermieterin ist sehr zuvorkommend, flexibel und steht bei Fragen jedweder Art via Telefon oder E-Mail prompt zur Verfügung. In der geschilderten Lage sind es von der Haustür bis ins Nachtleben der Altstadt nur wenige Schritte - wir mochten die nächtliche Gitarrenmusik sehr, ein sehr stimmungsvolles Ambiente! Jederzeit wieder!

Lovely House in Old Town

We were made very welcome by Carmo and her family. The house is lovely with all the amenities that one would wish for. The house was extremely clean and well looked after. It was exactly as described. The communication with the owner was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble however many questions we asked. The situation is perfect for touring, being close to the cable car and bus stops. There are many restaurants to choose from in the neighbourhood with a very convenient little supermarket and bakery nearby. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone going to Funchal to stay in Carmo's house.

Wunderschönes Feriendomizil

Das Haus ist beinahe perfekt. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und die Lage ideal. Alles was man braucht ist fußläufig erreichbar: Restaurants, Markthalle, Bäckerei die 24Std. geöffnet hat, verschiedene kleine Supermärkte, tolle Hafenpromenade, Museen etc, etc. Besonders bemerken möchten wir die Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von Carmo. und ihrer Familie. Wir werden dieses Altstadthaus allen unseren Bekannten empfehlen.

By stepping out of the house, we were in the middle of the center and street life. To shorten the shopping tour or to reach an restaurant before starving, it was perfectly located. Two parking places were very close (e.g. 1 min. walking distance or a cheaper one within 4 min. walking distance). The owner of the house is very friendly and is very anxious to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We definitively loved it and recommend this appartment. If we come back to Madeira once again we would book it a second time. Thanks and good luck for further bookings!

Schöner kann man in Funchal nicht wohnen

Das neu renovierte Haus in der Altstadt von Funchal ist für 2 Personen sehr geräumig und wunderschön eingerichtet. Wer Wert auf eine Unterkunft inmitten aller Sehenswürdigkeiten legt und nur wenige Schritte von Restaurants und Bars wohnen möchte, wird sich in diesem Haus sehr wohl fühlen. Die Ausstattung ist in jedem Bereich äusserst hochwertig; unten bequeme Sitzmöbel im Wohnbereich, Küche mit vielen Elektrogeräten, sehr schönes Geschirr und Gläser. Oben ein sehr bequemes großes Doppelbett und ein luxuriöses Bad mit geräumiger Duschkabine. In beiden Wohnbereichen gibt es je einen hochwertigen Flachbildfernseher und auch Wifi funktioniert problemlos. Der Kontakt mit Carmo war zu jeder Zeit sehr erfreulich, schnell und informativ und wir wurden von der ganzen Familie sehr herzlich empfangen und auch wieder verabschiedet. Diese Unterkunft ist uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!
