This lovely home provided every comfort and convenience for our family of 11, including one toddler. We were fortunate to have had perfect weather for sightseeing and shopping in Beulah,Traverse City, and up the Leelanau Peninsula---and for taking in the beautiful views of Crystal Lake, just steps away from where we slept. We really enjoyed our stay!

This place was awesome. We had such a great time with the beach so close to the house. The sunsets were amazing. The management team very responsive. We had no problems but they kept in touch with us several times during our stay. The house worked out beautifully for us. I took my two daughters and their families. They all had separate areas and room for the kids. We had plenty of space for everyone. The house was filled with anything you might need. And it was so clean when we checked in. I love when an owner keeps cleaning stuff handy. They had brooms and dust pans handy. So we could clean up the sand that the kids drugged in. They had a hand sprayer that had both cold and hot water to help with that. We were close to anything g you might want to do as well. Ice cream and the cherry restaurant was across the street. There was a quirky little animal place at the end of our street worth checking out if you have little ones. We hope to go back!!

The property was amazing. The home is perfect for a large family vacation with plenty of room and beds for all. The included kayaks and paddle boards were a hit with the kids. The location and host are great and highly responsive!! We will be back!!

Beautiful Lake House

This beautiful home checked all of the boxes for my family's vacation needs. It is situated right on the shores of Crystal Lake, within walking distance to town, has a private beach, lots of space and was clean! The well-appointed kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparation, as well as two dishwashers and two refrigerators. There were plenty of dishes and silverware, including plastic items for the kids. The bathrooms and bedrooms were roomy with kleenex, towels and toilet paper provided. The beach was clean and the water was warm and shallow. The owner provided paddle boards and kayaks, which we enjoyed very much, and there was a closet full of beach towels provided, as well. The town of Beulah is a short 10 minute walk away, and there you will find a few restaurants and a coffee shop. Not much in the way of shops, though. The Family Fare Grocery store is a short 10 minute drive away, and it had everything we needed. There is a wood-burning fire pit on the beach, but you will need to purchase your own firewood. There are walking paths and bike trails nearby. The town of Frankfort is a short drive away and has shops, restaurants, and a nice park for the kids to play in. Glen Arbor is 30 minutes north, with shops and restaurants. The owners of this property were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had during our stay. Any text we sent was returned within minutes. Highly recommend this property. We can't wait to return!

Walkable location, big home

We stayed at this property with a group of adult ladies for a weekend getaway. The house is clean and comfortable, plenty of space for a group. We loved that we were able to walk into town for dinner and shopping.

Wonderful Family Get-together

We recently enjoyed our third family vacation at the cottage. We love the location, the perfect view of Crystal Lake as well as easy walking distance to Beulah. The cottage is a perfect fit for our family, this year spanning children’s ages from four to fourteen. The lower level bunk area/tv room is a great area for the teenagers, and the four-year old spent many hours enjoying the beautiful sandy beach. The kayaks and paddle boards are always an attraction and a nice addition to fun along with the fire pit for S’mores. While the cottage was undergoing some renovation, the owners made every effort to guarantee that our stay would be comfortable and all that we expected from our previous stays. This year we enjoyed a beautiful new kitchen with gorgeous appliances and countertops. Another new bathroom is planned for next year. Communication with the owners is exceptional. We have already booked for 2024 and can’t wait to see the completed renovations next summer!

Great property

The backyard was the best for all of our friends to hang out at and enjoy all day and night long. All 14 people slept comfortably all weekend. A short walk to a cute brewery with great food. Sitting outside one night we saw the northern lights!!

Spectacular

Best sunsets ever in this generously equipped home. We rode bikes to Lake Michigan on fantastic trail, enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards, savored delicious home grilled dinners on the deck overlooking beautiful Crystal Lake. Easy access to fresh produce market, Dairy King, great golf and more. We were two families -- 11 total -- and all had comfortable accommodations. Great linens! Shhhh....don't tell anyone ;-)

Another Great Vacation

We found this property last year, returned again, and have already booked for next year. The home is perfect for our family, especially the lower level where teenage grandchildren have their own bunk space, bathroom, huge tv and ping pong table. The property is equipped with kayaks and paddle boards which we all used and enjoyed. Communication with the owners is excellent, and they text occasionally to be sure our week is going well and answer any questions. We all love the location and take full advantage of Beulah, the bike trail, and, of course, the spectacular sunsets. We can’t wait for our return!

Awesome Family Beach Vacation

Our family had 7 adults and 2 babies (both under 1 y/o). This was the perfect spot for us to relax with the little ones and for others to kayak and have outdoor fun. The house was fully stocked and lots of thoughtful touches for kiddos/families. Highly recommend !!!!

Beautiful home with an even more stunning view

My children and I stayed here for a short fall trip visit. We loved the stay and having the water just steps away made the week. There were many rooms to choose from, allowing us all to spread out and relax. The town is just a short walk away, and they have a few shops for your convenience. The hone came with kayaks, paddle boards, and all the water toys you could want. Thanks for the great stay!

Feels like a tropical getaway

Crystal Lake is so gorgeous and so is this house. We went for a girls weekend and it was so perfect! Enough room, bathrooms, and things to do that we could enjoy the house, each other and our own privacy. We rode the bikes in to town and made food there both was fun. The view and being able to hear waves crashing around you at night felt like we were on the ocean. Very special spot.

Thank you for the opportunity to rent your home. It was a great time for all. The layout was great, lake views from every room, Really appreciated the use of kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. Would definitely rent here again.

End of summer fun

This property is exactly like the pictures! I had six adults and we had plenty of space. Spent all of our time at the beach and on the water. The dock is new and very safe and sturdy. The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and beach towels! Great property!

What a wonderful week!

We had a wonderful week on crystal lake! The house was filled with everything we needed to cook, clean, rest, entertain, swim, kayak, paddle board, and then some! Great communication with owners and person who cleans. We can’t wait to return!

A Perfect Stay

We have rented on Crystal Lake for years, and this property was by far the best for our family. We love the location on Center Street with easy access to Beulah, the Cherry Hut, and the “long view” of the lake with beautiful sunsets. The beach area is beautiful, sandy with a great dock, fire pit, and yard. The outdoor “toys” are plentiful with kayaks, paddle boards, basketball, bikes, etc., which we all enjoyed. The house is spacious, nicely appointed and so well stocked with all linens and beach towels. Communication with the owners has been great. We have already booked for next summer and can’t wait to return!

Great host, location, home

Wonderful location on lake. Pleasant host who communicates well. No problems with house. House was a bit bigger than I expected, based on photos. The house comes with everything you could need, from beach toys and towels to surprisingly good kitchen knives and two coffee makers, little details like that.

We have a rather international family. My wife Hollie Anderson, grew up in Northern Indiana, while I (Prayush Saraswat), grew up in Mumbai, India. Hollie is a German teacher, and Prayush works in the hi-tech/software industry. We have two kids, Sam Anderson Saraswat and Leena Anderson Saraswat. They both enjoy playing Violin. Sam is now at MSU studying political science, and Leena is finishing high school. They both love this lake house. We all love to travel and have traveled to 6 continents. Our interests are reflected in the house and furnishings.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We have vacationed in this area for years, and have always dreamed if buying a house on the lake here. We particularly enjoy the clear water of Crystal lake and activities in Frankfort. It is our favorite place in the world to vacation. We thought this house could easily accommodate friends and family, and would be great for us to just walk out to the beach. We are glad it came up for sale in 2019.
